###Chapter 74 The Stubbornness Of Jordan Astley
###Chapter 74 The Stubbornness Of Jordan Astley
Maisie Rogers picked out the crib, looked at Ivelle, and said, "It's all right for both men and women. He can use these things before he is three years old. If he really doesn't like it, we'll buy other things when he is born."
There seemed to be nothing wrong with that.
They bought in bits and pieces. In her pregnancy, she would start to get fat and be puffy, so she had bought all the skin care things.
Moving things into the car, Ivelle couldn't help laughing, "Maisie, your godmother is more attentive than my real mother."
She smiled and suddenly hugged her with some red eyes. "Ivelle, leave Jordan! I can take care of you, too."
She didn't know why she suddenly froze at this remark, so she patted her on the shoulder and said, "Why are you so emotional all of a sudden? Sooner or later, I'll leave Jordan, but Maisie, I want to go fairly, not secretly."
She nodded and her voice was a little hoarse. "It's all right, I'll wait for you. I've found a suitable place in Greenville. The house price in Greenville is low. I calculated our money and we can buy a cottage. At that time, both of us, plus the child, can live."
This girl seemed to have changed a little. Ivelle didn't know where she had changed for a moment. She always felt that she seemed to be hiding something and was a little sad.
With a slight sigh, Ivelle smiled, "Well, it's not that bad yet. We still have a long way to go."
It was getting late so they went straight back to Victory apartment, where the baby's supplies were basically stored as it was more convenient.
Ivelle was going inside the Victory apartment, but it was not long before the phone rang.
"Ivelle, your phone!" Maisie squatted in the crib where the bag was installed in the guest room and yelled at her when she heard the phone.
When Ivelle wiped her hands on the fruit she bought on the washing road, she saw that the caller ID was Jordan Astley.
She frowned slightly and glanced at the time, but it was still minutes before nine o'clock.
"Hello, Master Jordan!" When she opened her mouth, she didn't mean to be estranged. She just felt that it should be official business for him to call her. Since it was business, she should be more polite.
There was a wind on the other end of the phone, and it sank for a few seconds before saying, "Where are you?"
"Victory apartment!" Looking at the crib installed by Maisie, she carefully spread a layer of mosquito net on the bed with some displays.
"Hmm!" She thought Jordan had something to do with her, but he just called her and there was no follow-up after that.
When she saw him hang up the phone, she left her phone next to her and went to enjoy the crib. The more she looked at it, the cuter it seemed.
"Well, everything is ready. We're just waiting for the baby to come out." Maisie was very fond of making trouble, so she looked at her with a sense of achievement and said, "What do you say, my godmother?"
She smiled and stuffed herself with some fruit. "Very impressive! Super awesome!"
Seeing that it was getting late, Maisie looked at her and said, "I'll take a bath first. Take a look. What else do you have to do?"
She nodded and sat in the living room looking at her cell phone.
The door rang downstairs. She thought it was a takeout ordered by Maisie. She got up, opened the door, and said to the bathroom, "Maisie, did you order takeout?"
There was a voice in the bathroom, "No!"
Before she could continue to speak, there was a tall man standing at the door. Ivelle was stupefied. What was Jordan doing here?
"You." Ivelle opened her mouth, and her question mark got stuck in her throat.
"Aren't you going to let me in?" He spoke with his cold face that felt somewhat easygoing.
Ivelle shook her head. "It's inconvenient! Maisie usually likes to come out wrapped in a bath towel, so it is really inconvenient."
"Who is it, Ivelle?" There was a sound from the wood in the bathroom.
After taking a look at Jordan's cautious words, she opened her mouth to the bathroom, "Property!"
"Property?" Jordan raised his eyebrows and his mood was not discernable.
Ivelle tilted her mouth and said calmly, "What are you doing here? It's almost ten o'clock. Shouldn't you be back?"
He stood in the doorway with his height blocking the faint light in the hallway. She looked up at him as if she was looking at a man who had been dragged into the dark.
"I'm taking you back!" He opened his mouth. As he spoke, he took out his hand that had been hidden on his pocket with the car keys.
Something came from the bathroom door. She raised her hand, pushed Jordan away, and said to the bathroom, "Maisie, I'm going out!"
Then, she closed the door and pulled Jordan to the stairwell. She knew it was not the right time to quarrel.
Her tone loosened a bit. "I'm going to stay here for a while. Don't worry about the baby. I'll take care of it."
"Go back to the villa!" He spoke with his eyes being a little cold. "Marcela's there, so she can take care of you!"
She twisted her eyebrows, "Jordan, I..."
"It's okay if you want to live here. Marcela and I will just have to come and live with you." He spoke solemnly.
Without mentioning in one breath, she paused and said, "It's too small for all of us to live here!"
"Then come back with me!"
The staircase was empty. Even though they talked quietly, there was still an echo.
Looking up at him, she said, "I'll stay here tonight and go back tomorrow!"
He nodded. "OK, I'll stay here with you tonight."
What?!
Considering his attitude, if she didn't go back, he would probably have to stay here.
That was all. When she got out of the stairs, she said, "Let's go!"
Then she went straight downstairs and sent a message to Maisie. She didn't bring her car keys, so she got on Jordan's car.
Seeing that she was on an autopilot, Jordan's gloomy face loosened a little. He fastened the seat belt for her before closing the door and going around the cab.
Hampshire Bay.
When Marcela waited at the door and saw Jordan and Ivelle coming back, her anxious face eased a little. "It's so late. Where have you been?"
"Something's been delayed!" When Ivelle returned to the living room, she saw dinner on the table in the kitchen.
She was stunned as she looked at Marcela and said, "Have you had dinner yet?"
Marcela nodded. "I've eaten some. Your husband came back in the evening and saw that you were not here. He went to pick you up without eating anything."
Jordan came in and hung his suit coat on the hanger beside him. The light was dim just now. Ivelle didn't look at him carefully, but she didn't see him in a dark mood right now. He just looked very tired.
Jordan had entered the busy season. Recently, he was either on a business trip or had a meeting. He basically got up at five or six o'clock in the morning and was busy with his work.
"Marcela, the food may be cold. Please reheat it." With that, she walked up to Jordan, looked at him, and said, "Eat something first. An empty stomach is bad for your health."
His head suddenly frowned slightly, and then his black eyes fell on her for a moment, "All right!"
Marcela was already heating up food in the kitchen, so Ivelle went back to her room to wash up. When she came out of the bathroom, she saw Jordan.
She could not help wringing her eyebrows, "During this time, we should sleep separately!"
"I won't do anything!" He opened his mouth, took off his coat, pulled his bathrobe, and then went into the bathroom.
