###Chapter 577 Witnessing That Love Is Mostly Happiness – Part 6
When the topic shifted and turned to go back to the Capital, Ivelle bowed her head slightly. She earnestly thought about it came to affirm solution. "I'll just wait for the project in Cape Oaks Village to be completed."
Speaking of this, she can't help but wonder. People are always ever-changing. Not long ago, she was still figuring out when to get the divorce certificate with him. Now, the two of them were always glued to each other that no one thought the result would be like this.
"What do you think?" He reached out, took her in his arms, sniffed Ivelle's hair, and said. "You smell so good!"
Ivelle leaned herself in his arms and smiled contentedly. Elated to hear his praise. "What do you want for lunch?"
His low laughter was heard in her ear. "Foodie!" It took him a moment before he knew what she meant. "I may go out for a while and ask Felix to bring it to you at noon!"
She was slightly stupefied and nodded. Ivelle couldn't help but overhear from the phone he had just connected. She was very familiar with the phone number. After so many years, Nicole seemed to have no intention of changing her phone number.
'So, is Nicole coming to A City?'
She didn't ask, but there were a few more calls that seemed to be in a hurry. Ivelle looked at it lightly and didn't say much about it.
He took the phone, looked at her, and said. "Remember to have lunch and wait for me to come back for dinner in the evening."
Like a loving wife, she nodded and waved to him as she beckoned him to go.
Ivelle was a little surprised when Linda called. On the phone, she went straight to the point and didn't beat around the bush. "Can I see you?"
She was stupefied for a moment. Confused, she can't help but ask. "What's the matter?"
"Let's just talk later."
Looking at the time, Ivelle said. "I'll be ready in two hours."
"Yes!" She was straightforward and said. "I'll wait for you in South Spain Cafe."
'Coffee Shop?'
After all, it was about Jordan that she'll meet her so she agreed.
After a brief tidying up, Ivelle went out. Grace had a hangover last night. She might have to sleep a little longer this time and just came back from the hospital. She knew Grace badly needed rest more for recuperation.
In the South Spain Cafe.
Ivelle tried to search from the crown and find Linda's position. She saw her near the window and her chosen table's location wasn't bad.
When she saw Ivelle, her side face was calm and compose. She knew that Ivelle was coming, but she didn't look back and saw her holding the teacup in one hand and the bottom of the cup with her other hand.
"Miss Kent, you didn't call me here to let me appreciate your elegance, did you?" Ivelle smiled and sat across from her.
When she heard her voice, Linda turned to Ivelle and glanced over her clothes.
She slightly raised her eyebrows and smiled. "I was in a hurry to go out, so I wore comfortable clothes on weekdays. Miss Kent, you are really a delicate woman. When I see you every day, you seem different."
She looked back, put down her coffee cup, and said slowly. "Men seem to like their first love."
Ivelle was slightly stupefied. When Linda saw the changes in her reaction, she continued. "You are 70 or 80% alike, so it's no wonder that he doesn't seem to let go of you. As for his disregard of me, maybe I don't have any resemblance to you."
'Is she was referring to Nicole?'
The waiter brought Ivelle coffee. She doesn't usually like bitter things. She just raised her hand and stirred it for a while, silently listened to Linda to finish.
Seeing that Ivelle didn't seem to have anything to refute her, she looked at her restlessly. Sarcasm dripped from her tones as she questioned Ivelle. "Don't you wonder why I asked you out all of a sudden?"
Ivelle raised her eyes and looked at Linda faintly. "What do you want me to do?"
She suddenly laughed. "Calm down!"
Unbothered, Ivelle stirred the coffee in her hand and stopped talking.
She said after a moment of silence. "I have always been curious about the marriage between you and Jordan. Why a woman like you with no identity and influential background can accompany Jordan for so many years. Later, when I saw the lost lady of the Biden family, I understood right away. I think Jordan's first love when he was young was none other than Miss Blakely. But in the end, when the two didn't come together, you became a substitute."
She paused and mockingly added. "In fact, if the woman Jordan married, at last, was Nicole, my heart was at least balanced. Although she was not as good as me in appearance and figure, she had a pair of good parents and a powerful Biden family to back her up. With that, I can say that I'll be satisfied with this. But you? I don't think so. After all, I feel trepidation in my heart. You are not as good as me. You don't even have relatives. What are you?! How come you married Jordan if you weren't as worthy as the other woman who loves him? Do you think you are worthy for him?"
Ivelle curled my lips and remained calm. She tried to forget what happened after so many years. Although the Biden family knew the whole story, in order to keep their reputation untarnished, they did not explain to the public that Nicole wasn't the daughter of the Biden Family.
It was probably because of the debt that Nicole left. Although Nicole left the Biden Family, she was still sheltered by the reputation of the Biden to some extent.
Linda mentioned these, but she was afraid that Linda checked only external information.
When Ivelle looked at her, she didn't intend to argue. Instead, she casually heaved a sigh and replied faintly. "A ten-dollars lighter can also light ten thousand of dollar of cigarette. Miss Kent, only the people in a marriage without love needs to consider whether it is worthy or not, but a marriage without love is not needed. Jordan and I are at least blessed by my parents, and outsiders are not qualified to judge."
She sneered. "Really?" Putting her coffee spoon aside, Linda leaned against the chair and looked at Ivelle with some disdain.
"Are you sure that Jordan loves you? Is there's love between you and Jordan?"
Ivelle couldn't help frowning. "I don't think I need to argue with you about such a thing."
She smiled leisurely and countered. "Right, you really don't have to argue with this kind of thing. After all Ivelle, you are not sure whether he loves you in the end, right? Most of the time, he can pretend to like you. With that, you foolishly stayed with him and dared to be arrogant just because you believe that he loves you!"
As Ivelle remained facepalmed, she couldn't help feeling that she was a little bored. "Miss Kent, did you bring your state of studying AI into life? It doesn't matter to you whether Jordan loves me or not. You don't have the right to meddle with our issues. You are not involved in our marriage but now you want to remind me that he doesn't love me? How ridiculous."
She sank. "Nothing, I just feel sorry for you!"
Ivelle nodded, looked down at her phone, and calculated that she should go back. Grace should get up soon at this point.
She stood up and said flatly. "Thank you for your pity, Miss Kent. As a reminder, you actually don't have to come here to find my unhappiness. Because in the end, you'll only get hurt. In fact, you know very well that Jordan doesn't take you seriously. That's why you came to me to vent your resentment on me. Don't worry, I understand your vexation. You want to pass on your negative energy to me. In fact, you don't have to. You actually make yourself look more pitiful and desperate!"
"I would like to remind you that I know the relationship between Nicole and Jordan better than you do. If you have another qualm, I don't think you need to emphasize me all the time. Since Jordan married me, it means that I am worth it, and I am worthy of him. You don't need to promote your beauty and talent just to drag me down. Think about it carefully. Maybe your beauty and talent are added points in business, but not in the relationship between men and women, you are nothing but a hallow ornament."
"You bitch, take it back!"
