###Chapter 606 Please Love Me Sincerely And Passionately - Part 16
Ivelle Astley tried to calm herself and put her mind at peace. With a sigh of relief, she went towards Jordan Astley and went inside the bathroom with him.
When she saw him standing, she bowed her head slightly and bit her lips. Then she reached out and slid off his belt, unbuttoned his pants, and pulled his zipper down.
But suddenly, Jordan's hand stopped her. In his low, dull voice, Jordan told her, "All right, I'll do it myself!"
Ivelle breathed a sigh of relief and got out of the bathroom.
As Ivelle waited for Jordan to finish taking a bath, the cellphone he put on the bed rang. When she looked down at the caller ID, she saw that it was Nicole Blakeley. Ivelle thought that Nicole was probably calling to ask about Jordan's injury. But she did not dare answer the call herself.
Meanwhile, the phone kept ringing and Jordan still had not come out from the bathroom after a long time. But he probably heard the phone's ringing sound so he ordered Ivelle, "Answer it!"
Ivelle pursed her lips and thought for a moment, but Nicole's call was already connected. Before she could open her mouth, she heard a cry of anxiety from the other end of the line. Nicole spoke, "Brother, are you feeling better? I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to hurt you. I tried so hard to contain my temper, and I didn't want you to get hurt. I'd rather hurt myself than let you get hurt. I promise this is the last time. I'll listen to you in the future. I won't mess around again."
Upon hearing that, Ivelle realized that Jordan got injured because of Nicole.
As Ivelle held the phone, she didn't speak for a long time. But the person on the other end of the line cried so much that she couldn't breathe. In a choked voice, Nicole said, "Brother, are you still angry with me? I know I was wrong. I won't do it again in the future."
Ivelle replied in a voice that was not friendly and somewhat angry, "Don't even think about the future. Stay away from him."
Nicole probably heard Ivelle's voice because it seemed she was stunned for a moment and did not speak. Then after a while, her voice calmed down, the crying stopped, and she said, "Ivelle, who told you to answer brother Jordan's phone? How can you be so ill-bred to answer other people's phone calls casually?"
But Ivelle sneered and sarcastically replied, "What? Your faked cries stopped when you found out I'm not your dear brother Jordan? What happened to your sweet, coquettish voice? Your pretentious skills had not improved for several years. I'm not that impressed. I answered the phone at Jordan's will. Unfortunately for you, he is in the bathroom at this time and couldn't hear your pretentious cry for an apology."
Nicole was probably angry or jealous at the moment so she snorted coldly to make Ivelle aware of her displeasure. Then she told her, "Ivelle, you don't have to be so proud. Even if I can't marry Jordan and become his wife, I have become someone important in his life. You can see for yourself that he couldn't avoid me and would surely have to protect me if ever something happens today. Just like what happened at the moment, he protected me subconsciously and preferred to get hurt rather than let me get hurt. Yes, he may really love you and really want to protect you, but I have become someone important to him and an indelible person in his heart. In fact, I would be in his life for ten or twenty years, and in the years to come. I will appear in your lives from time to time, and I will make sure that you will always be estranged because of me!"
At that moment, Ivelle was not angry. She thought that what Nicole had said was funny so she told her briskly, "Nicole, aren't you tired?"
Nicole froze for a moment before saying, "As long as it makes you uncomfortable, I won't feel tired. I would never feel tired."
Nicole nodded and sourly said, "Oh? Well, I hope you can hold on for the rest of your life."
And with that, she hung up the phone and put it aside. She was ready to take a bath and rest.
Suddenly, she was hugged from behind and was stunned for a moment. When she smelled the scent of a new bath, she immediately knew it was Jordan. She asked him, "Why didn't you make a sound when you walk? You scared me for a while there."
He smiled and replied, "I've always been a light walker. Was this the first time you knew about it?"
And Ivelle knew it was not.
As she turned to look at him, she saw that his arm was bandaged. She then told him, "I'll get some analgesic balm to rub on your injured arm later. Avoid taking a bath tonight and don't let your arm get wet. It will get better soon."
Jordan looked at her intently and raised the corners of his mouth. He curtly said, "Okay."
As Ivelle saw him obediently sitting and waiting for her to bring the balm she would use on him, she also saw how quietly and intently he was looking at her. She began to wonder what he was thinking at the moment.
Ivelle opened her mouth and asked him, "What are you thinking right now when you look at me like that?"
He smiled and replied, "I thought that you would be angry when you answered the phone just now. But looking at your expression and body language right now, I'm honestly a little surprised."
Ivelle wiped his hands clean and put the towel aside in the basin. Then she looked up at him and said, "Let's put it this way, what kind of project are you most worried about in your investment project?"
He was silent for a moment and replied, "That the project is not 100% understood and assured."
Ivelle nodded and explained, "Well, I used to worry about Nicole because I don't know if you were only feeling purely responsible for her or if you are confused and was having romantic feelings for her. That was why I always feel uneasy when you are together because I am not sure about these things. So, I'm always worried about gains and losses. But now it is different. I now know that you and Nicole can't be in a romantic relationship, not just because of me, but also because Kian Hastings likes Nicole. You can see that Nicole also knows about this in her heart. If one day you would consider being together, even if you would not consider my feelings, I know that you will certainly consider Kian's feelings."
He squinted slightly at Ivelle and his voice was deep and introverted when he told her, "Does my love for you really make you so unconfident that you think I won't consider your feelings?"
Ivelle opened her mouth without the slightest prohibition and said, "That's my worst guess."
Jordan raised his eyebrows at that and asked, "Well then, what's your best guess?"
"You care about me and will refuse all ambiguity and women for me."
He smiled and approached her before saying, "Ivelle, you can squander my love at will. You don't have to be careful."
Ivelle pushed him away, got up, looked at the wound on his arm, and said, "Jordan, it was because of your inexplicable demeanor towards Nicole that I questioned my worth as your wife. I have been in this position twice, both because of the same woman. To be honest, I am not very happy!"
With that, she brought the basin of water into the bathroom and took a bath herself.
When she came out, she was surprised to see a big bouquet of roses inside the room. Then she saw Jordan that was sitting on the bed and was looking at her. He smiled and told her, "I know that if I only say that I'm sorry, you will not be happy. But if I give you a bouquet of flowers, maybe you'll feel a little better."
Ivelle shrugged. But she knew that what he said was true. Women tend to feel much better whenever they see flowers.
Ivelle just nonchalantly replied, "I actually feel sorry for your assistant, Felix. I can't think of anyone else except Felix who could buy flowers at this point and send them in such a short time."
He smiled, moved away from his side, and patted, "Come here."
Because it was getting late, Ivelle was already ready to have a rest.
She rubbed the skincare products on her face and then laid on the bed. When she took a look at Jordan and saw that he had no intention of going to sleep yet, she asked him, "Do you want to talk to me?"
He nodded and said solemnly, "I'm not sure about your attitude towards Aaron. By comparison, I'm not sure!"
Upon hearing that, she was stupefied for about a second but understood what he meant. Ivelle looked at him and said with certainty, "Apart from being co-workers and friends, I have nothing else to do with him."
