34. Sinful Book 2
Time passed by last night, and though I was awake through most of it, I was able to get some sleep for a few hours, I didn't mind though since I didn't have to turn in for work as Dan and Melissa had everything covered.
I strolled lazily around the house, noting what had to be cleaned and what not. I had been in the house for two days and three nights and I had been too weak to clean, but seeing as I didn't have anything to do with myself, I decided to clean.
I was pleased with the results. The apartment smelled like me, and for some reason it felt like I didn't spend any time away from the apartment, like I had been in it all the while when I knew I was staying at Antonio's house. I guess my apartment had always been home to me in a way my father was home for me.
I took a warm bath to calm my nerves and muscles, while rubbing my stomach. I hadn't had anymore symptoms apart from the morning sickness and the occasional crankiness and dizziness. My stomach hadn't even taken shape, but yet I felt like the child was already grown and kicking in me. It made me smile, thinking about how in a few months I'd be feeling my child.
After my bath, I decided to go for a short drive to further clear my mind. It was a drive that led me to Noah's cafe. Noah and I weren't like we were before but for some reason I felt like I could go to him for comfort. Luckily, with Noah, I didn't have to talk or say anything, he could tell when I wasn't in the best mood and he'd help talk me out of it, and maybe I needed that. I didn't want to talk about my problems anymore, but I wanted some comfort. I sighed, turned off my car and went into the cafe.
"Hey VIP," Noah smiled at me when he saw my wandering eyes searching for him.
"Hey," I smiled at him. Noah looked better than the last time I saw him. He looked happy and bright, I wish I had that, I wished I was happy and bright.
"Come, have a seat," Noah pulled out a chair for me, pointing at it. I smiled at his silliness and sat down, Noah sat with me.
"What do you need, coffee or advice, or both?" He asked, his right eyebrow raised in question. I smiled.
"Both?" I smiled.
"Okay, I'll bring coffee first then," he got up to probably go get me the coffee but I stopped him.
"I'll have hot choco instead, have someone else bring it?" I didn't want to sit alone, I had enough time to myself and I didn't want to be alone when I came out to at least talk to someone.
"I'll be back in a flash; my employees are busy you see," he smiled. I pressed my lips and let him go.
In less than two minutes Noah came back with the hot choco I asked for with a soft smile playing on his lips.
"So, tell me, what's the problem this time?" Noah asked, leaning into the table so we were close to each other. I smiled instead of replying, taking a sip out of the mug. I smiled at the chocolatey goodness going down my throat.
"I just want you to tell me I've got this, and I'll be fine," I looked up at him. Noah's face changed from the playful look he had to a concerned one.
"Okay now you have to tell me what's wrong," Noah pressed. I looked down at my drink to take another sip, but the café's door pushed open and a lady stepped in. She looked very familiar, in fact too familiar.
"Baby!" She squealed. She looked around the café for a while, and when her eyes settled on us, she walked towards us. I looked at Noah, he had a smile on his face. Did he know her? Baby?
"Hey baby?" She came closer and I got it. She's Diego's teacher, the one that took an unusual liking to Diego because of Antonio.
"You're Diego's mom," The teacher smiled at me, leaving Noah confused.
"And you're Diego's teacher," I forced a smile. The woman was very beautiful, that much was certain, and her skin looked marvelous. She definitely knew how to take care of her body.
"And you guys know each other?" Noah asked, an amused smile on his lips as he held the teacher by her waist. Oh, his girlfriend? The teacher who looks slightly taller than I am smiled at me nodding her head.
"How do you guys know each other?" She looked from Noah to me. Noah smiled, spanking her butt a little. Did he know that she was the way she was? Going after her children's parents? I wanted to say something to Noah, but he looked happy, too happy, and didn't want to spoil that for him, not after he feels everything is happening right for him. I didn't want him to feel like he'd always lose women to Antonio, so I shut my mouth and mind. I don't know the type of relationship they had so I had no say, but as long as she was making him happy, then I guess I don't mind. I shook my head at my horrible thought.
"Let's say we have a little history," Noah laughed, I laughed after him, nodding my head.
"Woah! How does it feel being married to that beautiful man?" The teacher asked, finding her seat on Noah's lap.
"I- uh we're not married," I looked down at my cup with a forced smile. There was silence from the both of them.
"Oh, you guys are so hot together. I thought he was a single dad the first time I saw him come to the school," She kept talking.
"Well, you know how things are," I smiled at her. There was a crack in my voice, telling me if I talk any more, I'd spill my guts all over the table, so I pressed my lips together.
"You met Antonio?" Noah laughed. I looked up at him in shock. I guess he didn't mind that his girlfriend was admiring other men, and not just other men, Antonio.
"You know him?" She asked Noah and he nodded. Noah went further to tell her about how he used to work for the man, and how cranky the man is. I laughed at that.
"Sorry about Olivia, she gets a little carried away about beautiful people," Noah apologized. So I guess he had an idea of what his girlfriend does.
"Oh then wait till you meet Aaliyah," I relaxed, feeling a bit comfortable around Olivia.
