###Chapter 95 Moved By His Subtlety
###Chapter 95 Moved By His Subtlety
It didn't take that long when the doorbell of the villa gate rang. As soon as Ivelle turned to open the door, her cell phone rang.
It was Jordan.
She answered the phone. But before she could speak, he said, "Go and open the door. I have people there to install the nursery. In addition, the garden room on the top floor is not easy to live in. I asked them to renovate the master bedroom so you could sleep better."
She opened the door and saw a middle-aged man looking at her. He said, "Hello, Mrs. Astley. We are called by Mr. Astley to install the nursery."
She nodded, opened the door and let them in.
Then Ivelle said faintly to the phone, "Where are you? When will you be back?"
"At the Wyndham Hotel. I may be back a little late. I ordered soup for you for dinner. Chef Morgan will have it delivered to you later."
His voice was quiet, but everything was arranged.
Ivelle said, "Okay, I'll hang up first."
As she looked at the rockery in the yard, her heart was a little confused. It was as if her heart was being gently kneaded. There was a slight pain along with inexplicable warmth and throbbing.
Jordan was very good at taking care of people. She knew for a long time that if he took someone to heart, he could take care of that someone until it was crippled.
So she thought, 'But how long can this warmth and beauty last?'
The sun went down slowly, and Chef Morgan sent the soup and a lot of small dishes. All of which were for tonifying the body.
She didn't eat much. After the workers left, she walked around the house.
There were a lot of changes. A lot of displays had been replaced in the hall collection. The workers got rid of the old displays that were broken, and the rest went to Jordan's warehouse.
The originally dark and rigorous house was replaced with a warm tone. Even the original brown sofa was changed to Athens blue. It looked warmer now.
The Roman ladder was carpeted, the corridor was hung with many warm-colored pictures, and the nursery was dominated by sky blue. Everything was very pleasing to the eye.
If people just stood to stare at it, they would definitely be in a much better mood.
Ivelle's eyes were a little sore. She then thought, 'Is is because of the child or because of me?'
'Maybe it's because of the baby!'
She lusted for this beauty. She sat in the nursery and refused to come out. Meanwhile, the doorbell downstairs kept ringing until she was distracted by it.
She then found herself trotting downstairs.
When she opened the door, Kian was cautious. He didn't look good until he saw her for a long time. He said to her, "How big is this house that it took you so long to come down here?"
She ignored him. She saw Jordan sitting by the flower bed behind him. She saw him leaning half against the rockery. He seemed to have drunk too much.
As she walked directly to Jordan, a strong smell of wine came. She wrung her eyebrows and helped him up. Then she looked at Kian solemnly and said, "Thank you for sending him back."
Kian was cautious and didn't open his mouth. He just glanced at her and left.
As she helped Jordan back to the bedroom, Jordan seemed confused and didn't speak much. He bowed his head in a daze. He looked like he was drunk, but he didn't seem to be drunk.
Ivelle opened her mouth, shook him and asked, "Do you feel sick in your belly?"
He looked up at her, a little confused and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"
She nodded and sighed. She was afraid he would drink more than usual. She got up and poured him some water as she held by him.
He pressed her leg, squinted, and asked her, "Where are you going?"
"I'll get you a glass of water!" Ivelle silently thought, 'Why does he act like a child now?'
He nodded and said, "I'm coming with you!" With that, he tried to get up, but was not able to stand still so she sat down again.
Ivelle patiently said, "All right, just sit quietly. I'll pour water for you. Don't bother to stand. I don't think you can go with me when you're like that."
She got up and poured him a glass of water. Her hands were hanging as she had no strength. She sighed and put the glass close to his mouth. She ordered him, "Open your mouth!"
He squinted at her and said, "Ivelle."
She put the glass of water close to his mouth and gave him a drink. She then reached out to undress him but she was pressed by him. She then told him, "Don't move!"
"Jordan, you should get some sleep now! Look at the time. It was 12:00 midnight already!"
He nodded, got up and said, "Well, I'll go home first. Ivelle is not safe at home alone!"
With that Ivelle couldn't help but thought, 'Me?'
'How much did he drink?'
When she pulled him back to bed, she held his face and said, "Jordan, you are at home now. Take a good look at me. I am Ivelle."
He looked at her with open eyes, without the usual coldness and harshness, and he became a little bit warmer. He raised his hand to touch her face, and the corners of his mouth went up. He mumbled, "You've come to pick me up, let's go home!"
It really looked like he drank a lot.
Ivelle then said, "All right, let's go home!" As she said that, she helped him up and was ready to take him around and then come back. Unexpectedly, he pulled her downstairs and she stumbled all the way down.
He unexpectedly took her into the master bedroom, thinking that it had been renovated. The original sandalwood bed in the bedroom was carried away and was replaced with tatami, which was very wide.
The wedding photos they took before were hung on the walls, and a small rocking bed was placed on the side of the bed. It was very pink and tender.
The wardrobe had not been dismantled. As it was directly replaced by the cloakroom, the space was very large, so it looked very comfortable.
She was just looking at the nursery, not the master bedroom.
He took Ivelle around, looked at her with a silly smile and said, "Do you like this?"
He was usually cold, and this tone was mostly designed for her.
He had drunk a lot. He walked in the bedroom for a while, and then fell asleep on the bed.
Then it was Monday.
During work days, Jordan would always get up early, and she had nothing to do. She just came to the company with him.
Kyle Branson rested for a few days and saw her again. She looked much better and seemed to have recovered.
When she saw her, she smiled and said, "Director, I want to talk to you!"
Ivelle nodded and took her into the office.
She had known her for two or three years, and she had a similar temper in some ways. She motioned for her to her to sit down, and then said, "Astley Group's audit had been reported. Now, you need to pay more attention to Samson's Electronics' case. My stomach was already starting to hurt, and there are always times when I can't take care of it."
She put her hands on her lap and intertwined them each other. She then looked at Ivelle and said, "Director, I'm here today to officially resign from my post."
Ivelle was stunned for a moment. After regaining her composure, she said, "I thought you would not easily give up this job. After all, you have worked hard for a long time."
"Everyone could make mistakes, but if you made a mistake, you could just correct it. There is no need to resign right away."
She didn't speak for a long time. Ivelle was in a bit of a hurry when she asked, "What is you reason?"
Kyle replied, "I may be getting married. My husband wants me to stay at home to take good care of my family." Ivelle saw that she said this with a bit of regret, and she could tell that she was not willing to resign.
"Don't you have any children? You can still work after you get married. If you don't work, you may not be used to it at 01:30."
A brief flashback came to Ivelle. At that time, her grandfather also meant for her to stay at home and not go to work. She knew it his intention was good. He didn't want her to suffer too much. But if she didn't work and had too much time, Jordan and Nicole would be happily entangled in those days. Ivelle simply couldn't get through it.
