###Chapter 302 Mystery Man – Part 14
"You don't know her. She's a friend I met on the plane, but don't worry, I'll take care of myself."
After a moment of silence, he said, "Okay, remember to send me a message when you go out. Text me the address later and I'll pick you up."
I told him to take care and then hung up.
Not long after that, a knock came on the door of the hotel room. It was Felix Steward.
He bared his usual cold face when he saw me open the door. He said, "Ma'am Ivelle, sir Jordan asked me to bring you clothes."
I nodded and took my clothes. "Thank you very much!"
He excused himself politely and left.
Back at the hotel, I changed my clothes.
It wasn't long before Jane called and said that she had arrived downstairs of the hotel.
After I packed up and went downstairs, I was stunned to see a black Bentley parked in front of the hotel.
The window and door were rolled down, and in the driver's seat, the man looked sideways at me with cold cheeks.
He looked both familiar and strange. Would there really be two people in the world who are exactly the same?
"Ivelle!" Jane, sitting in the copilot, tilted her head and greeted me, "Get in the car!"
I was still stunned when said this. I forced myself to go back to my senses and hopped on the car.
"What were you thinking just now? I've been calling you for a long time, but you were too spaced out." She picked up Jane and looked at the man in the driver's seat and said, "He is my fiancé, Aaron Badger. I happened to meet him on my way to you just now, so we came together here. Do you mind?"
I tried to concentrate, but I was still in so much shock from what was happening. I shook my head slightly and uttered, "No. I don't mind at all."
Looking at the man's sad and handsome side profile, my mind rambled on. I wanted so much to ask for a moment, but Jane was looking at me expectantly and we started our ride right away.
Finally, we were in the dining area.
Jane seemed to be in a very good mood. She took Aaron's hand and said, "My Aaron, please order for us. I like what you ordered last time."
Aaron said looked up at me and raised his eyebrows. He said in a faint voice, "What does Miss Ivelle like to eat?"
"Whatever is fine!" I opened my mouth awkwardly and looked at the man in front of me who I thought had disappeared forever. Now he was alive in front of me. I didn't know how to accurately describe what I was feeling.
After eating our meals, Jane kept the conversation going on, but Aaron responded simply and shortly. I was not in the mood to eat, so I didn't eat much.
"Did Miss Ivelle not like it?" The man sitting opposite suddenly asked me. His voice sounded indifferent and alienated.
I raised my eyes and shook my head. I was too overwhelmed to answer honestly. "No, I already ate some food at the hotel, so I'm not hungry right now."
The man scratched his eyebrow and suddenly asked, "Miss Ivelle, why do you seem to be afraid of me?"
I raised my eyes, looked at the two of them, and shook my head, "No, Mr. Badger. Not at all."
"No, I also think that you're afraid of me, Miss Ivelle. It seems that you haven't looked very well since you saw Mr. Badger in the car. What's the matter?" Jane opened her mouth with a look of doubt on her face.
Who wouldn't be afraid? If someone who had been turned to ashes was suddenly standing in front of you.
Suppressing the mood in my heart, I shook my head. "No, I'm just not feeling well. You can eat first. I'll go back first."
With that, I stood up and got ready to leave.
However, Aaron suddenly blocked me from going anywhere. He had such a big figure and his eyes were very dark. He looked gloomily at me and said casually, "Jane, you pay the bill. I'll accompany Miss Ivelle out of the restaurant."
Jane was stupefied as well, but she nodded and went obediently.
I pursed my lips. My face looked very nervous as I staggered straight out of the door. He followed me without saying a word.
Outside the restaurant, I raised my hand to take a taxi, and he stood by, still and silent.
The cell phone in my pocket rang, and I answered the phone. It was Jordan, "Where are you coming back now? I will come to pick you up."
"Not yet. No, I'll go back by myself later. You don't have to come at all!" If ever Jordan saw Aaron, I didn't know what mood and attitude he would have, so I lied for now.
He was silent for a moment on the other end of the phone, his voice was low and introverted. "Okay, I'll wait for you at the hotel!"
After hanging up the phone, I looked at the cars on the side of the road and had only one desire in my heart. I hurried back to the hotel.
"M country is not an easy place to take a taxi. Do you need me to take you home?" The silent man behind me opened his mouth, his voice is indifferent and cold.
"No! Thank you! I'll find a taxi soon."
"Hey, don't be shy." The man sneered, "You can ask anything, Ivelle. This is not your style!"
I answered back, "Mr. Badger, between people, cheating is the most shameful."
"Cheating?" He sneered. "What have I ever lied to you about?"
I stood silently. In a moment, there was a taxi coming. I raised my hand, signaling it to stop, got in, and gave the address of my hotel.
By the time Jane came out, the taxi had gone far away. I saw her frowning at Aaron as if she were complaining about something.
I don't want to know anymore what happened after Aaron's car accident. If each other's lives have already begun to separate, they will have to live their own lives in different directions.
Back when I was still angry at him, he seemed to treat all of us stupid. He also probably always looked down at us, thinking that we were worthless.
When I entered the hotel, I saw Jordan standing in the lobby waiting for me. I glanced at his noticeably strong figure, with his black suit, brightly polished black shoes, and pockets with one hand.
I froze for a moment on my spot. My heart started beating so much. Should talk to him about what happened with Aaron in the restaurant?
Jordan also saw me and did a long-legged stride. When his figure stood right in front of me, I suddenly felt comforted. My anxieties faded all at once.
Before I could even speak, he took me in his arm and held me tightly.
I was shocked for a few seconds. I wrapped my hand around his waist, pressed my cheek against his chest, and smelled the faint scent of grass and a touch of incense in his clothes. While being in his presence, I felt much more secure. I closed my eyes and whispered at him, "My husband!"
He tightened his arms around me, looked at my disgruntled face, and said in a worried manner, "What's the matter?"
I shook my head and said, "It's nothing!"
Many people were going in and out of the hotel, and from time-to-time passersby stared at me hugging him. I didn't care if they judged us. This was what I wanted.
After a while, Jordan pulled me back to the hotel room.
There was a lot of American food on the table inside. I took off my coat and put myself at ease. I couldn't help looking up at him. "You didn't eat?"
He smiled and said, "I wanted to eat together with you when you get back. So I waited for you."
I was surprised. "But you know I ate out."
He graciously dragged me to the table and brought me food in a gentle voice. "Don't you crave American food? I know you've been missing its taste since coming here."
Jane did take me to an American restaurant, but I stared at him, "How do you know I like eating American food?"
The food on the table should not have been delivered long, for it was still hot. Je picked up the burger for me, took a bite, and looked at me delightfully, "You have a bodyguard with you."
I was taken aback after remembering what happened last time. He arranged for a few people to follow me around. I was aware of it, but I forgot it unconsciously.
