###Chapter 9 Make A Bet
###Chapter 9 Make A Bet
Ivelle couldn't tell what he was thinking, so she nodded slightly and said yes.
People were sometimes very humble, humble for no reason. For her, it seemed that she has formed a habit, she would obey every request of Jordan even if her heart was extremely resistant.
When the car drove to the city, she thought Jordan would take her back to the villa. She didn't want him to take her directly to the hospital.
The smell of disinfectant spread in every corner of the hospital. Ivelle didn't like it, but she could only follow Jordan into Nicole's ward.
Nicole was in the infusion, she was sick and was lying on the plain white hospital bed. Her eyes were clear and shallow, she was looking soft and petite.
When she saw her coming in with Jordan, she looked at Ivelle coldly. It took her a long time to look at Jordan. She said, "I don't want to see her!"
It seemed that the delicate and lovely posture of Nicole was gone. She was a little colder and fuller of hatred.
Jordan walked up to her, picked her up half out of bed, rubbed his chin on her forehead, and said, "Let her take care of you for a few days."
Intimacy, doting, this scene stung her nerves.
Nicole wanted to say something else but for a moment, she looked up at Jordan, smiled, and said, "OK, I'll listen to you!"
The two of them would decide whether she would stay or not in just a word.
It was funny that she didn't say a word and completely listened to their arrangement.
Jordan was very busy. Although he didn't show up at his grandfather's funeral, he was an Astley after all. There were a lot of things that he had to go through. The Astley Family was now in his charge and he didn't have much time to stay in the hospital to accompany Nicole.
It seemed that she was the only one who can stay and take care of Nicole.
At 2: 00 in the morning, Nicole slept so much during the day that she could not fall asleep at night. There was no extra bed in the hospital, so she had to sit in the armchair beside the bed.
When she saw that Ivelle was not sleeping, Nicole looked at her and said, "Ivelle, you are too humble."
When Ivelle heard those words, she didn't know what to say for a moment. She looked down at the ring in her hand and after a long time, Ivelle looked at Nicole and said, "Isn't that what love is?"
She smiled and wondered why it took her a long time to say those words, "Are you tired?"
Ivelle shook their head, why would she be tired? She was in love.
"Could you get me a glass of water?" She opened her mouth, got up slightly, and leaned half back.
Ivelle nodded and got up to pour her water.
"There's no need to add cold water, it's better to have it hot!" When Nicole spoke, she was not able to hear much emotion.
Ivelle poured out the water, she handed it to her but she didn't get it, Nicole just looked at her and said, "I feel sorry for you and I don't blame you for the baby but I can't help but to put the blame and hate on you."
Ivelle didn't know what she meant by that but she just handed her the water and said, "Be careful!"
She took the cup and grabbed Ivelle. Instinctively, Ivelle wanted to withdraw her hand. She stared at her with black eyes and said, "Let's have a bet to see if he will be with you in the end."
Ivelle was stupefied. Nicole looked at her with a light look, "Dare you?"
She said nothing and poured the hot water down the back of her hand. It hurt her so much, it was like she was bitten by a thousand ants.
Although it was silent she was involved in this bet.
Nicole put down the water cup and said with an innocent look on her face, "Sorry, I didn't mean to. The water cup was too hot. I spilled it carelessly. Are you all right?"
That was a lie.
She took her hand back and shook her head in pain. "It's all right!"
