Author's POV
In two weeks, Casino Confessions arrived. Powerful alphas and leaders from every part of the world attended it, as it was not something one could miss.
Missing that was equivalent to missing opportunities. Among the many people who arrived in expensive cars was a slim figure with a dark blue suit, curly black hair, and black shades covering his eyes.
He also wore a facemask, making it difficult for the onlookers to know who was behind that mask and goggles.
Kiara's book was successfully published, but Alpha Maseno decided it would be launched this very day when the casino would be happening because the doctor suggested that Kiara may come out of her coma the very same day.
What they all wished and kept their fingers crossed for was that she wouldn't lose her memories since the doctor had observed that she had taken a huge blow at the back of her head.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” a voice called from in front to get everyone's attention. The whole place went silent as everyone listened to the program.
The only person who wasn't listening was the slim figure, who all this while had his eyes pierced on Alpha Maseno, checking him out.
As if he had sensed a gaze on him, Alpha Maseno tilted his head and narrowed his eyes at the masked figure, who continued to stare at him with no shame.
The figure even waved at him, but he snorted instead and decided to concentrate on the MC rather than him.
He did keep on stealing glances at the mysterious figure once in a while, though. His conscience told him that he was familiar with the mysterious man, but his brain and eye kept denying that fact.
He made a mental note for himself that later on, when the whole thing was over, he would approach him and ask if they knew each other.
“I would now give this chance to the Alpha of Alpha's and tell us what he had brought with him today. Ladies and gentlemen, let's give a round of applause to Alpha Maseno.“ The Mc jarred him from his trance.
Smoothing his suit slightly, Maseno rose from his chair and went on stage.
“I do have something with me today, but it's ordinary. No, ordinary is a simple term for this; it's extra-ordinary.“ He started when dead silence covered the hall.
“I won't say much on that, but I'll leave you ladies and gentlemen to see for yourself.“ He nodded cutly to the Mc, who disappeared for a while before coming back with projectors and a flash.
“This is a new movie that will be gracing your screens soon, but since all of us are always busy with our pack activities, it will be better if we watch it now."
A few people started murmuring from the crowd when he said this. They were there for casinos, not movies.
Although most of the people were disappointed, none of them dared to leave the hall or object. The only thing they could do was fall back on their seats and watch it.
The movie started, and boredom could be seen on people's faces. That was until characters flashed out and they understood what was really going on.
The crowd gasped, their widened eyes scanning around the room looking for a particular person.
“Alpha Benna, you really are trash!“ A woman screamed from the middle of the hall, and the rest of the hall erupted into cusses, throwing all kinds of shady words at him.
Alpha Maseno raised his hand to silence them. ''I did this not because I hated him, but because he had been deceiving the world all this while. As you all have seen, he has been selling innocent girls as sex slaves and keeping a few of them his own.
He has been selling illegal drugs, selling fire arms to terrorist groups, and being the leader of the most dangerous mafia all this time. He has been the one who has been telling us to keep peace, but he's been ruining it.
I won't say much, but I would leave the court to deal with him. I have so far rescued all the girls he had sold into prostitution, burned all his farms where he had planted all his illegal drugs, and much more.
I wouldn't wish any of you to thank me for doing this, but the author who had written this manuscript for us knew that a word of mouth would have never brought this guy behind bars.
Finally, I would like to say thank you to Alpha Benna's beta. He has been trying all along to help all the people who were harmed by his alpha, and I can tell him that he has finally succeeded.
Although, because of Alpha Benna, I have not only lost my partner but my unborn child too. I am glad that I have avenged for them.“ He lowered his voice at this point.
“Let's all pray that the writer of this book, Kiara, will come out of her coma as soon as possible so that we can get her book launched. I don't know if she'll be mad that it was made into a movie before it's released, but I am sure she would understand.“ He intended to make people laugh at this, and luckily they did.
With that said, I would be taking your leave, ladies and gentlemen.“ He finished his speech.
Back in the hospital, after Kiara woke up, he found a familiar figure sitting on her bedside. She cleared her throat, and once she got the figure's attention, she asked what she had been wanting to know all along: Why do you always help me, Beta Kelvin?"
“Because I am your uncle. The uncle you have been missing all this while—I never died, princess. I was rescued from the fire, but I made the person who rescued me lie and say that I was dead alongside your mother. You won't be angry with me, right?“ he asked, his heart thumping wildly.
“I won't. I missed you, Uncle Carlino. Why didn't you tell me, Why did you have to disguise yourself?“ She asked in tears.
“Because it would have never been good if Benna would have known that the person he lives thinking he killed years ago is still alive, although he knows that now.“ He chuckled.
Before Kiara could respond, the door was pushed open, and Alpha Maseno walked in with Olivia, Carlos, and the masked figure.
“Who's this you have brought with you?“ She asked, struggling to sit.
“Guess?“ Maseno grinned ear to ear at her.
“Really, you expect someone who is just coming out of a coma to guess?“ She asked, faking anger.
“Alright,” he said, raising his hands in surrender. “It's…”
Before he could finish, he was cut off by the figure itself. “Ta-da!“ The figure screamed, throwing away the mask and black shades.
“Sony!“ Kiara screamed, jumping into his arms.
"Carefuly!" Everyone screamed, knowing that she was still weak.
“How?“ She asked Sony, ignoring the careful's, “I thought you were dead.“
Sony chuckled. Well, thanks to your uncle, when he had Kedeva and Benna planning my murder, he told me, and I got saved. In short, they set an empty plane on fire.“
“Om my god, thanks, Uncle Carlino,” Kiara said, blowing a kiss at her uncle.
“What will happen to Benna and Kedeva now?“ She asked.
"Mmm, let's say Benna is given life imprisonment together with his buddy Kedeva. John and the librarian will both serve twenty-five years in prison.“ Maseno explained.
“I am glad all this is over. What will we do when I fully recover?“ Kiara asked.
“You'll get to live the life you want. You and your uncle, but for now, we are going for a vacation; after all, we need to take all this off our heads.“ Sony explained.
“What about the baby? I have to keep my part of the deal since you both kept mine. I am going to be your surrogate again? Do you both still what a child?" She asked them again, not having any doubts.
“NOO!“ Kedeva and Sony screamed at the same time, causing the rest to erupt into laughter.
“Well then, time for vacation!“ Olivia and Carlos screamed in unison.
