Zabellana
"Let's go?" I asked her.
She nodded.
I walked up to Asmo to say he can leave but when I turned around I saw Silvana in front of Alta.
Again! For the second freaking time!
My mouth gaped as she pulled her hair.
Asmo and I looked at each other. I think he already knew the cue. Within a second he is near Silvana but someone stopped him from getting close to her.
A woman appeared in front of Asmo in the blink of an eye.
I frowned at him. Who is this one?
I was about to walk towards them but Asmo turned to me and shouted. "Stay where you are, Adra."
I stopped in my tracks.
The woman looked in my direction. She showed her fangs and hissed at me.
So she's a vampire like them.
And Silvana and Asmo seem to know him.
This is really Silvana, with another one!
Her brows furrowed as she threw a glance at me. She scanned me from head to toe.
She squinted her eyes, her head tilted as if she's trying to remember something while looking at me.
I scanned her as well.
Her ice blonde hair is short, skin is pale just like Asmo and Silvana. She has a thin frame but she looks more mature than Silvana, she's like her sister if you compare the two.
She has foxy eyes that's enticing. But you can see the danger in her deep black eyes. I don't know why but she seems familiar to me just by looking at her eyes and hair.
Like I saw her from somewhere before.
"Leave her alone, Zabellana." Asmo warned her.
"You can't tell me what to do," she said as she glared at Asmo.
She threw a glance at me but somehow her face softened as she looked at me.
"She's…"
Before she could even say another word, Silvana pulled Alta's hair that distracted her.
"Leave her alone Silvana. Why can't you stop hurting her?"
"She hurts me first!" shouted Silvana.
She looked at Zabellana who's still looking at me. I don't know what's wrong with her but she keeps staring at me.
"What are you doing Zabellana? Help me here!"
Before I could even notice Zabellana was in front of me.
"Adrasteia." She murmured.
My eyes widened as she raised her hands, reaching for my cheeks.
"Asmo!" I screamed.
"Zabellana!" Silvana shouted.
Before she could even touch my cheeks Asmo is in front of me, hiding me behind his back.
Silvana held Zabellana. She threw a glance at me, her eyes went back to Zabellana. She took a deep sigh.
"Don't do it," Silvana whispered to Zabellana.
It was as if Zabellana had returned to her senses. But he couldn't take his eyes off me.
"Protect that human, I will come back for her," Silvana said as she glared at Alta.
"If you don't leave now, there will be problems, Silvana. You even included Zabellana in your petty jealousy."
He glared at Asmo before leaving.
Asmo turned to me as soon as they left. He cupped my cheeks.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
I nodded.
"W-what's wrong with that one? Zabellana's? It's weird..."
"Don't mind her, Adra." Asmo smiled lightly.
"But she called my name." I reasoned.
"I heard her call me Asmo. Didn't you hear it?"
"That's nothing, Adra. Don't mind her. Let's take your friend home before Silvana comes back," he said.
I sighed.
"Alright." I kept a smile.
Fuck shit. What's wrong with the other vampire?
That's Zabellana?
Maybe it also likes Asmo?
The heartthrob of vampires! Even humans or vampires go crazy with Asmo's fatigue!
Maybe even monsters go crazy!
Alta returned home safely to Tito. We just made an excuse for his ruined clothes. Fortunately, his color returned quickly and he no longer looked as anemic as before.
I didn't let Asmo come anymore because Tito was sure to be surprised too.
I am currently walking on the path back to us. It's almost dawn. I really hope that Mama is in a deep sleep because I was really dead when she found out that I was still out late at night.
While I was walking, I couldn't help but pick up a small stone from the road and throw it back. Then pick again.
"Get away from me!"
I frowned and stopped throwing stones when I heard that.
Fuck shit.
What is happening again?
Am I hallucinating? With so much that happened earlier, am I really hallucinating now?
What did I hear?
I glance sideways to see if there is someone aside from in the road.
Nothing.
"Help!"
I shrieked when I heard it again. I knew I would be scared before but until now after what I have seen I will still be scared.
"Help! It's not me, let me go!"
Fuck shit.
This is not in my head. I can clearly hear someone scream and ask for help.
I turned my head somewhere.
The sound is coming from the bushes near the road.
But I just got there a while ago, what could this be? Does Silvana have any anger?
Because it is impossible that he is choking Alta again!
Before I could even think about who it was, I started running towards the direction of the source of the scream.
I don't want to die in guilt because I didn't help someone who needs it.
I dug my eyes near the bushes. I took some apart to get a closer look. I'm hiding because I'm not sure what's wrong, later it turns out to be wolves. Of course I needed a plan to help this girl.
