11. Sinful Book 2
The week we had all been waiting for had come. It was Aliyah's and Harry's wedding week, so a lot of preparations had to be done. And being maid of honor entailed that I had a lot to do as well.
I had taken the whole week off at work because of Aliyah. She said she needed me everywhere she was; I couldn't say no.
I was currently at home, packing a bag for my one week stay with Aaliyah. She was pretty serious about the whole needing me everywhere she was thing, so we decided that I was going to stay with her for the week, while we got her ready to get married. Aliyah was the happiest I had ever seen her since we met, and her happiness rubbed off on everyone. It was impossible to be around her and not smile or laugh; She called it the "Aliyah effect".
Antonio and Diego weren't home yet, and I wanted to see them before Aliyah came to get me. Packing my stuff brought memories of when I traveled back home; Antonio and Diego had a hard time accepting the fact that I was to go somewhere else for a long time. I found it cute that men wanted me around that much.
"We're home!" Antonio's loud voice came in. Talk about the devil...
I ran out of the room to go meet them; Little dirty Diego ran into my arms, laughing and having the time of his life as I ruffled his hair.
"You hungry?" I asked Diego. He nodded his head, dancing around me; I smiled at his cuteness and turned to Antonio.
"Yes, yes I'm hungry, and you know what I'm hungry for," Antonio licked his lips as he let his eyes roam over my body freely. This man!
"Get your sorry mind out of the gutter, Sir. We have a little child at close range!" I widened my eyes at Antonio. I knew he was just saying that to tease me, but damn I needed some action.
"And what if I don't?" Antonio walked sexily to me, taking up all my personal space as he bit his lower lips while looking at mine. I looked down at Diego, who was looking up at Antonio and I with wide eyes like it was his first time seeing us.
I smiled and looked back at Antonio, who rolled his eyes and crouched down to Diego's height.
"Go to your room big man, the adults want to have a very long conversation," Antonio ruffled Diego's hair while keeping his eyes on me.
"Okay," Diego was unsure but he went up to his room anyway.
"Now you can't use the little boy at close range as excuse. He's not at close range anymore," Antonio bit his lips again, forking his fingers through his hair.
"I'm busy and Aliyah will be here any minute now," I smiled at him.
"I don't want to believe you're refusing me," Antonio feigned hurt.
"I'm refusing you, sir" I pressed my lips together.
"Do you even have to go? I mean you can do all your maid of honor duties and come back home," Antonio whined, wrapping his hands around my waist.
"I wish I didn't have to go too. I don't want to be away from you both, but I don't have a choice, the whole thing has been settled," I told Antonio.
"That doesn't make any sense, I mean it's not like she'd die without you with her," Antonio rolled his eyes.
"Let me talk to her," Antonio offered.
"No!" I stopped him. I knew it was going to be unfair to Aliyah if I changed her plans last minute. I knew what I went through with her during the engagement party. Aliyah was the type of bride that would stop at nothing until everything was set and perfect for her big day. Aliyah liked to plan stuff thoroughly and changing her plans last minute would be staging a war, and I didn't want that.
"It's not like I'll stay with her forever," I laughed.
"And you know we're going to see each other every other day. Calm your horses sir, I'm not traveling to the other side of the world,"
"It sure does feel like it," Antonio pursed his lips. I laughed at him.
"I need to go prepare everything before she gets here," I took Antonio's hands off my waist and ran back to our room to put my things in order.
An hour later, Aliyah arrived at the house looking chic as ever. She had a certain glow around her that was surreal. It made me think about myself and Antonio. Would I have been half as happy as Aliyah is if I had agreed to marry Antonio? I shook the thought out of my mind as I watched Antonio and Aliyah fight because of me.
"Why must she spend the nights with you?"
"Why else do you think? I want to fuck her till day break everyday till my wedding," Aliyah joked.
"Fuck you! Don't you dare go close to her at night or I swear I'll hunt you down," Antonio threatened.
"Empty threats. I saw her before you, so I have every right to her," Aliyah laughed.
"Well I loved her first, you can take your stupid ass out of my house," Antonio fired back.
"You both know I'm right here, right?" I asked them. They turned to me like they just realized I was standing beside them all this while.
"Sorry," Antonio apologized.
"Diego, mommy is leaving," Antonio called Diego. Little running steps were heard as the small boy ran down the stairs.
"I've told you a thousand times, baby, don't run on the stairs," I scolded. The child didn't even bother answering me, he ran down anyway.
When Diego finally got to the living room, I was heartbroken as I saw the tears in his eyes.
"Why are you crying, baby?" I asked him.
"I want to go with you!" Diego wailed. Oh my poor heart. My heart swelled at his words.
"Please mommy," Diego cried. I looked up at Antonio begging him for help with my eyes, but the unlucky bastard looked away from me, pretending he couldn't see what was going on.
I hugged Diego tightly, telling him I'd be gone for a few days but I'd see him everyday. It wasn't enough for the little boy.
"Okay look, daddy will take you to the part when I leave, then he will bring you to me, and you will stay with me for a few hours. Daddy will come collect you after those hours are done, okay?" I asked him. Diego smiled and nodded while Antonio rolled his eyes. I knew he wanted to make me stay by using Diego as bait, but I knew how to get around him.
"You have to go get ready to take him to the park, Daddy," I mocked Antonio. Aliyah laughed at us.
I know how to play your game, sir.
