Chapter 13

It was obviously an edited photo of Edde's hand grabbing my bum it was the picture from the hospital but I wondered how they edited it to look that real, I was so embarrassed on seeing the photo as I read the caption beneath it which says 'playboy at it again' with two ugly laughing emojis.

"What the fuck is all this!" I groaned angrily, nearly crushing my phone "I will just leave this group chat. I hate this jackass's!" I yelled to myself as I left the group and left the balcony headed back to my room.

They succeeded in ruining my beautiful morning with that stupid picture, I mean… Isn't it just too early for them to start spreading rumors about me and Edde!? I trailed down the stairs to see my mom cleaning the couches with cigarette in her lips and headset's covering her ears which I could bet were loud enough to burst the eardrums.

I stood by the wall watching my mom who cleaned the couches and smoked her cigar like there was no trouble, like she owned the world and lived the most perfect life. At times I wished I could switch personalities with her although just the worry free part of her.

Sighting me she took off the headset hanging it around her neck and removed the cigar from her lips holding it firmly and blowing off the thick smoke in her mouth "Good morning Mom" I greeted faking a slight smile.

"Good morning to you too Elizabeth, thank God you woke up early today although your eyes are swollen" she pointed as I felt my eyes hissing to nothing in particular "I need you to take the dollar notes on the dining table and go get foodstuffs and beverages we are lacking" She simply said as I turned to the dinning table to see a good amount of dollar bills lying on the table, I smiled knowing fully well that I was on the edge of using my own money to shop for the house, I am just lucky that mom doesn't know about my new job if not the house expenses would be shifted to me while she use hers to buy her usuals.

Grabbing the dollar bills I ran back up the stairs to get ready…

After having a satisfying bath I faced my dressing mirror to get my skin moisturized, my already lossed messy bun sat at the back of my neck as my very curly baby hairs slipped around my big forehead, if I should thank God about anything in my in my body my hair would come first, I have this extremely curly dark hair that everybody admired couple to the fact that no chemical has been used on it.

I restyled my hair in a messy bun again in order to apply lotion around my neck without having them flocking around. After all the skin care routines I quickly picked Jean pants with a simple ash colored top letting my hair fall to my butt… Yeah, I have really long hair!

I glanced at the mirror one more time satisfied by my simple look but knowing I always get lots of eyes on me because of how denim pants makes my butt look fatter than usual, I would see men drooling over me but truth be told I never had the intention to get lustful eyes on me, everyone literally sees me as a slut no matter what I wear but… It's not my fault that I have a big bum anyways.

Grabbing my little bag which the money is in, I left my room to the sitting room, sighting the steamy brown rice on the table. I couldn't afford missing breakfast again so I quickly had my breakfast and off to the shopping mall downtown.

I could see eyes on me which made me too uncomfortable and insecure. I couldn't tell the reason they looked at me in such a manner, maybe because of my curves, hair or the trend! I tried my best to ignore the eyes as I entered the mall and focused on shopping for the food stuffs the house was lacking. I had gone through the fridge and cupboard to check what we have and what we didn't have while making lists and truly we were short of food.

After paying for what I bought I quickly booked a cab instead to avoid standing by the pedestrian and giving people a chance to give me weird annoying looks.

Finally getting back home I heaved a deep sigh of relief dropping the items on the kitchen counter tiredly as I lazily walked back to the sitting room falling on our old soft couch as my eyes stared at the old model TV blankly until I slept off.

Waking up hours later by the continues tap I felt on my lap I opened my eyes which turned out way too smudgy as I rubbed it with the back of my palm clearing it up to see Mel's smiley face, I signed sitting up "what's the time" I asked almost in a whisper as she checked her wrist watch.

"Three minutes for the time to tick 3pm" she replied as my eyes shone in disbelief making me almost panic.

"Mel, is my outfit okay for visiting Edde?" I asked hopefully as she eye scanned my full outfit with her mouth curved.

"Well, surprisingly yeah… You look simple but hot enough to kill the devil!" She grinned as I placed my palms on my chest in relief "You know, I always told you how good you look on Jeans" She pointed as I nodded slightly as I suddenly heard the car honk knowing that it definitely is the chauffeur I hastily grabbed my purse.

"Mel I gotta to go now, thanks for waking me up" I said as I gave her a quick peck hurrying out.

"Come on! I came to spend time with you!" She said giving me a puppy face which I refused to fall for.

"Mel, there is a big full bar of chocolate in my fridge and some new fruit juices, make yourself comfy okay!" I said audibly, slamming the door behind me.

The drive on the limo to meet Edde wherever I am to meet him was quite comfortable… Yes I was picked by a limousine I nearly freaked out when I saw it packed outside and I am sure that if Mel had seen it she wouldn't hide her excitement, definitely neighbors around have seen the luxury parked in front of our apartment and they are sure gossiping right now, the chauffeur tried all his best to see that I was comfortable as he made wine available for me and some edibles, I didn't bother asking him where he was taking me to as I was already too comfortable and I was pretty sure he was taking me to Edde's house.

Soon the car drove towards a magnificent black see through gate that opened by itself, driving in my mouth fell open on seeing the Mansion that stood in front of us.

Wait… Was it a Mansion or some green screen perfect edit or maybe paradise on Earth? I was trapped on the spot. I stood staring at the beauty of the house with my mouth open, when I saw Mr Reluc's house I thought it was the best but seeing Edde's own sealed my tongue!

The Mansion was a full glass house although a smudged glass that you could barely see what's going on inside, the lights from inside made the house look heavenly that I wondered what the interior would look like, looking at the corner of the Mansion instead of the regular flowers we would see flocking around houses to give it a natural glow Edde rather had carpet glass around giving the exterior a unique look.

"Ma'am I will like to lead you in now, Mr Edde must be waiting" the chauffeur said snapping me out of my lost state as my cheeks turned red in embarrassment, composing myself I followed his lead inside.

Getting inside was another shock of a different level! Inside felt like heaven with expensive interior decor, the couches were made of black fur and the middle table was made of clear glass which had different species of fruits sitting on it, the furnitures were set at a corner of the sitting room making the sitting room look beautiful empty, what surprised me most was the fact that it was already getting dark outside but inside felt like Day.

"You didn't come to my house to admire interior decor's" That cold but captivating masculine British accent filled my ears as I turned to the direction seeing Edde at the edge of the stairs staring blankly at me with his right hand on the glassy looking stair ray and the left hand held firmly some pieces of papers which I wondered what filled it.

His shimmer dark eyeballs rolled around my body obviously checking my outfit, I saw his eyes fixed on my chest for a couple of seconds as it rolled down to my hips which proudly curved out on my denims and then back to my face "I love your hair" he finally said his face void of expression.

I knew quite well that he complimented me even if his expression didn't speak so and I know he has a lot more to say about me but he definitely won't say it "thank you" I said in a low tone which he ignored.

"Follow me…" He said in the most authoritative voice I have ever heard, he said it more like he owned me or I am his Alexa or something he could control.
