33. Sinful Book 2
I sat in my car, tired from all the shouting, yelling, puking and emotions that I had to let out, and I needed something to keep me calm, so I called the only man who ever cared about me. The only man who gave an actual fuck about me; my father.
"Hello, my angel," my fathers thick Nigerian accent hit me like a wave of fresh air. I smiled immediately at his voice and the name he called me.
"Hey daddy," I leaned further into my car sit in the park. I didn't quite have it in me to go back to being alone in that house just yet. I didn't feel like crying yet.
"This one you called me today, did somebody die," my father joked, I laughed. It had been only a few seconds but the man made me feel better than I've felt in hours. Why didn't I call him since?
"No daddy, no one died, at least not yet," I added, thinking of how I'd kill Antonio once I find out that Samantha is doing something shady to my son.
"Ah, you this girl, you're here again with this nonsense talk. How are you my dear girl?" My father asked. I looked down at my fingers on the steering wheel, thinking if I should say the words I wanted to say.
"I'm pregnant, daddy," I closed my eyes, ready for whatever insults that would flow from my fathers mouth to my ears.
"Isn't that a good thing? Or is something wrong that you don't sound so happy?" He asked me. My breath got hitched in my throat, and I could feel the tears coming.
"I broke up with Antonio, daddy," I cried, sniffing as I tried to arrange myself. I didn't know why I thought my father would tell me off for getting pregnant. I just thought that the Nigerian would overshadow his love for me and he'd say something that would get me angry, but this was my father we are talking about, the most lovable man in the world.
I guess I called him because I knew he'd be the only person to be happy about my pregnancy apart from Aaliyah of course.
"Do you want me to come up there and kill him or something? You know I can, just say the words," my father sounded angry and offended.
"Leave the killing to me daddy, I'll kill him when the time is right, but for now, I just want you to tell me you miss me," I took in a breath, ready for the sweet words from my father.
"I miss you my darling girl, and I'm sorry that Antonio is not the man I thought he is," my fathers voice was calm and smooth, giving me the amount of family I needed. I smiled, wiping the tears from my face.
"I love you daddy, and thank you for being the best man this world has ever seen. When the little life in me grows any bigger, I'll take a picture so you can meet your grandchild," I smiled at the thought.
"I can't wait. Take care of yourself for me, my angel, I love you too," my father said and hung up. I took a deep breath feeling better already. The man had healing powers I swear.
I checked the time on my phone, it was almost noon, almost lunch time, I sighed, turning on my car to go to my next location; Diego's school.
"Mommy!" Diego ran into my arms at the principal's office, rubbing my stomach.
"Hi baby, big brother here," Diego said and smiled up at me, I smiled down at him.
"Mommy, you're taking me with you, right?" Diego asked, his face changing from the very happy body to a very sad one.
The principal looked up at us, trying to understand what Diego was talking about but I smiled at her awkwardly, taking Diego outside the school with me to where I parked my car.
"Diego baby I need you to be strong for me, okay?" I rubbed his head, but Diego wasn't ready to be strong because he burst out in tears. I watched as the little boy cried and felt my heart break even more. What to do with this little boy?
"Look baby, mommy will come for you okay, I promise, but you have to promise me that you'll be strong for me, hmm?" I asked him. Diego wiped the tears from his eyes and nodded his head.
"Here," I gave him a paper where I wrote down my number and Aaliyah's number. Diego looked at the paper.
"If anything happens, I want you to call me or aunty Aaliyah, okay?" I told him, he nodded.
"I'm here for you my darling and I promise to protect you with everything I have, so be strong for me okay," I hugged the boy.
"But she's a horrible person mommy," Diego's tears were fresh and hot against my chest. I just fucking knew it! Samantha was doing something.
"What did she do?" I asked him but Diego was done talking, he didn't want to say what it was that witch was doing to him; I couldn't blame him though, he must be scared and can't even run to his father because his father had his head far up his own ass to care about anyone else.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of her when I come. I just want you to be a very good boy for me, okay?" I asked him and he nodded. I kissed Diego all over his face before taking him back into his school for lunch. I watched as Diego held the paper tight in his arms and all I could feel was rage.
I ran out of the school back to my car and pulled out my phone to call Aaliyah to explain everything to her. I needed to fix up a plan that would have her locked up in prison forever for touching my child.
Samantha must've gotten away with being horrible before, but it ends.
