###Chapter 506 Try To Fall In Love In Another Way - Part 4
I was a bit shocked by what she just said. I saw her turn away, walked a few steps forward, then looked back at me and said, "By the way, let me tell you a little trick. Mr. William likes to eat candy, but he seldom eats it. You take some candy with you all the time. Sometimes it can help you reduce the number of times you are scolded!"
I was really surprised. William liked candy?
It was actually a bit funny.
How could this man like sweets? Was this a guilty pleasure?
"Oh, and one more thing, Mr. William has to have breakfast in the morning. He has stomach acid and is prone to stomachache, so you have to prepare stomach medicine often!"
Watching Linda walked away, I didn't know how to react. I went back to the office and carried the sorted documents to William.
Seeing that his face was a little livid, I thought he was still angry. I said cautiously, "Boss Preston, I have read these documents. There is no problem. I need you to sign and confirm."
He gave a hum, did not look at me, and continued to look at the papers in his hand. I put the papers on the table properly and could not help noticing that he had been rubbing his stomach all this time.
Thinking of Linda's remarks, I realized that he may not be angry, but actually have a stomachache.
Seeing that he was reading the file carefully, I thought hard about it. I took some candy out of my pocket and put it in front of him. I felt a little sorry as I said, "Boss Preston, I'm sorry about what happened today. I'll go out and buy you some stomach medicine and something to eat. You can treat your stomach with sugar for now."
He stopped his movements and looked up at me. His black eyes were dark and glimmering, his eyebrows were raised, and the corners of his mouth curved. "Did Linda tell you that?"
As soon as I was caught, I looked at the candy on the table and nodded at him repeatedly. "You're right. Linda said that you like candy and that you have stomach troubles, so you must have breakfast. I will remember all these details in the future. What happened today is my negligence. Again, I apologize."
Seeing his serious form, I couldn't help getting a little nervous. I took a slight breath, looked at him very seriously, and tried to stand firmly
Looking at me standing awkwardly, he suddenly laughed and said with some helplessness, "Just don't let this situation happen again in the future. I'm all right. Go back to work and have lunch later."
Finally, I could breathe.
I looked at him with a bad expression on my face, and I was a little worried. "Can you hold up with your stomachache?"
He smiled. "It's not anything new. I'm used to it, and it's almost noon. Don't bother to run to the store anymore."
I nodded and said, "Okay, but please eat some sugar and drink some water."
When I got out of the office, I was still a little worried. I could not let him suffer in pain, so I went to the pantry and poured a glass of hot milk.
Grace happened to call, and I answered and said, "Good morning, have you eaten yet?"
"Not yet, sister. I need your help!" She seemed to be in the kitchen, hearing the sound of pots and pans.
"Okay, you tell me what's going on!"
"Please send me the address of William's company, and I'll come over and bring him lunch later. Does your company require an appointment for me to get in? Or you can come downstairs and help me send it up later!"
"Good!" Coincidentally, I was just thinking about how I will order food for lunch. After thinking about it, I said, "William seems to have a stomach problem, and now he seems to be in terrible pain. When you come, bring some stomach medicine with the food. You are really timely!"
She giggled on the other end of the phone. "Of course. Just wait and I'll be there in half an hour."
I hung up the phone, poured the milk, and saw Linda picking up coffee, a little tired.
I couldn't help asking, "Miss Linda, didn't you sleep well last night?"
She gasped and nodded. "The school is going to start these days. I haven't finished his final homework yet. I supervise him to do his homework every night." This woman really should not have had a baby. "When he was very young, I was fine. When he grew up a little, I became so exhausted." She sighed, looking at my concerned face. "Have you got several more? "
As she said that, she leaned her face close to me and pointed at the lines on her forehead.
I laughed and said, "What grade is your child now?"
"He's going to be in the third grade right now. I can't stop worrying about him!"
"My daughter is going to be in the first grade soon!" I couldn't help but open my mouth, bragging about how Blossom will soon be in the first grade. But with that child's temper, I was afraid I won't have to worry about her anymore
She was a little surprised, stunned for a moment, looked at me and said, "You have a daughter? Are you married?"
I nodded and was surprised to see her reaction. I said casually, "I've been married for almost ten years."
She gave a curious expression, widened her eyes, and said, "Then you and William are?"
I was shocked for a moment, thinking that she must have misunderstood what was happening between us, and said with a smile, "Boss Preston and I have a simple relationship between superiors and subordinates. We have met several times before. It is not what you think!"
She raised her forehead and sighed. "Yes, very few girls can get close to him. He's almost forty, and his father is anxious that he was getting bald."
I really couldn't take being entangled in gossip with him. I poured the milk and left first.
When I reached Williams's office, I knocked on the door and went in. I saw that he was still reading the file. After a pause, I said, "Boss Preston, have a glass of milk first."
The candy on the table was gone, and there were candy wrappers in the trash can, which seemed to mean that they have been eaten.
Who would have thought that such a cold chief executive had a flair for sweets?
When he heard me, he looked up and looked at the cup containing milk on the table. He frowned and said in disgust, "I don't drink milk."
"How can you not drink milk? Your stomach will feel better after drinking milk!"
He shook his head. "No!"
After a pause, he looked up at me. "Didn't Linda tell you I don't like milk?"
I shook my head!
He smiled and motioned to me to take away the milk, and I pursed my lips. "It doesn't matter if you don't drink it at ordinary times, but you have an upset stomach now. Drinking a little is good for your health and relieving the pain, and the milk itself tastes not bad."
Without waiting for him to speak, I just went straight out of the office. Grace happened to be inside the company already.
She called me and said, "I'm downstairs. Come on down. I've met another handsome guy. I think the handsome guy is more interesting than William."
Speechless with her remark, I hung up the phone and went downstairs. I saw her carrying the lunch box, and when she saw me, she trotted and handed it to me
She hurriedly said, "Ivelle, you and William can take this and eat it all. Don't tell him it's from me, or he may not eat. I want to go see the handsome guy. See you later!"
I couldn't understand her. It was agreed that she would deliver the food to Boss Preston. But did she really made him food just for nothing?
When I saw her running to another floor, I could not help but smile. Women like handsome men, as expected. For sure, he will like her back. It was obvious that men liked women who are similar in nature to 18-year-old girls.
When I got back to the office, it was almost lunchtime. After taking a closer look, Grace included a stomach medicine in the package, and the food was also for nourishing the stomach.
"What's that? From your friend?" Linda asked as she passed the door of the office and poked her head in.
