"But we will have to go for a DNA test to confirm if it's really Edde's baby" He said as I raised my eyes at him Wondering if he doesn't believe me and think I am one of those girls who would fake pregnancy to get close to Edde "Not that I don't believe you but we still need to be sure before taking the next step" He said as if he read my mind, I nodded in agreement and continued with my meal.

I was quite uncomfortable by the way Edde stole glances at me. He was obviously angry at me for wanting to keep the baby but I don't care, I can't kill my own baby he should get used to it anyways… He put me in this mess.

"Eat up so that you can leave, it's a few minutes to ten…" Mr Reluc Loxley said, checking his wrist watch.

The dinner went on as Mr Reluc Loxley kept throwing questions at me which I answered even if I wasn't comfortable staying again, Edde's looks were like bee sting to my skin.

"Thanks so much for having me sir, I will like to leave now" I said, dropping my fork and cleaning my mouth.

"Oh yes, definitely my dear… Edde will come pick you by twelve tomorrow for the DNA test" He said as I slightly moved my eyes to Edde who didn't react to his father's word.

I am supposed to be at work tomorrow, going for the DNA tomorrow means that I will have to beg Melanie to work for me.

The drive back home with Edde was a very quiet one, I could bet that he had dangerous plans going through his mind for me.

"What's the reason for keeping your baby Elizabeth? Are you really trying hard to get closer to me?… I mean, I thought your obsession over me would end after the one night stand but here you are trying hard to get close to me!?" Edde finally said in a loud voice with obvious anger and frustration in it.

He suddenly stopped his car at a corner now facing me. I was kind of scared knowing that he was capable of anything at that moment.

"Look Edde, I don't understand what you're saying… Firstly, this isn't just my baby but OUR baby" I said emphasizing on the OUR "Edde I won't gain anything from you if I try to get close to you, knowing how much we hate each other I will be putting my life in danger if I try getting you to love me" I sighed as I could feel tears smudging my view.

"I curse the day I met you Elizabeth, you're such a bad luck to me! Do you know what I will be missing if I have to take responsibility for your bastard chi…" He tried saying as I slapped him hard across the face.

"Don't you dare call my unborn baby names you punk! You put him in there so you have to take responsibility… I watched you call me names and that doesn't mean I will watch you curse my baby you JACKASS!" I yelled back at him as he held his cheek glaring at me with fury in his eyes.

"You dare lay your filthy hand on my face!?" He said coldly as I gnitched my teeth in anger as tears streamed down my cheeks.

"And I will do that again and again Edde Loxley!" I yelled as a knock came on the window, we turned to the window to see two black cops, Edde rolled down the glass to see their faces clearly and for them to see him, as it was a tinted glass window.

"Any problem?" Edde said coldly like they can't do anything to him.

"Oh! We are sorry sir we didn't know it was you… Just that it's wrong to park cars in this corner as instructed by the government" the police said as Edde nodded and rolled up the window, I was supposed to be surprised by the respect the cops gave him but I wasn't, knowing how famous Edde was.

He turned on the car ignition switch and drove off…

Getting in front of my house after directing him the way to my house, I came down as I watched him drive off at full speed, I turned towards my house entrance frustrated as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I feel like I am forcing Edde to accept my baby, do I really need him to take care of my baby? Maybe I should just forget him because at the end of all this Edde won't love my baby… I am so confused over what to do.

I cleaned my tears and arranged my hair as I entered the living room to see Melanie sitting on the couch with my mom watching a movie.

"Hello…" I simply greeted, headed upstairs to my room banging the door behind me and falling to the bed, the door opened almost immediately as Mel hurried in towards me.

"What's up Etta, what's with the attitude?" She said sitting next to me as I ignored her staring at the ceiling as tears streamed down to my both ears"Etta you're crying! What's wrong, talk to me!" Melanie said, bending over to me worriedly.

"Melanie it's nothing" I said, failing in my cracky voice.

"Come on! Don't give me that lie Elizabeth… Remember our bestie swear" She pointed as I sat up now facing her.

Edde barged into his room babbling audibly, his maids and security had thought of asking him if there was any problem but they dared not, they noticed his recent attitude and wondered what their lively boss could be going through but still they dare not ask him.

Edde stared at his mirror as he forced his tie off his neck sitting on his dressing chair.

"Why would she prefer to keep the baby and punish me for the rest of my life!? What would be her gain if she does that… She equally slapped me! Something no woman or anybody apart from my dad has dared!" Edde yelled at his reflection on the mirror, all his mind could think of was a way to get rid of Elizabeth.

"She is such a poison!" He yelled taking off his wrist watch as his phone vibrated, it was a video call from his dad.

Edde sucked his teeth loudly as he swipes to the green icon holding the phone up to his face level, seeing his father's facial expression made him know that his father didn't call to ask him if he got Elizabeth safely back home or anything relating to that.

"Edde I know who you are and what you're capable of doing, one thing is sure… You will take responsibilities of that kid no matter what, maybe you will try persuading her into aborting the baby but just know that if she does that you lose your inheritance" Mr Reluc Loxley said as Edde raised his brows in shock.

"Dad, are you really going this far just because of a poor college student!?" Edde Muttered as his eyes shone, not wanting to believe his father's words.

"You should know what I am capable of, Edde, I ain't Joking… What I am saying in essence is that you should get married to that young lady. I have always wanted you to be responsible for your good and for the reputation of Brigitte and here is the Chance! I might equally make Elizabeth the heiress because she is reasonable and mannered… So play your cards right" Mr Loxley said as he ended the call.

"WHAT!!"

The next morning I woke up not seeing Mel on the bed with me, I reached for my phone to see that it was already 25 mins past 11am in the morning! What's wrong with me and waking up this late!.

I was sure that Melanie had gone to Barbara's Pizza palace to stay in my place, I had pleaded with her to help me out and also told her about my crazy encounter with Edde which she definitely didn't take lightly, she was ready to track down Edde and kick his ass for making me cry.

Soon Edde will be here to pick me up and look at me, I haven't even brushed my teeth.

My mind raced back to my mom, I haven't talked to her since yesterday not like I always talk to her but lately she changed towards me maybe because I am pregnant and caring the child of a billionaire playboy.

The door opened as the smell of weed followed In making me close my nose, Speaking of the devil it was my mom and I have always warned her about smoking in the house.

"Mom, we talked about this already!" I yelled as she took it off her mouth, throwing it to the floor and matching it.

"So how was the dinner at Reluc's house?" She asked, resting her back on the door.

"We are going for a DNA test today, Edde will be here soon to pick me and please mom I'm begging you don't come out for any reason" I said as I headed to the bathroom.

"I don't want to find your word offensive… Anyways your breakfast is at the dining table" She said as I heard the door crack open and then closed.

I hurriedly prepared myself as I could hear the continuous sound of the car honk, I could tell how impatient Edde was and he wouldn't want to get down from the car knowing how known he is to the public…

I quickly had my breakfast and hurried out, entering inside his car. I expected him to scold me but…

"Why do you still eat like a kid?, You have breadcrumbs on your mouth"
