Weak to that
The table was set and I was eating alone on the balcony. The towel is wrapped around me, but I'm still wearing my wet clothes. I'm not saying anything since the cold is making me nervous. It's not the weather that's causing this chilliness. It feels like it's deep within my gut, and it renders me numb.
”What more do you need ma’am?” the woman a while ago asked.
I looked at the food on the table and pursed my lips. “W-where’s Aciel?” I asked.
”Oh, he’s taking a dip on the other side of the deck ma’am.” she smiled.
My head tilted slightly in agreement, and a small smile crossed my lips. In other words, "I'll just wait for him."
The woman then left. I had the time to space out and contemplate things. Instead of being afraid about what just happened to me. I was more afraid of Aciel's reaction a while ago. He’s hella mad. That’s why I feel like it’s too rude for me to eat here alone while he’s out there, somewhere.
Okay. Perhaps I don't have anything to be scared of in him. The thing is, I don't want people to be like that. When people's tempers flare, when they reveal that darker aspect of themselves, my chest tightens. That thought chills my bones.
Some time passed while I waited. No matter how appetizing the spread may be, I just don't think I can stomach another bite. Still no sign of him, I waited what must have been another thirty minutes.
Thankfully, the lady walked by once again. The moment I thought of it, I asked her. "Is he still in the water?"
”Oh, I’m sorry ma’am I forgot to tell you. He wants me to tell you to go ahead first. He’ll be eating later.”
In a slump, my shoulders. Alright. Maybe he really did detest me that much. I ate what was on the table, but I couldn't eat it all. Given how full my head is, I only ate a few bites.
After we finished eating, I returned to the cabin where we had left our belongings. There was a bathrobe in the cabin, but I didn't pack any. After a brief period of self-hygiene, I put on that one article of clothing.
A powerful presence pervaded the entire cabin the moment I sat down on the soft mattress. My focus was entirely on the man who had just entered the room. From the look in his eyes, I can tell he was surprised to see me, too. The man is dripping wet. Water is pelting him like bullets from his hair, down to his chest and packs.
Immediately, towel in hand, I got to my feet. After locking gazes, he swiftly took it away. As if he didn't want to interact with me in any way. I can't explain why, but his casual lack of warmth really disturbed me.
When he entered the house, I didn't hesitate to welcome him. When there was not much room between us anymore, I met you halfway and halted. He just looked at me coldly. As my hands shook, I put on a brave face and pretended it didn't bother me. I gently patted the towel against his hair to dry it. I focused on what I was doing despite his intense scrutiny.
”You skipped breakfast.” I uttered. I gulped because I thought it’s a dumb idea to start the conversation. I glanced at him and his expression is still the same.
”Are you still mad at me?” I asked. “I’m sorry.” I uttered under my breath.
Even though I noticed his adams shift as his eyes blinked slowly, I refrained from making any comment.
”I said I’m sorry.” I repeated. Now I’m wiping the tiny bits of water on his shoulders and on his chest.
The man grabbed my wrist and made sure I didn't continue. To show him that I was serious, I puckered my lips and met his gaze. My hopes were dashed when he failed to make any sort of statement.
I pouted. “I’m sorry.” I uttered softly.
He touched my nape while his other arms snaked on my waist.
”Damn it, baby. You're giving me that eye cause you know I’m weak to that.” he grunted.
After hearing those words, my heart began to pound wildly. In an instant, my feelings shifted, and I couldn't find myself. In that moment, I was at a loss for words. It was confusing me how to get even with him. Unconsciously, I followed his gaze to my mouth as he stared at mine.
The moment was right then. There was nothing going through my head. I snuggled up to him, pressing my lips against his and my arms around his neck. When I tried to kiss him, I heard a small groan, but he fought me off. I opened my mouth wide enough for his tongue to come in. His tongue expertly explored every crevice of my mouth, and I did the same to keep up. We were gently kissing until I bit his lips and he quickly pulled away.
He groaned deeply as he sat on the bed, then he slammed his entire body onto it. He has his hands relaxed at his sides and is closing his eyes. He seems to be exerting himself to the point of panting.
It caused my cheeks to flush. That’s intentional.
”Hey, you need to change.” I said, acting casually. Like I didn’t just insist on that kiss.
The man was silent. In fact, I was just standing at the foot of the bed, towel in hand. He returned to the seat and reached for my hand. He swept me away with his powerful energy. I had positioned myself between the gaps in his legs. As he gripped me around the waist, I finished drying his hair.
While he buried his face in my stomach, I desperately attempted to suppress the smile that was on my lips. Now, he acts like a child with an attitude problem.
”I’m so scared, Alia.” he said with a muffled voice.
I slowed down so I could hear him better.
”I got so scared. I thought I'd lost you.” he then looked up into my face. “Please don’t do that again.” he buried his face again on my stomach.
I don’t know what to say. Him? Scared? Wasn’t I supposed to be the one who’s scared here?
”You scared me more, Aciel.” I whispered, not expecting him to hear that.
He looked up again. He dragged me and made him sit on his one lap. I shrieked a bit because I got startled.
”I’m sorry.” he whispered in my ears, slightly kissing it.
I think my face is about to explode. He’s really giving me this effect. Something that no one had made me feel.
