Sex Slave
After finding the table set aside for us at the reception, I sat there in silence. Aciel seems a little preoccupied in saying hello to everyone who comes to our table. Seeing the bride and groom enjoying themselves at their reception made me feel a little better about spending time alone and not attending.
Even though their companions were talking, I felt Aciel's hands on my palm above the table. As though shocked, my gaze shifted to him immediately. After he released my hand from under the table, I reclaimed it.
”Hmm?” Biting my lip I asked, because I thought he had something to say.
When he glanced at me, his eyes seemed a little blurry. He gave a small nod and a grin of acknowledgement. As I went to take my hand back, he interlaced his fingers with mine. I just lowered my head slightly and tried to keep my attention on the event so he wouldn't know I was moved.
There are still people coming over to our table, but now that I'm right there with him, he's not wasting any time talking to them.
”Mr. Evans,” a guy who was all smiles greeted him. The guy's eye went to me so I felt awkward.
”The busy bachelor is here.” he smirked while shaking Aciel’s hand.
”It’s Hugh's, Jeff.” he simply said.
”Yeah. Of course. Childhood friend. For sure, if you get married he’ll do the same. But that’s… if you have a girlfriend.” the man chuckled.
Aciel's eyebrows went up as if he had heard something stupid, and he scratched the bridge of his nose.
”Speaking of 'girlfriend', who’s this gorgeous lady right here?”
My thoughts jerked. Though I'd rather not be here, I had to shake his hand after he introduced himself.
Whereas before it would have been "Are you two..."
To avoid saying anything, I bit my lip.
Aciel chimed in with a resounding yes. "I just want to be alone with my girl for a while."
The man's mouth hung open in shock. Before he grinned again, he flicked his eyelids many times. I didn't change a bit. I'm sure he only said it to get out of here.
”Alright, Mr. Evans. I assume this is okay to be published right? This is a big scoop!”
I saw Aciel’s slightly annoyed face. ”No, Jeff.”
The man was taken back. He pursed his lips and left after that while his eyes were still lingering on us.
”I’m sorry for that.”
”No, it’s okay.”
His response to my question was to grasp my hand. I redirected my attention to the happening. In the corner of my eye, I caught him in motion. He squeezed himself into the teeny-tiny gap between us. He is currently resting his arms on the back of my seat and grasping mine with the other.
Alright. That’s…
”Won’t entertain anyone now. I’m sorry.” he whispered. ]
After hearing what he said, all I can do is take deep breaths. as a silent drum beat in my chest. I don't know how he did it, but the way his thumb brushed over my skin was so calming that I almost nodded off.
It makes me happy to see our guests having so much fun. When the bride started crying, I became silent. When people start to have fun, I have to gulp. That's how I felt all night long, yet the man next to me...
”Can you just focus on them.” I said.
”Hmm-hmm.”
I’m not sure what’s the meaning of that sound. Our face was inches away. He fixed the strands of the hair that’s falling into my half tied hair.
”Boring.” he uttered. I chuckled because of it.
”It’s fun.” I stated. I laughed after because he just really looked so bored with his tired eyes.
”I have my own definition of fun, Alia.”
I wrinkled my brow in concentration. A grin spread across his face. The thought of him made me shake my head in disbelief.
”Yeah. I bet your own definition sucks.” I smirked.
”Hey, aren’t you judging me too much?”
”Why are you defensive?” I bit my lip to hide my playful smile.
”I am not defensive. I just have this feeling that you’re judging me inside that beautiful head.” he pressed his lips into my temple.
”I am not. I am just stating my opinion.” I laughed lightly.
”Doesn’t look like it.” he scowled at me.
I pouted and removed the tiny lashes that fell into his cheekbones. We ended up staring at each other.
”Let’s go,”
”Huh?”
”I’ll show you something.” he held my wrist.
”W-were leaving?”
I followed in in his wake uncertainly at best. As I stared at him, bewildered, I realized something was wrong. In my observation, I saw that he was able to attract the attention of a few. My natural reticence was heightened when we left the site.
Near the venue's exit, I spotted Hugh's mom. When we arrived, Aciel stopped and stared at her and his grandmother.
Aciel glanced at me once. Then removed his hands on me for seconds to embrace both of them. Then back to me again.
”I probably didn’t introduce you formally. Alia, this is Janett and Nana Ester. Hugh’s,” he simply said. I smiled at them.
”We’ve met yesterday.” I uttered.
”This is Alia. My girlfriend.”
My eyes widened at his statement. Both of them seem to not mind. They just smiled at me, but all I can give is a raw and awkward smile.
”You’re leaving, already? Both of you?”
”Yes. We’ll be leaving early tomorrow. She needs to rest.”
”Alright. Please visit us if you have the time.” The woman ‘Janett’ said.
”Sure.” He hugged her again and kissed Nana on the side of her head. Aciel grabbed my hand and we left.
”Why did you say that?” I ranted when we walked outside the shore.
”What?”
His strides were so big that I was almost running.
”That! You’re lying to them.”
”What do you want me to say to them then?” he turned to me.
I stopped. Yeah. What else?
”Uhm…” I thought. “Friends!”
He rolled his eyes and continued walking.
”Hey!” I ranted again.
”Who the hell would believe that?” I heard him whispering more words but that’s the most audible.
”Of course they would believe that! It’s normal to have friends! Wait-”
I retrieve my hand from his hold cause he’s walking fast and I can’t cope up. I held my wrist.
”You actually think they would believe that? I don’t even hang out with women. The only circumstances you’d find me with them is in the bed’s premises, Alia.”
My breath hitched hearing him say those words with authority. Just like what he showed me the very first weeks I’m with him. It’s like I’m more used to it.
”Then why don’t you just say that I’m your sex slave?” I blurted it all out without thinking.
With a sigh, he revealed a more serious countenance. The moon is bright enough to allow me to make out his features in the night. He kept clenching his jaw in an angry manner. It's so unusual that when he touches my face, he uses such light hands and caution. As if I were brittle porcelain waiting to shatter at any moment.
”When did I ever touch you without your consent, Alia?”
My lips separated where his thumb had touched them. Through that opening, my mildly labored breathing entered the room. Yeah. Looking back on the times we've shared a passionate kiss, I realized that I'm always the one to make the first move. My face began to warm up.
”I would be lying more if I said that.”
My heart thumped in chaos, I got so afraid that even with the loud hissing of the waves he’ll still be able to hear the loud beating.
”Because that’s not what it is.” his voice cracked. "This is not about it.”
