###Chapter 609 Someone Who Wants It - Part 3
Jordan Astley just raised his eyebrows at Ivelle Astley and said, "My hand feels inconvenient to type at the moment."
His words to Ivelle were so faint that she was a little confused for a moment. But she knew she had to follow what he was saying, otherwise, she wouldn't be able to type it completely.
Meanwhile, Nicole Blakeley just stood aside with her delicate face a little pale.
Soon, after a few days of busy work with the project in Cape Oaks, there was finally a day to rest.
Upon realizing that the Mid-autumn Festival was coming soon when she returned to the city, Ivelle thought about how to ask for leave with William Preston and go back to the capital.
Blossom had been calling Ivelle at night these days. She was telling Ivelle that she missed her every day and couldn't bear not to her.
On Saturday afternoon, Jordan asked William to talk about the future of the Cape Oaks project. Since she had nothing to do, Ivelle had planned to pack up her things in the villa and then go back.
But she didn't expect that Nicole would call her. Nicole asked her, "Ivelle, do you have a minute?"
But because Ivelle knew that it would be not good for her to come to Nicole, she refused her directly, "No, I don't. I'm sorry, Miss Nicole. If you have anything to say, just say it directly on the phone."
Nicole smiled and replied, "It's not a big deal, but I just heard that you almost froze to death a while ago. I just wanted to sympathize with you."
Ivelle frowned when she heard this. She couldn't figure out how Nicole found out about it.
"Thank you for your concern, Miss Nicole."
But Nicole insisted to say, "It's a pity that Miss Ivelle doesn't have time. I also wanted to talk to you about that day. But since you're busy, just forget about it."
Ivelle was stunned for a moment. The truth was, Jordan was looking into what happened that day. But Ivelle didn't ask about it. In fact, she almost forgot about it after a few days. Now that Nicole was suddenly talking to her about it, she couldn't help herself from thinking if Nicole had something to do with it.
Because she didn't have much patience, Ivelle asked directly, "What do you mean, Nicole?"
"It's not that interesting, really. It's just that I don't want Jordan to be so tired of you, so I secretly found someone to check it out. I accidentally found something. But since you're not interested, you can just forget about it."
Ivelle opened her mouth to reply and said, "Just send me the address of our meeting place." Then she got up, went to the bedroom, and found a coat to put on.
Nicole indifferently answered, "Okay." And with that, she ended the call.
The address was not difficult to find. She was about to meet Nicole in a coffee shop. When Ivelle arrived, she saw that Nicole had already ordered a cup of coffee. She sat gracefully enjoying the scenery outside the window.
When Nicole noticed that Ivelle was coming, she did not even look at her. Instead, she squinted slightly, then took an elegant sip of coffee and looked at Ivelle. She finally told her, "This coffee is still bitter and astringent, but the taste changes with the addition of sugar."
Ivelle pursed her lips and didn't answer. She didn't like bitter things, may it be food or life.
She then asked for a glass of juice. When she saw that Nicole did not speak, she got a little impatient and said, "Miss Nicole, did you just make me come here to have coffee with you?"
Nicole just smiled and replied, "Of course not!"
After drinking about half a cup of coffee, Nicole looked up at Ivelle and her eyes fell on Ivelle's neck. She smiled and told Ivelle, "Brother Jordan took two pieces that day, and I kept on thinking about who he gave the other one to. I didn't expect it to be you!"
Ivelle curled her lips, raised her hand, and touched the necklace around her neck. She remembered that Jordan gave it to her at dinner that day.
She didn't reply to Nicole. She didn't have to think about it. She knew that she didn't have to be affected by whatever Nicole was going to say later.
When Nicole saw that Ivelle just kept silent, she smiled and said, "Will you not ask me how I found out about the necklace around your neck?"
Ivelle replied, "Well, I'm not interested." Then she took a light sip of the juice. She found it to be a little sweet and it didn't feel like it was squeezed out of fresh fruit.
