Chapter 42
"Can you keep being intimate with him if he assures you a future together?"
"I-I-I don't know. I guess I will. I like being in his arms, and I can't refuse him knowing he'll hurt. I don't like hurting him too. Knowing we have a future together will lessen the guilt I feel because I know Zavier. His word is gold and he doesn't lie."
She looked surprised, a little skeptical. "He doesn't lie? Ever?"
I nodded firmly. "Zavier doesn't believe in lying. 'Why lie when I can say the truth and get away with it?' that's Zavier. He's blunt and goes straight for what he wants and says whatever he wants to say without mincing words."
"Woah....you do know him so much. That's a great step to the right direction, understanding your partner." She stated in admiration.
I ducked my head, shyly.
"So, I take it you want to marry him?"
I thought about it and the answer came immediately, "I love him, Bonnie." I whispered softly.
"I know you do. A woman like you would never give her body that way unless her heart is involved. Deeply involved."
"I love him and I want to be with him. He cares for me too." I smiled in memory, "He does things I do even if he doesn't understand them, and he doesn't joke with my safety. He's.....he's trying to change too because of me."
"I noticed the relationship between you too, Lani. That man loves you so much, that much I don't need to be a therapist to pick that up. I was the one he kidnapped for you, remember?" She sounded amused.
My cheeks flushed and I nodded. "I just wish....."
The smile disappeared from her face. "You wish for more with him. And you also wish for a break from intimacy and you also wish he'll know and understand all these, right?"
"Yeah...." I nodded once.
"Then, talk with him."
"Huh?"
She breathed deeply. "Lani, in a relationship, communication matters most. Love is great but without communication and understanding, that relationship will remain shaky no matter how solid you think it is."
"I should talk with him? A-About this? It's already embarrassing enough telling you about it...." I trailed off.
She nodded, concedingly. "It's hard, considering your background and upbringing, but you have to try. That communication matters and your man, he seems ever ready to listen and even make you happy. All you have to do is talk to him about it."
I swallowed once. "Zavier, I don't think he can....uhm... That is, I don't think he can....uhm...." My cheeks heated up badly, and I waved my hands around helplessly.
She chuckled softly at me. "You don't think he can keep his paws away from you?"
I nodded, relieved she took the words from my mouth.
She grinned. "And what about you? Can you keep your paws away from him?"
I flushed. "I l-like being in his arms too... It's just the way it makes me feel.... We're not married." I said sadly.
She got up and stretched herself. "Communication, babygirl. You need to talk with him. He's concerned about you so I'm almost sure he'll do anything to make you happy."
"Okay." I whispered at last. "Thank you so much, Bonnie."

Bonnie stayed until evening before she put on her work clothes again, ready to leave. I got to know a lot about her also.
She has a daughter my age, and a husband who doesn't care much for her. She gave me her home address and her office address.
On the door, I thanked her again. She turned towards me.
"Your relationship will only be what you make it to be, my dearie. There is no manual to marriage or relationship. You're a very lucky woman, having such a man like yours who can go to extremes for you to be happy."
"He listens to you and you don't know how lucky you are for having such feminine power. You're not a bad woman, I know you wouldn't abuse that feminine power like some women too. So, you sit and talk about it like couples. Ask him his future plans for you two, okay?"
I smiled genuinely and hugged her tight. "Thank you so much. I'll do as you say."
After she left, I entered back to the house and thought of everything she said. I feel happy and lighter, having shared these things with another.
I was in the kitchen cooking when the door opened. My heart panicked as I wondered if it's Zavier or another person. I stopped everything I was doing and listened...
"And where's my favorite woman? The only light in this assh0le Zero's black life? Lani, honey? You're second lover is here, where are you!?"
My heart relaxed and I grinned to myself when I heard Morris's voice.
Followed my the sound of Zavier hitting his head and saying, "Behave yourself, you motherfvcker."
"I'm in here!" I raised my voice from the kitchen.
"Morris is here, honey! With your kidnapper, of course! Shit, always knew he's a killer but didn't know the bastard will turn to a woman-napper too." Morris shouted again. Written โ๏ธ by Presh Alicia Daisy.๐ต
