###Chapter 529 Divorce Certificate – Part 8
Ivelle Astley didn't open her mouth but her mind was a little distracted. When Linda saw her reaction and realized that she still had work to do, she didn't say anything more to Ivelle. She got up and went to work.
The Cape Oaks Village Project had been settled and work would begin soon. Because of that, Ivelle might have to go to Cape Oaks Village in the coming days.
After tidying up the office, Grace Cross called and said she had made an appointment for dinner. But Ivelle hadn't answered yet.
A man was standing at the door of her office. It was William Preston. When Ivelle saw that William was looking at her, she immediately thought that there was something wrong. She whispered to Grace on the phone, "Wait for me."
Then, Ivelle walked to the door and asked, "Boss William, are you off duty?"
He nodded and asked, "What's for dinner?"
If William had not reminded her, Ivelle would almost forget. She had to take care of him and make sure he would have three meals a day. But she was slightly confused as she was also asked by Grace to have dinner with her.
Ivelle opened her mouth and replied, "I haven't decided yet. What would you like to eat?"
William lowered his eyes slightly and said, "All right, it's time to get off work. Let's go!"
"Okay, you go down first. I'll just collect my things. I'll be right behind you."
When Ivelle saw that he was gone, she spoke to the phone and said, "Grace!"
On the other end of the line, Grace asked her, "Are you going to refuse my invitation?"
Ivelle scratched her forehead lightly. Although she was a little distressed, her IQ worked for her and she replied, "You silly! I have such a good opportunity for you. Don't you want to win this diamond bachelor?"
"What do you mean?"
"It means that you have a very good opportunity now. I'll send you the address of Mr. William's house. How about you cook for tonight? I'll help you and we'll have dinner together at Mr. William's house?"
As soon as she heard this, she said happily, "Really? Ivelle, you are my lucky star. Wait for me and I'll be right there!"
After hanging up the phone, Ivelle hurried out of the office and found William's car in the parking lot.
He seemed to have lit a cigarette in the car, and it smelled like smoke. Ivelle coughed a few times. She couldn't help but say, "Something's bothering you?"
He started the car and said faintly, "No!"
As William drove without saying a word, Ivelle kept silent as she saw that he seemed to be in a bad mood. She didn't know why exactly.
Half an hour later, when they arrived at the villa, William went directly to his room to do calligraphy. Ivelle turned around in the kitchen. Fortunately, she had all the vegetables she needed so she didn't have to buy them.
But when Grace came, she had a big bag with her. Ivelle scolded her, "I told you, you don't have to buy anything. What are all these?"
Grace blinked her eyes and said, "You would need ingredients for cooking. And I didn't know if you have any. So I just bought them all. By the way, I just saw a familiar person next door."
As she took the food in her hand, Ivelle asked casually, "Who is it?"
Grace replied, "Well, he looked like Jordan's most trusted assistant. And he seems to be moving in!" As Grace moved around the kitchen, it looked as if she was very skillful enough for any task. She motioned for Ivelle to wash the dishes.
Ivelle was stupefied for a moment and was a little confused. She asked in disbelief, "Felix Stewart moved here?"
Grace nodded and she began slicing the ingredients.
Ivelle froze. Although the house price in City An was not as expensive as that in Madrid, it had also risen to 20,000 dollars. She knew that the man was already married and had children. So she wondered why Felix would buy a villa in this area.
Ivelle didn't come here often. She worked in the capital. If this house was bought for investment, then it would just be too much pressure.
But because Ivelle couldn't figure out why she stopped thinking too much about it and followed Grace.
As she thought that Valentine's Day was coming soon, she couldn't help but asked Grace, "What are you going to do during Valentine's Day?"
Grace was stunned for a moment and looked sideways at her. Then Grace asked her, "Have you made up your mind?"
Ivelle nodded and replied, "I made an appointment with Linda and we would have dinner together."
Grace smiled and countered, "I'm sure she'll break her appointment."
"What do you mean?"
"She should also be old enough to find herself a date. During such a good holiday, she should go out with ambiguous people or meet someone. Why don't we let the little sister make an appointment of her own? Don't you have anyone to ask out on Valentine's Day?"
When Ivelle saw how Grace had filleted the fish and sliced it, she couldn't help but lament at Grace's knife skill. She thought about it and asked Grace, "So, you're trying to tell me you won't be with me on Valentine's Day?"
Grace smiled and said, "Don't think too much about it. When can't I ask you out? Am I only allowed to do that on Valentine's Day? On such a good day, of course, I had to do what I have to do!"
When Ivelle would think about it, it seemed that she could only live by herself. She had to go back to the capital a little bit whenever she would think about it.
Once the project was completed, she and Jordan would obtain a divorce certificate. Then, she would have to consider settling down in City A.
The meal was about to get cooked. Grace looked at her and said, "You go wash your hands and call the neighbor next door. After all, from being acquaintances, now you happened to be neighbors. After I have cooked so many dishes today, you can regard it as our welcome greetings to him."
Ivelle almost forgot about it. She washed her hands and got ready to go out. Then she looked at Grace, winked at her, and told her, "William is in the left room on the second floor. Go and get him."
Grace smiled, squinted, and playfully asked, "Will I take it as you giving me a chance?"
Ivelle shrugged and replied, "The benevolent see benevolence, while the wise see wisdom."
William's villa was not empty. The distance between each family was not far. There was even a courtyard in the vestibule, a fish pond, and a swimming pool in the backyard.
There was only a wall between the two houses, and the people opposite to the wall on the balcony could be easily heard.
Ivelle rang the doorbell of the villa next door. After ringing for a while, Felix came to open the door. When he saw Ivelle, he was slightly shocked and asked, "What can I do for you, madam?"
Ivelle was also equally stunned. But she smiled and asked, "Do you know that we are neighbors? Otherwise, why didn't you just ask me why I'm here? Why did you directly asked me what I need?
He was a little embarrassed and avoided the topic by saying, "Come in and sit down!"
Ivelle just laughed and said, "No, thanks. But it's dinnertime already. I know you had just moved in today, and you probably didn't cook. Would you like to eat dinner with us first?"
Felix smiled at her and motioned for her to come in.
Although she thought it was strange, Ivelle still went in. Then she saw the man who was reading on the gray sofa.
It was Jordan. At that moment, it was only Felix who dared to move inside the house.
Felix tried to break the silence, "Ma'am, let me get you a glass of water!" Then he walked towards the pantry.
Meanwhile, Ivelle stood in the living room. She felt a little embarrassed as she remembered Linda's words earlier. She paused and told Jordan, "Thank you for the ointment that you gave me at noon today."
Jordan averted his eyes from the book in his hand, looked at Ivelle, turned a page, and mumbled, "Mm-hmm."
He didn't even say a word.
After a pause, Ivelle continued, "Are you going to live here?"
He muttered, "Mm-hmm." And she realized it still wasn't a word.
Ivelle pursed her lips and continued to say, "You probably haven't eaten yet. I've already cooked food. Why don't you join us?"
He suddenly got up and said, "Good!"
Then he put down the book and went out.
Felix poured out the water and saw him go out. He was stunned. Awkwardly, he handed Ivelle the water cup and said, "Here Ma'am. Drink your water."
But Ivelle shook her head and said, "No. Anyway, why don't you join us for dinner?"
He nodded and smiled as he said, "Thank you for the trouble."
"You're welcome!"
