Chapter 12
Edde had gone to Wyatt's house for the night to ease his stress hence he had a lot going on around him lucky enough Rue Wyatt's wife and their son's went on a vacation so Edde had no issue flocking around in Wyatt's house.
Edde stood by the pool side staring at nothing in particular, just him and his endless thoughts on how his life turned out to be just after a one night stand.
"Yo man!… Boss up and stop over thinking!" Wyatt's voice was heard from behind as Edde turned to see him strutting with two glasses of champagne on his hands, Edde sighed turning and staring closely at nothing in particular inside the pool.
"Wyatt your life is way too perfect for you to understand all my brain is trying to settle now" Edde said, taking the champagne from Wyatt and gulping almost half of the content.
"Easy with that drink Edde, the alcohol content in it is almost 80%… Come over here let's sit and talk" Wyatt said, slightly tapping Edde's shoulder as a cue for him to calm down.
Edde and Wyatt sat on the chair facing the pool as Edde sipped his champagne not uttering a single word to Wyatt "Edde won't you like to talk to me about whatever your problem might be?" Wyatt said, staring at the already dark sky.
"My dad gave me the option of marrying Elizabeth or Kiss my inheritance goodbye" Edde said almost in a whisper as Wyatt turned to him startled by Mr Reluc's decision, he knew how hard it would be for his best friend to settle down with a woman forcefully… He equally pitied the woman.
"Knowing the kinda man you have as a father he is definitely serious about this sudden decision he has made and I bet it would be very tough for you and the young lady" Wyatt sighed taking a full gulp of his champagne "So what do you intend doing because you definitely can't say no to your dad's order else you wish to leave Brigitte for another mother-F"
"Well, as it is I do not have a choice than to marry that commoner but the issue here is if she would agree to marry me!" Edde muttered frustratedly ruffling his hair and biting his lips as if he was gonna burst it open.
"Wait… Like seriously she doesn't know about your intentions yet?" Wyatt's eyes shone in shock as Edde shaked his head negatively "Yo… You have to talk to her sooner before it's too late"
"What if she says no," Edde said, pursing his lips.
"Then you go through the hard way, you're never soft anyways" Wyatt said shrugging his shoulders watching Edde bit his upper lips in thoughts.

