Irina...this Russian beauty turned my head without even being with me...
Mandy... She awakened something in me that I couldn't describe and it made me incredibly angry that some motherfucker was treating her like that... But I had no intention of interfering. After all, she was married and my therapist. Bad enough that I now also knew her private problems. I would certainly never be able to confide in her again, for the reason that now all I could think about was the bad things she was going through in private.
Completely overwhelmed with everything, I turned back and forth on this narrow couch and thought about searching Tina's bathroom for all kinds of pills several times, but I didn't do it because nobody should worry about me anymore because I thought once again , I would have to get high and escape from my own thoughts.
Before the sun came up outside, I sat up, put on my white sneakers and denim jacket, and then, unnoticed, made my way outside. I had to get away from here, far away, so I wouldn't screw up more innocent people.
Who knew if I wasn't being watched, because I was starting to get really paranoia...
Once in the lukewarm night air, I lit a cigarette while looking at Mandy's black BMW and then walked slowly towards this car to take a look inside.
There were a few books on the passenger seat, otherwise the car looked as neat as a new car.
"A wedding anniversary present," I suddenly heard her behind me and turned around to examine her in her cardigan and tight leggings. Her dark blonde hair was pinned up, which made her face look even more delicate.
"To make up for the black eye?" I asked with a scathing undertone and she immediately avoided my gaze to step next to me with her head bowed.
"He's actually a good guy," she tried to defend him, which was even worse than his act itself. I just couldn't understand women like that. Why did they always think they had to defend their violent husbands? Did you seriously think you deserved this? No woman in the world deserves such shit...
Even Rian, who was actually violent towards everyone, would never think of harming a woman...
Mandy looked deep into my eyes again and I just shook my head in contempt.
"How can you stand here with a face like that and claim he's a good guy at the same time? That's absolute bullshit."
Her eyes widened, but more out of anger at what I said.
"You don't know either him or me and you certainly don't have the right to judge that," she ground out in a trembling voice, crossing her arms to stare stubbornly at her car in front of us.
"I'll tell you something," I interjected, flicking my cigarette away to stand right in front of her, causing her to look up at me shyly. "I don't need to know him to know what an asshole he is! It's enough to see what he did to you. Are you afraid of him or of breaking up? No problem! I can help you. You want keep taking it? No problem either. Then go for it, but don't start trying to tell me he's not a bad guy, because that's making a fool of yourself and you know it!"
She swallowed and I could see her beautiful blue eyes filling with tears very closely, but sooner she turned back to the front door and just ran away...
Apparently I wasn't the only one running from trouble...
"Fuck," I whispered, briefly contemplating whether I'd gone too far and whether I should go after her, but I watched dazedly as she closed the door from the inside, then headed home, too .
Since I didn't even know where I was, I looked for street signs and then called a taxi, which luckily appeared a few minutes later.
When I got home I immediately ran inside without even paying attention to John and since it was the time when everyone was getting up, I just wanted to go to my room and get some sleep, but of course my family thwarted this plan.
"Where have you been?" Keeva asked, looking up from the table at me, instantly losing her composure.
"Oh my god," she cried out in horror and jumped up from her chair, which also caused Odran to get up from the couch. "What happened?!"
She very carefully put her hands on my cheeks, gently ran my fingers through my hair and started to cry slightly, but I didn't want to see her like that... No one needed to cry because of me....
"Couple of boys in front of the disco," I grinned, trying to play it cool, but neither of them seemed to believe me.
"It was the Chinese, wasn't it?" Odran growled angrily, forcing me to look him straight in the eye with his hand on my chin. I nodded, now having to hold back my tears myself. "I'll kill them all!", he yelled angrily and was about to go to the door, but I held his arm back and Keeva squeaked in complete dismay and ran to the front door to block Odran's way.
"If I don't let myself out right away, then-"
"Silence!!!", Rian whispered to all three of us and came down the stairs, causing us all to look at him in shock. "Odran, sit down immediately and calm down! Impulsiveness and ill-considered actions lead to mistakes and you can't afford them!"
"And you, Keeva," he turned to her, stepping close to kiss her gently on the cheek. "Check on Esme, please. She's waking up."
After Keeva gave him an approving smile, she gave me another sympathetic look and then ran upstairs.
"And we, we'll talk in peace now."
