Said yes to his demand
Alana fixed her eyes on Ricardo. He was hesitating. She wanted to know why he did it and saw his blank expression. She guessed he was due to an impulse or something.
“Mrs. Romero, are you perhaps expecting a certain answer from me?” Ricardo asked, narrowing his eyes shrewdly, he didn't move but kept his questionable gaze on Alana. She seemed stunned by his reply, but Alana wanted to know.
“You didn't answer the question… I'm sure there has to be a reason for you, to break the rule you made,” Alana replied with a mischievous smirk and slowly held the edge of the bed hard enough to push herself up. Until she was on her feet. Ricardo stared at her for a while, then cleared his throat.
“It's not a big deal…you are married to me…and if I decided to let everyone know…then why should I explain,” he whispered, leaning down to her, compared to him. Ricardo was a little taller, just seeing how he was towering over her. Alana bit her lower lip awkwardly and tried to move, but she had no way to go since Ricardo was blocking her way.
“I see now…well, you shouldn't have said anything…”
“If you know you are allergic to peanuts, why did you eat that,” Ricardo asked with arched brows, he didn't understand how She could be so reckless. She nearly died, all because of a silly mistake.
“I didn't realize,” she muttered and lowered her gaze. Ricardo saw how her expression morphed into an innocent one. He didn't yell at her, did he?
“Where are you going?” Ricardo asked when she left the bed and walked right past him. Alana walked around him and picked up two pillows.
“Sir, I'm feeling fine now… You can have your bed back,” she said with a faint smile and gestured to his bed with her eyes. Ricardo followed her gaze and frowned.
“I didn't ask for it,” he said coldly, but Alana was already limping towards the couch, glanced over her shoulder and smiled.
“You have your bed back, I'll take the couch,” she simply said and started arranging the pillows. She noticed how he has had sleepless nights for the past few days she occupied his bed. He wasn't used to it.
Ricardo didn't answer, but scanned the bed and then glanced at Alana. He would rather not think much. After some time, he went to take a shower and when he came back. He found Alana fast asleep.
“How nice,” he muttered with a scoff, seeing how she was lying halfway on the couch. The sheets had fallen to the carpet, and she was shivering from the cold. The window was open, and the AC was in.
“Did…you love your wife, sir,” Ricardo heard Alana mumble in her sleep and came to a halt. He froze in place and his heart raced.
He learned to see if she was sleeping and yes. She was talking in her sleep.
Ricardo decided to let her have the bed. He picked her up from the couch effortlessly and carried her to the bed. With ease, he placed her on the bed, but to his surprise, she had fisted his shirt tightly. He tried to move, but he couldn't.
“Mm,” Alana mumbled as she shifted suddenly and ended up dragging Ricardo down on the bed. He was sitting halfway and Alana was on top of him, snuggling on his chest.
Glancing down, Ricardo wondered why she thought he had a wife, yes he had been married before, but that was a long time ago. It turned out he was trapped and couldn't move with Alana treating him like a bed.
The night was a little lonely. Ricardo couldn't fall asleep, but when he did. He woke up late.
___
“Sir, madam left early in the morning," Mrs. Marks I formed Ricardo and handed him a mug of coffee. Ricardo's brows creased a little, Dennis on the other side was waiting for his reply.
“You can go,” Ricardo said and sat down, Mrs. Marks nodded and left right away. Ricardo was lost in thoughts as he stared at the various documents Dennis delivered to him.
“I don't get it,” Ricardo said, glancing up at Dennis. He woke up in the morning and didn't find his wife.
“Everything is here sir… Andre will be at the office in three hours with the merchandise," Dennis informed him with a smile, and Ricardo was even more confused.
“He didn't ask to double the payment?” Ricardo asked, feeling suspicious about everything. He didn't think Andre and his uncle would strike a deal with Rocco and then change at the last minute.
“I guess Rocco failed to pay… sir, that man is cunning… I'm certain he was just trying to irritate you,” Dennis said with conviction, Ricardo stared at him for a while and decided to call Marcus. He knew what was happening.
Meanwhile he wanted to know where Alana was, Dennis said she didn't go to the office.

Alana was trying, certainly, to avoid the reporters flashing their cameras and running around causing havoc. She gripped her purse tightly and lowered her head to hide from them.
Various security men kept blocking the reporters from swarming the place. However, Alana knew how busy the fashion world was. Every scandal would attract reporters and paparazzi. She hated this the most.
But she had no choice, to save Ricardo's reputation, she decided to agree to Rocco's demand.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I understand all of you are curious to know what's going on with S-designs… But I can assure you it's something fun,” Rocco said, answering the reporter's questions. Alana swallowed hard and hoped none of the reporters captured her or anything.
“Sir, you've been leaving us in the dark…when is the new collection coming out…and about your secret weapon…can you tell us who the person is,” the reporter fired him with more questions and Alana saw how Rocco was smiling? She knew this was a trap by Rocco, he said they would only have a private meeting but how did the reporters crowd the restaurant?
“In due time… I'll reveal everything in due time,” Rocco answered with a grin and glanced at Alana, who was busy hiding.
Once Rocco and Alana were guided inside away from the nosy reporters, Alana was furious.
“You didn't say they'd be reporters everywhere," Alana lashed out, but Rocco grinned and picked up a glass of water.
“Sweetheart, you have to get used to this…how do you expect to get famous as a designer… I'm here to make sure you are number one,” Rocco said with a smile, but Alana didn't want this. She didn't tell Ricardo anything, but she was certain he got what he wanted.
