06. Sinful Book 2
It was Aliyah’s and Harry’s engagement party, and I was nowhere near being ready. I hadn’t gotten my dress yet, because I kept helping Aliyah and Harry do stuff, and I wasn’t even her event planner or anything, Aliyah just wanted me where she was.
I had left my house that Saturday as early as 7:00am to go get Aliyah’s dress with her, I drove her, and ever since then, I kept on doing stuff for her, not that I was complaining, I was just tired.
“At this rate, I might not attend the party,” I told Aliyah while she was getting her makeup done.
“What? Are you trying to die?” Aliyah yelled.
“Why don’t you send Antonio with your dress, then get your makeup done after mine?” She suggested. That was a good idea but she didn’t know that I didn’t have a dress yet.
“I’ll just go get my dress, don’t worry,” I told her, she shook her head, she didn’t want me to leave. We were at the hotel where the engagement party was to hold.
“I just hope you know that I’m not going to do all this during the wedding, right?” I asked and she laughed.
“Then who’s going to do it?” She asked and I shook my head.
“You’re going to have to find a friend that loves you enough to do shit like this for you, then,” I rolled my eyes.
“Don’t sweat it, you’re the one, there’s no one else in my life,” she said and we laughed. Aliyah was a pain in the butt, especially when she wanted to get stuff done, she was cranky and loud, not too loud but loud. She wanted her day to be perfect so I understood where she was coming from.
While Aliyah and I were talking about completely random stuff, my phone started ringing. Antonio was calling, it was FaceTime.
“Hey,” I smiled at him.
“You look like shit!” Antonio noticed. Stupid fucking pig.
“My day was very stressful darling, thanks for asking,” I rolled my eyes.
“Come on, you know I didn’t mean it like that,” He said and I rolled my eyes at him again.
“You look hungry,” he said.
“I am hungry. Why did you call me?” I asked him.
“I missed you, but someone missed you more,” Antonio rolled his eyes and Diego appeared behind him, holding on to his neck. They were both shirtless.
“Mommy, I miss youuuu. Where are you? You're coming back home, right?” Diego asked and I nodded.
“Yes of course darling, and I miss you too,” I smiled at him.
“Look at you being so biased. When you saw my face, you didn’t smile at me like that,” Antonio whined.
“Why would I?”
“Antonio!!!” Aliyah yelled and appeared behind me.
“You’ve been ignoring my calls, don’t make me kill you sir!” Aliyah yelled at Antonio.
“Leave me alone. Go back to painting your face!” Antonio dismissed. I laughed at the two.
“What time are you guys coming here?” I asked Antonio as it was already 5:35pm.
“Soon love, do you need anything?” Antonio asked me.
“Search my closet and bring a dress, I didn’t take out one, see you guys later” I told him and he nodded.
“Say bye to mother,” Antonio told Diego and he waved at me, smiling with his missing teeth.
“Byeee,” Diego yelled and I hung up.
“I don’t know why you guys don’t want to get married,” Aliyah said, I smiled and went into the bathroom to take a long bath.
When I finally came out, Aliyah was done with her makeup, and her stylist was trying to get her into her dress.
“Hey, a package came in for you,” Aliyah told me, pointing at the box on the bed.
“What is that?” I asked her.
“I think it’s your dress, Antonio sent it” she said and I nodded.
I went to the box and opened it up, it was really a dress, but it was a new dress. I smiled at the sparkling blue fabric.
I told him to get a dress from my closet and he got a new one.
“Come get your makeup done you love struck puppy!” Aliyah yelled and I laughed at her words.
Aliyah and I were finally done with all thing hair and make up. The party had already started but we were allowed to be fashionably late, although we were very later because Antonio kept calling and calling, while Aliyah and I kept taking unnecessary pictures and selfies.
Only when we got to the hall at the hotel, that we knew how late we were. The MC announced Aliyah and I in, so we walked hand in hand to the stage, with the spotlight on us.
“Why am I nervous?” I whispered to Aliyah, while keeping a fake smile on my face as I looked at the people that were present.
“Bro, I’m nervous too,” she said and we laughed.
“Where’s the fiancé?” the MC asked and Harry waved his hand, smiling at his woman. The MC called him up to the stage.
“Well, bye baby, I’m going to go meet with my man,” I hugged Aliyah and made my way down the stage; the thing was, Antonio was already waiting for me, with little Diego at his side.
“Hey,” I smiled at him.
“Hey,” he smiled, grabbed my waist and kissed me.
“Now I want to tear this dress off of you,” Antonio groaned in my ear.
“No can do, I love this dress,” I smiled and broke away from him. I carried Diego in my arms smiling at him.
“You look good,” I smiled at him.
“I’m a prince mama,” Diego said and I laughed.
“Hey,” Dan walked over to us.
“Hey,” I smiled at him.
“You won’t believe what just happened!” Dan said.
“What?”
“Turns out I know Harry, we were high school mates, he asked me to be one of his groomsmen,” Dan was happy.
“Good for you boo,” I smiled
“You look good mami,” Dan complimented me, biting his lip.
“Hey,” Antonio appeared in between us, blocking Dan’s view of me.
“Eyes off my woman!” Antonio warned him. Diego and I laughed at Antonio.
“Nice to see that you have something worth protecting,” An older man smirked, keeping his eyes on Diego and I.
“Father,”
“Antonio,”