I followed the screaming voice and it led me to the part of the forest where I first saw the cult of vampires doing a ritual, sacrificing the human girl.
I duck down so no one will see me if there are a lot of dangerous creatures out there.
"Asmodeus! Help!"
I squinted my eyes.
Did I hear right? Did she just say Asmodeus?
"Help me! Please help me!"
I immediately sped up so I could see who was asking for help in the distance.
"Layla." I muttered in between my heavy breathing.
He was surrounded by blood vampires. They are wearing the same red cloak with a hoodie on.
"I heard earlier, he is said to be the gift of the moon," said the vampire who was by his side, holding his right hand.
"How sure are you?" said the vampire who was slightly taller than the other, it was in the middle and opposite Layla.
"He told the person he was talking to several times," Said the vampire on his right.
"Again and again isn't it?" said one.
"Yes, he is right. He is said to be the gift of the moon, that is the truth," answered the other.
"No, please..." Layla pleaded as she tried to get her arms back as they pulled her harder.
A buzz on the pocket of my phone made my eyes widen. The next thing I knew my phone rang loudly. I caught the attention of the blood vampires.
I reached for my pocket and tried to stop my phone from ringing but it kept going.
I look up trying to see if they notice where my direction is. I stiffened where I stood when one of the blood vampires was already in front of me.
Fuck shit.
He towered over me. He grabbed my arms easily as I felt weak at the sight of him. I try to fight but he is much stronger than me. He dragged me towards the other blood vampires.
"Now who is this?"
"I don't know," he said.
He pushed me beside Layla who is now tied up. I'm on my knees, just like her. One of them tied me up with a thick rope.
I glanced at her. Her brows furrowed.
She looks confused, she can't even utter a word.
"Why is she here? We can't risk anyone seeing us here. You should kill her… so we can move on and extract the power from the gift of the moon," the leader of the blood vampires said.
My eyes widened with what he said.
I gulped slowly.
Fuck shit. Is this the end of my life?
This is why you shouldn't stick your nose into someone else's business.
Layla stared at me.
"Why are you here Adra?" she asked.
"I… I heard you scream."
"Why don't we let this one live? So the other vampires will know we killed the gift of the moon?"
The vampire leader stopped because of what his companion said.
He stared at me.
"That's right. Leave her alone, and make her watch as we kill the gift of the moon."
I looked at Layla as they dragged her to the middle table. She is helpless even though she tried to fight.
"No..." she pleaded.
"No, please don't do this. I need to tell you something please."
"Just hear me out," she begged them but they didn't listen.
I don't know what to say at the moment. It's like my world has stopped, I can't believe what's happening. They are here, they are real.
The prophecy is real!
They want to kill the gift of the moon so they can get his power.
The vampire leader positioned himself in the middle and raised his hand. Both of Layla's hands and feet were neatly tied to both ends of the stone.
I tried to unclasp my rope to help Layla but the other blood vampire got to me and hit my head as he saw me trying to free myself.
He raised both of his hands, holding a sharp dagger that shines through the light of the moon.
I looked up at the sky. It was exactly a full moon today, so they decided to do it with Layla. Because they know it's a full moon, and he's even stronger because he's the gift of the moon.
"You might have fooled the other vampires just like the Vointeroiz but not us."
The Vointeroiz?
Isn't it, the clan of Vointeroiz?
If so, are they enemies of their Asmo clan?
If so, they are the most powerful clan here in Comillios. They're reigning but the blood vampires don't want they're rules. They want to make their own rules and make every vampire suffer.... I'm sure they would also terrorize the humans if they got the chance to rule all the vampires.
If Asmo's clan doesn't want to interfere with humans, for sure blood vampires want more than interfering. They will kill for blood.
"We are the blood vampire and even if you are the gift of the moon, you don't know how to use your power to its full potential. It's useless. So just give it to us." He smirked. His eyes turned darker. It's consuming him so much.
"The Vointeroiz reign will end now," he said. He jumped up and was about to stab Layla.
"Wait!" I screamed.
They all looked at me.
Fuck shit.
I swallowed hard.
"Don't kill her."
Their leader ignored me, he looked back at Layla.
"Please, listen to me!" I shouted once again.
But he's not paying attention to me.
"Don't kill her! Kill me instead!"
This time I caught his attention. He turned around and stared at me.
"It wouldn't be hard to kill you little human. But you don't have what we're looking for. So shut your mouth and don't try to make yourself a heroine. You are not," he glared at me as he raised his hands once again. He swung it to stab Layla on her chest.
"I'm the gift of the moon!"