Elizabeth came back home quite late after spending the whole day with Melanie, She sluggishly drew her feet on the floor walking into the living room to see her mom sitting on the couch smoking with her legs on the center table watching a movie, she sighed on seeing her mother smoking "Hi Mom" she simply said not ready to fight with her mom concerning her smoking habit as she sat on the couch not minding the disturbing smell of the smoke.
"Elizabeth you're back home late again, anyways how was your day with The Loxley's?" Her Mom asked, her eyes focused on whatever was happening on TV.
"The test result came out positive proving Edde guilty…" Elizabeth replied as a visible smile curved Courtney Albie's lips.
"So what's the way forward? I mean their decision concerning you and the baby?" Mom asked as Elizabeth stood from the couch tired of inhaling the sick smell of smoke.
"Mom, they haven't said anything about that yet… Goodnight Mrs Albie" Elizabeth said trailing up the stairs.
"I am expecting someone here tonight! Just telling you in case you hear weird noises!" Courtney called out, making Elizabeth roll her eyes heavenward.
"Whore" Elizabeth mumbled to herself as she slammed her room door behind her and fell to the squashy bed with her eyes staring at the spinning fan blades on the ceiling.
Elizabeth's phone vibrated on the bed interrupting her endless thoughts as she hand searched and grabbed her phone to see a text from Mel, she hastily clicked on it…
"Did you see the new hashtag on Twitter?" Elizabeth read audibly curiously, wondering why Melanie would ask her about some random Twitter trend, before she could reply to the text another one dropped from Mel and this time it was a screenshot.
Staring closely at the screenshot Elizabeth's mouth fell open in shock, an unaware photo of her and Edde holding hands in the hospital was trending with the hashtag SAVE EDDE, Elizabeth's heartbeat increased as she went through the comments.
"Did Edde Loxley contact STD from the slut?"
"Why doesn't he seem happy?"
"Who Is that lady? She seems clingy towards him" BLAH BLAH BLAH….
All hate comments and they all seemed to be pointing fingers at her, she felt like crying at that point as Melanie's call came in which she answered immediately on the first ring.
"Mel, I think I am doomed! Did you see the comments!" Elizabeth panicked as tears threatened to escape her eye sockets.
"Fuck it Etta! How will a common internet trend get the better part of you!?… Those people are internet bugs that are just looking for gossip to share!" Mel said calming Elizabeth down "We both know that the secret behind your relationship with Edde isn't known publicly so… Why worry?"
Elizabeth heaved a sigh of relief trying to calm her nerves down but deep down she knew she lost her sparkles.
"By the way Etta you're fucking trending now! Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, blogging site! I am so happy for you Etta you need an Instagram page now because your fame is knocking!" Melanie squealed happily, making Elizabeth frown.
"What are you saying Mel? That is me getting hates!"
"Fuck it! I can't wait to be friends with Mrs Loxley!" Mel teased, intentionally pissing Elizabeth off as Elizabeth hung up the call throwing her phone under the pillow as she groaned loudly in frustration when her phone vibrated again.
"What the heck is wrong!…" She yelled pulling her phone out of the pillow swiped to the answer icon without looking at the callers ID and placed the phone on her ears "Fuck you Mel! Don't you dare disturb my phone again!" She yelled not actually angry with Mel as a deep masculine British accent filled her ears from the other end.
"Is that how you answer your calls?" Edde said, sounding as cold as ever with a wrinkled nose, Elizabeth sighed, regretting why she answered her phone without checking the caller's ID.
"I'm- I am sorry, I didn't check the ID'' Elizabeth wondered why she said the word sorry to him knowing fully well that she didn't offend him per se, she had learnt so many things from Melanie but this one thing seems not to stick to her brain… Melanie has always told her that being way too loyal to a man makes them think they own you, they would take advantage of you with the thought that you can't live without them, Melanie has always said that she never believed in sorry's except deep down she knew she committed a great crime.
Thinking about Melanie's words made Elizabeth think she had fumbled but she just let it pass with a deep breath.
"Don't fucking do that shit again, well, there is something important we need to discuss about you and the responsibility of having this baby" Edde started as Elizabeth heaved a sigh of relief knowing that she has been waiting to hear from them about that "Tomorrow my chauffeur will be at your house by 3pm latest to pick you up so get ready before that time… And don't look ratchet coming to my house" Edde said and hung up the call not wanting to hear whatever she might want to say, He had told her that she didn't have a choice with him anyways and she had wanted to ask him where she was gonna meet with him at least to know if it will be convenient for her.
Pulling off her quite uncomfortable dress she pulled into her free pajamas and turned the fan to the highest level falling to her bed as sleep took over almost immediately.

The annoying alarm dinged, waking Elizabeth up from her beautiful and peaceful sleep. She had set the alarm the previous night in order for her to wake up early and not miss breakfast again but she suddenly felt angry as she lost the best sleep she had had in a while.
Flipping her legs off the bed she shove her legs to her pink bedroom slipper walking lazily out of her room straight to the balcony as a smile curved her lips on getting the refreshing feels of natural morning breeze, she looked out to the road to see how busy it was, for some reasons the view felt new to her_well… Maybe because it's been quite long she spent time in her house.
Today turned out to be her Lucky day as the lecturer that would have taken them on a theory class cancelled the class with some random excuses and today was equally her day off at Barbara's shop plus she has till 3pm to get ready for Edde Loxley and that was a long time!

Just as I smiled happily looking down the road my phone dinged, making my smile fall on seeing a message from my school group chat which they tagged me in, I was quite amazed because no one really noticed me in class so I wondered what my business would be with whatever picture they tagged me in…
Clicking on the message my mouth fell open as my face frowned wrinkling my forehead… Like what the F…
