###Chapter 605 Please Love Me Sincerely And Passionately - Part 15
Ivelle Astley was stupefied for a moment. When she looked up at him, she was a little confused. She paused for a moment and tried to say, "You..."
Aaron Badger smiled a little faintly although he looked a little lonely. Then he told her, "So, can you promise me not to treat me with that cold and unfamiliar look, Ivelle? To tell you honestly, there are very few people I want to protect in this world. But no matter how bad I am, I am at least sincere to you. Although I have no responsibility to protect you personally, can you treat me like a brother? Just please don't treat me like a stranger and ignore my existence."
For some reason, as Ivelle listened to his words, she felt a little sad. She paused for a while, nodded then looked at him and said, "Aaron, I'm sorry. I owe you my life. I promise to do whatever you want, but you know I cannot be with you. I have to be with Jordan Astley for the rest of my life. I know that he loves me and he has been protecting me like this. I am already blessed because of that. I want to thank you for your affection, but I am not worth it. You have someone you need to take care of more. You should take care of Jane. She is a good girl. In fact, I can't believe that you married her. Now, you have to be responsible for her and your children for the rest of your life."
He nodded, smiled bitterly but he seemed relieved. Then he replied, "I know that I have lost what I want the most, so I might as well fulfill the needs of others. Maybe this is the best path to take."
People should not live too persistently. Otherwise, they may end up hurting themselves.
After walking for a long time and chatting for a long time, when they got back to the base, Aaron looked at Ivelle and said, "Now that I'm done, can I invite you to dinner tonight? Don't think too much about it. It's just that I'm not familiar with this place. I've only been here for a day or two. I rarely meet acquaintances and I always have dinner alone. I think it would be less lonely to finally eat with someone I know."
Ivelle was stunned to hear this. But when she looked at his little, innocent eyes that were staring at her, she couldn't help but be moved with compassion. So, she nodded and said, "Okay."
The truth was, Ivelle was very hesitant to agree. She knew that Jordan would be returning to Cape Oaks. But when she saw how Aaron smiled when she agreed to have dinner with him, she also knew there was no other way into this.
The moment she agreed, there is no reason for her to turn back on her word. She could only sigh at that moment.
The afternoon that day was good. It seemed that there was not much work to do.
In the evening, as soon as Ivelle was about to finish packing, Aaron leaned against the door, looked at her with a smile on his face, and said, "It seems that you are very busy with your work every day!"
Ivelle nodded as she packed her things. But she couldn't keep herself from looking at her phone because she had not received any message from Jordan since that morning. And she had no idea whether he was very busy the whole day.
After leaving the base, Aaron drove the car which was parked at the gate of the base. When he got into the car, he seemed to be in a good mood. He looked at Ivelle and said, "You might have been here for a couple of times. What delicious food would you recommend?"
But Ivelle shook her head and replied, "It's all the same. I seldom go out." And upon seeing that it was getting dark, the more restless she got as she had not received any calls or messages from Jordan yet.
She couldn't help but take her cell phone out and send him a message on Viber. Her message was: Have you eaten yet?
The moment her message was sent, she looked out of the window somewhat distracted.
Because she couldn't find anything delicious, Aaron finally decided to eat in the hotel. And as soon as Ivelle sat down, her phone vibrated.
There was a Viber notification on the phone. But when she looked at the caller ID, she frowned when she saw that it was Kian Hastings who was calling. She still picked it up and greeted, "Hello, Boss Kian!"
Kian spoke in a tone that seemed anxious and asked, "Where are you?"
Ivelle replied, "What's wrong? I'm at a restaurant in Cape Oaks Hotel."
"Go downstairs and be careful, please. His hand is hurt today."
Ivelle was stupefied for a moment and was a little confused. She wondered if it was she who Kian was referring to when he mentioned someone's hand that got hurt.
When she was about to ask him again, the call had already ended. Ivelle was speechless. It was really unexpected.
After hanging up the phone, she got up and looked at Aaron who had already ordered, and said, "Aaron, I'm sorry. I have something to do at the moment. I have to go now."
