Wife climbing trees
Alana had woken up early after her alarm clock went on just as she managed to get some shut eyes
To be honest, she didn't get any sleep. She kept tossing and turning until it was morning. Only when she closed her eyes to get some sleep did she hear her buzzing alarm which startled her
“Oh gosh, I only have thirty minutes to get ready,” she jumped out of bed and rushed to the bathroom. She didn't even manage to arrange what she was going to wear.
Getting in the shower room, Alana didn't even mind bathing in cold water. She was getting late for her first day hence had to be quick
After minutes of showering, she was finally done. Alana quickly got ready, she didn't have to wear too much makeup but just blow-dried her hair. Straightened it and was good to go
She grabbed her files and purse and rushed out of the room when she met Mrs. Marks on the way
“Ah, good morning madam…breakfast is ready…what…” the lady said adjusting her specs
“Well I can't eat…maybe later,” I said as I walked towards the stairs. The lady was following me
“But… are you going out… I mean…sir is,” she stammered the words out when I stopped to look at her.
“Mrs. Marks… I'm afraid I can't stay, today is my first day of work… can you kindly tell your boss,” I said knowing it was not a good idea for a bride to be moving up and down just a day after getting married
The lady nodded with a smile and I left there? I already had everything, all I had to do was board a cab, and I was good to go
When Alana got outside, she came to a stop when she found four SUV cars parked by the entrance of the mansion and several men in black suits wearing sunglasses standing to the sides in a straight line. Alana scanned herself and was happy was well-dressed
She decided to wear a black skirt reaching low to her knees. A designer tuck-in shirt with an opening on her chest area and a black coat to finish the outfit. She even went in black heels. Her long brown hair fell to her waist in waves
She even wore some nice-smelling perfume for the occasion
“What's going on?” She mumbled, trying not to get any attention to her side. She was spotted talking to one of the men when he saw her. He nodded and walked up to her
“Good morning madam, are you heading out?” He asked with a low bow and Alana nodded with a faint smile
“Yes,”
“Then you can wait for sir…he's about to head to the office,” Dennis replied with a smile showing her the cars and escort, Alana shook her head in denial.
“No, it's a different way, I'll manage,” Alana said and walked away. She was running late. If she went with Ricardo, who knew how long he was going to take? She didn't even reach far when she heard the cars moving. It was a long way to the gate. Alana gripped her purse tightly and walked as fast as her legs could carry her
Soon she managed to reach the gate and luckily. The app she looked up on the internet for boarding cars was useful. She already requested a cab, and shortly after a while cab pulled up
“Where to?”, the French man asked her, Alana didn't know the place very much hence handed the driver the address. He stared at it for a while and nodded and started driving.

The city was nice, Alana spent the rest of the drive going through the files she was going to submit. She didn't know if she had to start work right away or do other procedures. For one thing, she was nervous. Being hired as a secretary was important and required her to give her best and present herself well to her new boss. She just hoped he wasn't those type of old men who made their employee's lives a nightmare
She wished for a kind-hearted boss “tell me, how far?” she asked when the drive was taking longer than expected
“Five minutes, it's just around the corner,” the man said pointing at the next road. Alana nodded and got back to looking at the files when she looked up and saw an elderly lady with a small boy who looked to be three years old
“Stop the car,” she told the driver right away, and he did. “Drive back,” she told him, the driver did as told, although he didn't look so happy. Alana's eyes were glued to the roadside. It wasn't a roadside, but there was a building there. They left the main road a long time ago and were driving on a small gravel road leading to the company.
“What's going on…why is he crying,” Alana asked, seeing how the small boy was crying hysterically, and the helpless old lady was failing to keep him quiet. The boy was pointing at a tree
“His kite flew up that tree… I'm too old to get it and no one around is willing to help us…my grandson loves that kite,” the nice-looking lady said sounding helpless, Alana felt sorry seeing how the lady was even struggling to stand straight
“Little boy, don't cry…do you want that kite?”, Alana said softly and walked up to the boy, he looked at her with tears in his eyes and nodded
“Great, if I get it for you… will you behave like a good boy?” She added with a smile when she managed to get the boy's attention
“Y-yes,” the boy said in a small voice which had Alana pinching his cheeks quietly and going on her knees
“Then be a good boy and don't cry…okay,” she said assuredly while wiping the boy's tears with her hands. The little boy nodded cutely and Alana smiled
“I'll climb the tree and get it down,” she said, although she wasn't sure how she was going to climb such a tree. She hadn't done this in years. But for the boy's happiness, she decided to do it. Hence, kicking off her shoes, she stripped off her coat and carefully handed it to the boy to hold. She just wished she would still get time. If not, then it wasn't her fault.
While Alana was struggling to climb the slippery tree, four cars had stopped by the roadside just near where she was. In one of the cars sat Ricardo while Dennis took the wheel. The car window had winded down and Ricardo's sharp eyes were fixed on his so-called wife inappropriately climbing a tree in a public
What sort of nonsense was it, did she leave the house so early in the morning to climb trees? Did she even know who she was married to? The reputation he held in Paris. Ricardo's hand clenched tightly around the files he was holding that even Denis saw his boss's anger
“Sir…s-should I help out… It seems the boy and granny need some help,” Dennis suggested when he saw how his new boss was climbing a tree. Ricardo didn't answer but kept his eyes on the woman, she had fully climbed the tree. What was she getting and why? He was about to ask Dennis to drive when she threw down something which had the small boy jumping with happiness. Ricardo narrowed his eyes, seeing a kite. Did she climb a tree just to get a useless kite?
Feeling irritated, he ordered Dennis to drive. He was already running out of time. He had countless things to do. Not only that, but he just hoped his new secretary was already in his office, or she was fired.
