###Chapter 616 Who Wants It But Not – Part 10
Instead, Ivelle looked at the lights that were on in William Preston's house next door. After thinking about it, she called Grace Cross. She got through and said, "Hey, have you eaten yet?"
She looked next door and said, "Not yet. Are you at William's house?"
She said, "Are you home?"
Ivelle nodded as if Grace could see her did that and replied, "Yep!"
When she heard the sound outside, Grace called her in the yard. She went out of the hall and saw Grace looking at her in her thick pajamas in the yard next door.
"How are you doing? Is everything all right?"
Ivelle nodded, "It's okay. Anyway, I'm lucky to be alive!" She probably did not know about Cape Oaks Village.
She laid down on the railing and said feebly, "I haven't seen you for days. I have been so tired lately and been lying down all day. I'm so exhausted!"
She looked at Grace and was stunned for a moment. She asked, "Is it a good thing?"
Grace was taken aback. She looked at Ivelle and said, "How do you know?"
She shrugged and said, "Because we feel sorry for each other!"
With a long sigh, she said, "Fate is bitter. I don't know where William had gone. He hasn't come back all day. I don't want to do anything now. I just want to vent my anger on him!"
Ivelle smiled. Women seemed to be like this these days. A little irritated.
Seeing her smiling, Grace looked at the villa and saw that there was no one inside so she could not help saying, "Even Jordan didn't come back either."
She nodded. "He may be busy lately!"
Speaking of which, Ivelle would like to make a call to Jordan. No one had been connected to her since the phone was dialed, and so she hung up for a long time.
The yard was illuminated by car lights. Grace looked at her and said with an ambiguous smile, "Is it your Jordan Astley coming back?"
Ivelle shrugged her shoulders and looked back. She saw that the car had driven directly into William's house. She did not have to think about it to know that it was William's car.
Grace was stupefied and said happily, "The punching bag of our family is back! I'll go first." Her words fell out of her mouth and left her there alone.
Ivelle curled her lips and went back inside the villa. Seeing that the food on the table seemed to be a little cold, she thought about it and called Jordan again. Fortunately, she was connected this time. So she adjusted her tone and said, "Jordan, where are you? Are you going home tonight? I cooked at home. Will you come back to eat with me?"
That was the first time Ivelle cooked at home. She was thinking about waiting for him to come back and have a good chat with him. The days between them were quite noisy and they gave each other a step-down. With that, they slowly got on with the day.
The other end of the phone was silent for a moment. To be honest, she felt a little nervous. Ivelle was worried that he would mind Aaron's business and would not give her a chance to explain.
"Miss Weld, it's Nicole. Brother Jordan is taking a bath. You'd better eat dinner by yourself. He may not be back tonight." Nicole's voice, like a sharp knife, crushed her expectation and trampled it underfoot.
This situation had not happened before, but that was before. Ivelle was prepared and she was ready that Jordan would not love her because it was Nicole all this time.
But she did not this time. In recent years, she was actually quite confident. Even though she was occasionally jealous and felt that he could not let go of Nicole, Ivelle actually knew in her heart that he was happy with Nicole and that he would not have other people's feelings except feeling obliged and responsible but this time, he seemed to break the confidence she had built up over the years and let the trust that she had written countless times to be torn apart and sprinkled on the ground.
It seemed that because she did not hear Ivelle's response, Nicole demonstrated and said, "Miss Weld, if you particularly wanted to carefully talk about him going home, I would tell him after he finishes that he should be back later, but don't wait too late. After all, the food might be cold now. It's not delicious anymore."
Ivelle stopped looking for embarrassment so she hung up the phone, and then looked at the food on the table. She could not help feeling ironic!
Love? Trust? Bullshit, no!
When she returned to the bedroom, Ivelle held her breath and her mind was full of Nicole's sarcastic disdain. Ridiculously speaking, she thought she did not care at all but she did not expect that when she really met it, she was still so distressed that she could not sleep all night.
When she went back to bed, there was nothing to make her calm and sober her mind but the more she thought about it, the more she felt angry and the more pain she felt, but it was also true. Ivelle knew that after what he had done that night to her, the beauty and warmth she once had all vanished in an instant. All that was left was the picture of him hurting her right now.
She was tossing and turning around the bed but how could she fall asleep? Her lower abdomen slowly began to hurt, and she even had some convulsions. Probably because of washing the vegetables with cold water.
Maybe it was too early or maybe she was not very sleepy, anyway. She had been lying in the bed for a long time but she still could not fall asleep, so she did not force herself to sleep anymore.
She got up directly and went to the study to finish reading the previous book she read entitled "We Three".
There was a sound of the car engine downstairs and the headlights lit up most of the yard. Her hand holding the book tightened slightly. Did Jordan come back so soon?
She did not mind it and continued to read. But she could not read anymore for a long time, so she put down the book to get up and went downstairs.
Ivelle did not see anyone in the living room and so she looked at the kitchen. There at the table, was a man, who was as always in a black suit. He had his back straight while sitting on the table, looking particularly elegant.
The cold food on the table was still on display which was untouched earlier but he sat at the table and ate the food being served gracefully.
As Ivelle watched him, the anger and pain she felt in her heart vanished shallowly but she was still uncomfortable and all her emotions were mixed together.
It had been two hours since Nicole and Ivelle conversed, and everything that needed to be done had been done.
"The food is already cold and you are luxurious. You'd better not eat it." Ivelle opened her mouth and stood coldly. She was alienated outside the kitchen.
Jordan looked back and was slightly stupefied when he saw her standing there and then a little more inexplicable emotion was added to his face. "Did I wake you?"
He sounded gentle and caring toward her but at this time, she only found him to be funny.
She teased, knowing that it was too far-fetched. She went to the table and said indifferently, "No, this dish is cold so don't eat it!" Then, no matter whether he had moved the chopsticks or not, she poured all the dishes into the dustbin with an expressionless face.
His movement was smooth and without the slightest drag.
"Ivelle!" He looked at her, obviously puzzled by her behavior.
She pursed her lips and said indifferently, "Mr. Astley should have had enough to eat outside. There is no need to feel bad for himself for eating these cold dishes." She said with an indifferent tone evident in her voice.
He frowned as if his vaguely suppressed anger began to boil. "Do you have to be so weird?"
As soon as Ivelle was stunned, she could not help laughing. She looked at him with terrible calmness and nodded, "Well, I've always been so weird. Did you know that I was like this on the first day?"
