###Chapter 29 I Want To Leave
###Chapter 29 I Want To Leave
"I may be idle for a while. Not look for a job and just focus on taking care of the baby." Once the baby is born, there will be a period in his life when I can't take care of it. I might as well wait until the baby is older.
"I know!" She thought about it and said, "After so many years of hard work with Jordan, we should have a good rest for some time. Fortunately, I have saved some money these years, which is enough for both of us to splurge!"
I laughed. "Don't worry, even if I divorce Jordan, I still have savings." The villa was left by my grandfather. Even if Jordan gave me the divorce, I was sure that I won't buy it. As for the shares of the company, I haven't figured out how to deal with them yet
After a few jokes, I hung up the phone, leaned my hands against the floor-to-ceiling window, and quietly looked at the scenery.
I really have to think about how to live the rest of my life by myself.
Inexplicably aware of some cold in the air, I rubbed my arms and turned back to find a coat. I suddenly saw Jordan standing behind me coldly.
I was so surprised that I was in a cold sweat, "Jordan. Didn't you go to the office?" I didn't know how long he has been standing here, but I wondered if he heard what I said to Maisie just now?
His black eyes fell on me, cold and gloomy, "Where are you going?"
I froze at this question, and it seemed that he really heard something, "I said where are you going?" I pretended to be confused and have no idea why he was being insistent with me at that time.
Seeing him approaching me with a chill, I was a little flustered. I didn't know how to solve it for a moment, so I grabbed my belly and twisted my eyebrow. "Oh, my stomach hurts!"
With that, he squatted down.
He took a step, then came up to me, pulled me up, frowned, "Let's go to the hospital!"
I didn't say anything.
Is this like throwing stones at yourself?
"No, we're not going."
I refused too quickly, and his black eyes narrowed slightly and looked at me with more and more profound meaning. "Ivelle, you don't seem to want to go to the hospital?"
"No, I don't want to." At this point, I couldn't help but feel a little sad on my face. I looked at him with red eyes and said, "I'm afraid of lying unconscious on the operating table!"
He was obviously stiff, and for a long time, he jerked me out of the bedroom.
I thought he was going to take me to the hospital. I tugged at his sleeve with red eyes, "Jordan, I really don't want to go to the hospital!"
And it was not really a stomachache, just hunger probably.
"Go down and get something to eat." He glanced at me, his eyes cold and somewhat helpless.
For a moment, I was unexpectedly shocked at his demeanor. Yesterday he rescued me and today he compromised. He did not seem to be so cold anymore.
Man is a very greedy animal. Once he tastes something sweet, he wants more and more of it, until he finally wants to take it for himself.
He at me on the table and he went into the kitchen for a while and came out with a bowl in his hand.
I originally thought it was porridge. I didn't think it would be brown sugar eggs. For a moment, I looked at him with a complicated look. He looked at me indifferently, and then he said in a low voice, "I will come to see you later. You don't have to go to the company for the time being. Although the project of Dean has not been completed, you still have to bear the loss of your own baby. You don't have to go to the company for the time being. Just have a good rest!"
With that, he put on his coat, took the car keys, and went out.
I was in a daze for a moment after he left. When did he begin to change his attitude towards me? When did he know that I was pregnant?
Looking at the brown sugar eggs in the bowl, I didn't move for a long time.
When Brad came, I was still distracted by what happened.
He frowned, looked at me, and said, "Now you don't have to eat these deliberately. You don't have to avoid food. You can eat whatever you want because the fetus is not so delicate anymore."
When I heard his voice, I looked back and saw him standing at the dinner table with a medicine box and looking at me.
I hurriedly got up and said, "There you are!"
He was stupefied, but without saying much, he handed me the medicine in the medicine box and said, "Take this medicine three times a day for 21 days. Don't drink next time. Alcohol will cause fetal growth retardation or deformity. Also, you may have to go to the hospital to keep a file. Start the antenatal examination."
I nodded, took the medicine from his hand, and said, "Thank you!"
Originally, when the matter was over, he was going to leave, but after a pause, he looked at me and said, "In your present situation, I'm afraid you won't be able to leave at 1:30. Maybe you can confess with caution that you have the intention to keep the child, and naturally, he will take care of other things!"
I understand what he meant. The other questions were about Nicole.
I don't know much about Nicole. I never ask about the matter between Jordan and Nicole, but I can't help looking at Brad, "Jordan probably loves Nicole very much, right"
Brad sat down on the sofa in the aisle, looked at me, and said, "It has nothing to do with love. If you want to be careful with him, confess it to him. He has his own way of dealing with it."
In what way?
I didn't ask him. Everyone has their own way of thinking. I didn't know what way of dealing with it is, but I know that this child is mine after all.
Jordan didn't have much love for me in the first place. If my grandfather was still alive, I could rely on my grandfather to guard Jordan for a few years. But without my grandfather, I had no confidence that I could hold him for how much longer.
It was not a wise choice to take risks with her child.
After a moment of silence, I said, "I'd like to trouble you about the baby. Other matter, I have my own plan. Thank you, Dr. Brad."
Maybe I should have listened to what he said, but I didn't want to. Brad frowned slightly and said no more.
He sighed and said, "I have something to do this afternoon. Please remember to take your medicine. I'll go first."
When I sent him away, I didn't eat the bowl of brown sugar eggs cooked by Jordan. I felt a little uncomfortable in my stomach. I may have been pregnant too early and did not react to pregnancy and vomiting, but I really didn't want to eat.
When I went back to my bedroom and continued to lie down for a while, my cell phone rang. It was a strange number. I picked it up.
The other half of the phone rang, "It's me, Nicole!"
I frowned. "What do you want with me?"
"Let's talk! I sent the address to your phone."
With that, without giving me a chance to refute, she hung up the phone.
I was a little confused about what Nicole was planning to do with me at that time.
However, it was obvious that it basically had something to do with Jordan.
But why did she say that she wanted to see me? Looking at the address sent by Nicole, I leisurely sent the screenshot to Jordan, accompanied by a sentence, "Nicole asked me to talk. I was afraid I would get excited and beat her up again, so I refused."
A moment after the message was sent, Jordan called.
When I got on the phone, I leaned against the balcony of my bedroom and looked at the scenery out of the window. It was quite leisurely and said, "What's the matter, Jordan?"
As soon as I said this, I could clearly detect that the man on the other end of the phone frowning slightly and said, "Where are you?"
"At home!"
"Okay, that's good!" After a pause, he said, "Have a good rest at home!"
I nodded. "I got it."
