###Chapter 7 The Funeral Of Grandpa Astley

It was an hour's drive from the villa to the Astley family's old house. That time, she was feeling drowsy.

The child in Nicole's belly, the way Jordan looked at her as he left, made her out of breath.

Ivelle's heart was so heavy that as soon as the car was parked in front of Astley's old house, there was a burst of nausea in her stomach. She rushed out of the car and laid on the edge of the flower bed. She retched for a long time, but she couldn't spit anything out.

She didn't have to look to know who it was. Father Astley had two sons. Bryan Astley, the eldest son, died in a car accident in his early years. He left his only son, Jordan. The other was the second son, Hector Astley.

The one who was standing outside the old house was the person who ridiculed Ivelle. It was Aunt Laura Sanders, the wife of Jordan's uncle, who had a lot of resentment for her. Ivelle has been used to it all these years.

She tried to suppress the pain in her stomach. She looked at Aunt Laura and said politely and gently, "Hello, Auntie!"

Aunt Laura always disliked her. Maybe because she was born poor but she was greatly appreciated by the old man. Aunt Laura was jealous or maybe the old man attached great importance to Jordan and gave the whole Astley family assets to Jordan. She felt unwilling, so she took it all out on Ivelle.

Aunt Laura gave her a cold look. When she saw that there was no one else in the car, Aunt Laura directly frowned and said, "What? Wouldn't the young master of the Astley family come to father's funeral?"

There were so many people that day. Jordan's absence was really against the rules. She laughed and said perfunctorily, "Jordan has something urgent to do. He won't be able to make it for a while and it may be a little later until he comes."

Incense and tributes were placed in front of the hall.

A lot of people came one after another. Father Astley was famous, and most of the people who came were people of good status. Uncle Hector and Aunt Laura greeted the guests outside and she would be the one to greet them at the end of the funeral hall.

"Miss Astley," Marcela said while she was holding a sandalwood box.

"What's the matter, Mrs. Marcela?" Although the Astley family was a large one, because there were not many heirs, the population was not complicated. Father Astley usually liked to be quiet, so only Mrs. Marcela was left to take care of his daily life.

Marcela put the sandalwood box in her hand and said with pity, "This is what the Don left for you when he was still alive. you keep it well."

After a pause, she added, "Don knows that with his departure, Mr. Astley will force you to divorce. If you don't want to leave, give this box to your husband. If you will read this, you will have some scruples and will not divorce you easily."

Ivelle looked down at the sandalwood box in her hand, the square box was secretly locked. As she looked at Mrs. Marcela, she wondered, "Where's the key?"

"Don has given the key to Mr. Astley." Mrs. Marcela opened her mouth, looked at her, and said, "You have pined away a lot recently. Take good care of your health. The Don always hoped that you and Mr. Astley would have a big fat boy. Don't break the incense of the Astley family as soon as the old man leaves. "

After the ceremony, Grandpa was taken to the graveyard for burial. It was already afternoon when she got to the graveyard but Jordan never showed up.