And with that, she picked up her bag and left because she was worried about Jordan. Although he had not called her throughout the day, Ivelle still went out of the restaurant while feeling sorry for Aaron.
Meanwhile, downstairs of the hotel...
In the black Bentley, Ivelle saw Felix Stewart helped Jordan out of the car. She also saw the white gauze on Jordan's arm. So, she came forward and asked, "What happened? How did you get hurt?"
Felix was stupefied for a moment then looked at Ivelle and explained, "The minor scratches caused by the car accident had already been daubed with medicine."
Ivelle frowned but she finally reached out to help Jordan. Because it was only his hand that was injured, his walking was not affected.
As soon as Jordan and Ivelle walked into the hotel, Aaron who was inside the restaurant followed them. When he saw that Jordan was injured, he frowned slightly, paused, looked at Ivelle, and said, "Let's just eat dinner next time."
Then he turned and walked away.
Jordan looked sideways at Ivelle and his dark eyes fell on her. Then he asked her, "Were you having dinner with him just now?"
Ivelle nodded and explained, "But as soon as I ordered, Kian called to tell me that you were hurt."
Jordan's eyes were still dark and a little cold when he asked, "So, am I interrupting your meal?"
His words hinted of anger that was about to explode. Ivelle frowned as she was a little confused. Then she said, "You're thinking too much. We were just having a meal."
But Jordan looked at her as if he was a little angry and replied, "How do you know I'm thinking too much?"
Ivelle pressed the elevator button as she thought that if the conversation went on like that, she and Jordan would probably end up quarreling. So she immediately changed the topic and said, "You haven't had dinner yet. What do you want to eat later? Let's eat in the hotel and have the waiter deliver our dinner to the room."
Soon, the elevator door opened and she helped Jordan get into the elevator. Jordan replied faintly, "Whatever." Then he stopped talking.
Ivelle couldn't help but think that it was probably because of Aaron's that he was in a bad mood. Because there were bodyguards following Ivelle all the time, she could only guess that Jordan had heard something. After all, she had been with Aaron for a long time. And Ivelle knew how possessive Jordan could be. So, it was normal for him to be angry.
But Ivelle did not feel angry at this thought. Because Jordan was also injured at that moment, it probably added to the cause of his bad mood. So Ivelle simply helped him back to his room and said in a gentle tone, "Did the doctor say we have to change the gauze in your arm? Is there any other prescribed medicine that we need to buy?"
Jordan shook his head and faintly said, "No."
When Ivelle saw that he really didn't bring any other medicine with him, it seemed that his injury was not very serious. After thinking about it for a while, Ivelle called the hotel restaurant, ordered food, and asked them to send it to her room.
Upon seeing that Jordan was about to go to the bathroom, she asked, "Do you want to take a bath?" Ivelle was worried that he couldn't take a bath by himself because of his hand injury.
But his dark eyes fell on Ivelle. He frowned at her and said, "Release your hand."
She was stupefied and a little embarrassed at the same time. She automatically got quiet. But because she was worried about Jordan's injury and thought that it may not be very convenient for him, she was not able to stop herself from asking, "Can you do it yourself?"
At that point, Jordan raised his eyebrows and looked at Ivelle. His thin lips slightly opened and he spoke, "Why don't you come and help me?"
Then Ivelle froze when she heard this. Although she initially thought that Jordan would say yes, she really didn't expect that he would say so. She blushed and hesitated a little.
When Jordan saw her hesitation, he asked "What's the matter?" And his low voice seemed to be waiting for Ivelle.
Ivelle wrestled about this in her mind. Jordan is her husband. It was only natural that they would be living together for so many years. And for those countless years that would come, both she and Jordan would inevitably get sick, so they would have to take care of each other. And with that, they would have to do some trivial things for each other. No matter how embarrassed she was feeling at the moment, she is Jordan's wife and he is her husband. Not to mention that he is now a patient, she inevitably had to take care of him even if it meant she had to bathe him herself.
