CHAPTER FIFTY TWO: A visit to the cemetery.
Kathleen groaned impatiently as she waited for her father's car to drive out.
She glanced at her wrist watch and tapped her feet angrily.
They were already running late and yet, there was no trace of him at all.
At that moment, her father's car drove out of his villa and Kathleen hissed in annoyance.
They were going to visit the cemetery where her mother was buried.
That was the tradition they set since her mother died. Although Alexander didn't care so much about her mother, he was never this late.

( DOMINICK'S POV )
I drove my car slowly through the gate and saw Kathleen's car parked at the corner.
Had she been waiting for long?
Well, that wasn't any of my business. I was in high spirits, as I just finished banging Rita.
Seems she was getting even better in bed.
I wondered why Kathleen hadn't parked her inside, and got into mine.
We never drove separately to her late mother's cemetery....
I dialed her number,
'Ring.... ringggg.'
"Why are you still in your car? Get into mine." My tone was authoritative as I spoke.
"I don't want to. Let's go." Kathleen's voice was cold and distant.
I narrowed my eyes as I hung up the call. Was she really going against my orders now?
When we got back, I had to do something. For the sins of his child, her father would pay double.

I chuckled evily as I remembered the man in my underground hideout.
Kathleen's car began moving at that moment and I followed her lead.

We stood solemnly in front of my mother's grave as we boweed solemnly.
We dropped a bouquet of flowers on her grave.
Red roses... That was my mother's favorite flower.
"Are you really going against me now?" I heard my father question beside.
I was annoyed; couldn't he wait till we were out of here before saying whatever it was he wanted to say?
"Can't it wait?" I turned to glare at my father.
"What? You have been acting indifferent towards me Kathleen. I'm still your father!" He thundered.
Oh... Did he just recover from amnesia? I thought he had lost his memory, forgetting totally that I was his daughter.
"When you act like one, I will too." I folded my arms as I said nonchalantly.

The sound of the slap resounded around the quiet cemetery. I held my cheeks in disbelief as I glared harder at the man whom I called my father.
"Did...you....just....slap...me?" I questioned slowly.
My father had never raised his hands on me. This was the first...
All because of what? I knew it was because of his new lover.
"Did you slap me because of a woman, dad?" My voice was cracked as I struggled to hold back my tears.
It wasn't the slap that even hurt me. It was the reason why he slapped me.

I turned to my mother's grave, gave a last now and left my father standing there.
I didn't even turn back to look at him, not did I say another word.
This time... I had to do the investigation myself.
My brain began whirring into action.
How was it possible that the woman disappeared?
I knew just one person who could help me....

I maneuvered my car towards the direction.
An hour later, I arrived at an abandoned warehouse and I carefully parked my car at a corner.
It was already noon....
Guarding the entrance were two burly men. Their muscles bulged through their tight shirts.
I remained calm as I walked over to them.
It's been a while since I came here...
"Who are you looking for?" One of them questioned as they both looked at me.
I felt threatened as I heard his voice.
"I'm here to see the boss." My tone was calm. I was even surprised, I could remain that calm. But only I knew, how my heart was palpitating.
"The boss? And who are you?!" They barked as they scrutinized me from head to toe.
"Tell him, Kathy is here to see him." I replied.
One of them went inside to report. When he came out again, he led me into the warehouse.
It was dark inside and somewhat eerie even...
We followed different turns and twists, and soon arrived at a brown door.
The guy knocked and we heard a low, "Come in."
I took a deep breath and walked into the room.
Tony was calmly seated on a chair as he smoked away on a cigarette.
"It's been a while, Kathy." His deep voice said.
"Tony." I nodded.
He gestured towards a seat and I sat down, with a racing heart.
"So? What are you here for? You can't be here to just visit me, or are you?" He smiled and I smiled back.
It was hard to believe that a guy like this whose looks were out of this world, with an innocent face, could be a thug.
He was the boss of the underworld, Tony.
I knew that so well...
He pretended to be a kidnapper, but I knew who he was, because he told me.
"I know I might sound stupid, but you were the only one that came to mind when I thought of who could do the job well." I began.
I narrated everything to him, and at the end of my explanation, I could see him chuckling in amusement.
I was puzzled; what was funny?
"You want to investigate who your father's sex buddy is? I'm sorry, I can't help but laugh. Hahaha..." He bent over and laughed heartily.
As he sat up again, his face closed up and he became serious...
"I will help you, but what's the price?" He leaned back casually on the chair.
I was expecting that question.
"Four million." I said calmly. I had the money, why not spend it?
"Deal. Come back for your response, tomorrow." He let out some smoke.
"That fast?" I chuckled.
I trusted Tony to do a job well done.
All of a sudden, I couldn't wait for tomorrow to arrive.
