Kiara
“Alpha Maseno,” with hope that I would be saved from my tormentor brewing in my eyes, I looked at the door, my lips curling upwards for an uncontroble smile as the name escaped my lips.
Alpha Benna's head guard froze, looked behind him, and cussed. Taking advantage of the fact that he was torn between turning to keep an eye on me and whether to believe that Maseno was really there, I dashed from the window, tiptoed to the large table where the television was placed, and squatted.
The table was designed in such a way that you could pull open what looked like painted doors on its side and crawl inside. I quickly slid open the hidden doors and slipped inside the table, my heart pounding with fright.
I settled in the cramped space and couldn't help but wonder how long I could stay hidden before the guard would discover my clever hiding spot. As I waited anxiously, the sound of footsteps grew louder, echoing through the room. I held my breath, praying that my hiding place would go unnoticed.
“Daughter of a whore!“ I heard him cuss when he realized I had tricked him. He continued cussing, his angry voice filling the room and sending shivers down my spine.
A nail pricked my bare knee, and I was forced to muffle out the whipher that was about to escape me, knowing that I had to remain silent and still, hoping that he would eventually give up his search.
To distract myself from the pain and fear, I focused on the sound of my own heartbeat pounding in my ears. Each thump seemed to drown out his angry tirade, giving me a sliver of hope.
He cussed again, smashing what god knows, and I peered through the crack and saw him still kicking things angrily. He swung the axe he was holding and smashed it against the bedside table, causing all my novels to fall to the floor with loud whacks.
“You'll regret lying to me, Kiara. You better come out before I find you." He rumbled, anger pressing on his voice.
Like I had expected, the first place he went to look for me was under the bed. He bent down, searching under it, with his eyes darting around. With frustration etched across his face, he stood up and continued his search throughout the room, tearing through every hiding spot he could find.
I nearly cried out loud when I saw something beside him. Too bad the table I was hiding inside was far from him, or else I would have taken that as an advantage, grabbed that axe he had left lying behind him, and hit him hard on his ass until he lost his consciousness.
Coming back to the bed again, as if not satisfied with his search, he kneeled, lifted the bedsheets, and cursed when he saw nothing. He even pulled his phone from his pocket, turned on the torch, and looked again until he was satisfied.
He stormed to the bathroom, the scowl he was wearing on his face nearly making me laugh out loud. Echoes of the mirror smashing on the ground and bottles of shampoo getting thrown around rose from the bathroom as he vented his frustration. The sound of running water followed shortly after, indicating that he was attempting to calm himself down.
A few minutes later, he walked out while calling my name.
The tone he used was now soft and calm, unlike the one he earlier used on me. The anger on his face had dissipated too and was replaced with a calm expression.
If I were still the previous me, I would have crawled out of the table and approached him, but nah, that won't work on me anymore.
“Let's not play cat and mouse anymore, Kiara, my dear. Come out. Believe me when I say that I am not here to cause you any harm. I just want to let you know what Benna has planned for you."
I almost sneered. Gone are the days when I would easily fall for his manipulative tactics. Instead, I maintained a composed demeanor, refusing to let his words affect me.
If he truly meant no harm to me, why did he hold everyone hostage downstairs when all of them confessed that they didn't know me?
Why was it that he came to my room with anger that made him break down my door when I refused to open the door?
Does he think I am two years old?
It seemed contradictory for him to claim innocence while resorting to such extreme measures!
Freaking goddamned asshole! I thought.
"Kiara, my dear,” he called again. With his hands on his hips, he walked to my bed and flopped on it.
I made a mental note of changing the sheets once all the horror was over because the last thing I wanted was to have his freaking disgusting scent wafting to my nostrils when I retired to my bed, knowing that it had a habit of lingering for so long where he rested himself.
He slumped backwards and slept on his back while he stared at the ceiling. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts for a while before his phone buzzed from his pocket.
“Where are you, son of a bitch?" The person from the other end yelled, and he was forced to take his phone off his ear.
“Alpha Benna,” he literraly jumped up from the bed and stood. I knew it. I knew it was Benna who had called, judging from the voice.
“Don't alpha Benna me, where are you?“ He was asked.
He sighed, swalowed, and pressed his phone against the other ear. ”I am inside Kiara's room. I…”
He was cut off. "Get the hell out of there, now!“ The order came. He didn't seem like he would comply, though, as he hesitated for a moment before responding. “But Alpha, I am about to..."
“Should I repeat myself?“ Alpha Benna's voice dropped from a high pitch to a low one. I guess he knew what that meant because, even though I was eavesdropping, I kind of got the message from that tone.
“I am leaving, Alpha." The guard replied, dropped the call, and started walking out of the room.
When he reached the door, he looked back and warned, "Don't think you are saved. I will still come back for you, Kiara, I promise."
I fought the urge to push the small door open, crawl out from the table, and flick my tongue at him. As much as I wanted to laugh at his face, I knew it was best to remain silent and let him leave.
“Goodbye forever." I bid him inwardly and stiffled a laugh.
He had missed kidnapping me, and there was no way he was going to get another chance to do that again. I knew for sure that Alpha Maseno would tighten the security and would never let anything like that happen again.
I waited for like half an hour before I crawled out from under the table and cautiously looked around. Cold air brushed against my skin, causing my hands and legs to suddenly go numb, and I was forced to sit on the cold floor for a short time while I waited to regain energy.
I had no idea that it was fucking hot in there. My dress was soaking up my own sweat, and my heart thumped rapidly.
I forced myself from the ground and walked to the fan just beside the bed. Pressing on the tiny whistish remote on the table, I released the button when it reached maximum.
I closed my eyes and threw my head backward as my body began to cool down. The images of Miss Olivia and the other workers kneeling in the living room area with guns held on their heads flashed across my head.
I lifted the dress I was wearing since it was long, carried it, and dashed out of the room.
“I am sorry if you thought I was gone.“ A voice mocked me from beside me.
Gasping, I twirled around and screamed when I saw Alpha Benna's guard. He held my hand so tight that I thought he would break it. Before I could get to react, he started pulling me to where God knows.
What the hell was he doing there behind my door? I thought he was fucking gone!
Knowing it was not time to think about all that, I looked around me, hoping that I would see anyone and scream for help. As if he had read my thoughts, he pulled his dirty handkerchief from his back pocket and tied it around my mouth.
I tried fighting him, but it was like a failing battle because I was still weak after squeezing myself in a tiny space for almost an hour in the name of hiding.
"Let go, you freaking goddamned bastard." I asked him through the mindlink.
"Nay!" He mindlinked back, "Lick my bumhole if you want me to let go."
I almost gagged.
“Trust me, Kiara, when I tell you that my boss will be proud of me.“ He grinned like a fool. By boss, he meant Alpha Benna.
I rolled my eyes at him and shut them close for a silent prayer: “Mother Godess, help me find a way to escape this fool."