Nicole just shrugged but she didn't respond negatively to Ivelle's attitude. She leaned on her chair and said, "I was going to ask you to eat crabs, but I couldn't eat much that day. So, I gave that up. By the way, did the crabs I brought to you the other day taste good?"
Ivelle just drank the juice that she ordered. When she looked up at Nicole, she saw that she was looking at her with a smile and her eyes looked at her with heavy provocation.
It seemed that Jordan didn't come back that day because he had dinner with her all the time.
As she suppressed her emotions, Ivelle asked Nicole, "So, are you here to show off with me?"
Nicole smiled and replied sarcastically, "Of course not. But I have always remembered that I like to eat crabs since I was a child. So the night I came to City A, he took me directly to eat crabs. I'm truly sorry that none of us thought something would happen to you that night. But it's a good thing you're okay."
Ivelle just smiled at the way that Nicole sounded pretentious. She smiled at Nicole before saying, "It has nothing to do with you. But I also want to thank you for that accident. Otherwise, I wouldn't know that your cautious brother used to love me so much."
The smile at the corner of Nicole's mouth froze. Then she relaxed for a moment and said, "I'm a little curious. Who would you offend that much that it would result in an attempted murder? That person must have spent so much money in order for you to be brought at the morgue."
Ivelle shrugged her shoulders and said with some relief, "I wonder about that, too. But Miss Nicole, have you found anything?"
Nicole raised her eyebrow. She was obviously upset that she did not gain anything from this conversation with Ivelle. But she still said, "I have not found much. Maybe brother Jordan was going in the wrong direction in his investigation. After he was allowed to take you out of the elevator, I thought that maybe it was not the same person who took you into the morgue. That person was not necessarily a man."
As Ivelle looked at her, she couldn't help herself from frowning. She then asked Nicole, "I wonder, where did Miss Nicole get that information from?"
Nicole said coldly, "It doesn't matter where it came from. What matters is that you shouldn't let brother Jordan have an accident for you again."
Ivelle suddenly became serious and asked, "What do you know?"
When she saw that Nicole didn't seem to be as relaxed as before, Ivelle approached her and said, "Nicole, if you really care about the wellness of your brother, you would tell me everything."
Because Nicole had initiated for her to come and disturbed her today, and because it seemed that Ivelle could not benefit from this conversation, it made her unhappy.
Nicole disdainfully said, "Ivelle, you are really selfish to let brother Jordan risk his life for you again and again. Maybe you don't love him at all, do you? Otherwise, you wouldn't have left him twice. Maybe you weren't able to find a man who was more willing to spend money for you than he did. That was why you still came back to him. Don't you feel ashamed of your actions?"
Ivelle just gave a tut. She was a little upset when Nicole said that she couldn't find a man who was willing to spend money for her.
She looked impolitely at Nicole and told her, "Risking his life for me again and again? Nicole, do you know why Jordan still chose to be with me in the end even though you were the better option than I am?"
After pausing to take a breath, Ivelle continued to say, "Because you are so disgusting! Are you sure you didn't let something happen to him even once? What happened at the car accident? What's on your mind? Do you want to destroy him because you can't get him? Besides, are you saying he spends his money on me? I always thought you still had some dignity in you, but it seemed that you have never had any dignity at all. You haven't worked or started a business all these years, and yet you can buy whatever you want every day. All of them are even the top brands in the world. Now tell me, whose money is this? Is it your own? Did you buy all the real estate and cars in your name? Which of these things were not given to you by Jordan? By relying on your brother's death, you appallingly used the money he earned from staying up late and overtime to instigate Erin to kill her own child and make them nearly separated. Don't you think you are already biting hard at the hand that feeds you? If your brother had a spirit in heaven, do you think he wouldn't be ashamed of having a sister like you? Nicole, if you still have some dignity in you, you will not haunt him so brazenly now. I was just looking pitifully at you and was tolerating Jordan's charity towards you. You acted so good that you got the sympathy of everyone in the Astley family. But even if you are really Jordan's own sister, I'm afraid you should start being self-reliant. After all these years of being reliant on them, it's not too much to say that you're a parasite!"
