Chapter 17

Driving back to the mansion Edde rather drove into a classic restaurant making Elizabeth smile widely already salivating.

"God knows how famished I am right now" Elizabeth mumbled and made to open the door.

"Not to worry…" Edde said as a waiter was sighted with two bags filled walking towards their car, Edde whined down the glass and took his orders as he handed some dollar notes to the waiter and drove into the main road.

Elizabeth sang along to the song on the stereo system as she looked out to the window watching the steady passing houses, Edde constantly stole glances at her and would shake his head having different thoughts about her and what he couldn't wait to do to her, she is all every man would wish for! She is beautiful with a beautiful hourglass figure, her hair was to die for!… Edde had sworn to make her his slut all through the two years contract and promised himself to kill any man that made moves of getting close to Elizabeth.

The ringing and vibration of Edde's phone snapped him out of his fancy world of thoughts as he groaned seeing his father's caller ID which got Elizabeth attention to him as she stared at him Wondering why he'd react in such a manner getting a call from his Dad.

"Hello Dad…" Edde said breathing in to calm his nerves.

"Hey! Edde, how is your day going with your new wife?" Mr Reluc Loxley asked, sounding cheerful over the phone.

"Quite alright Dad, I don't think that should be your worries" Edde replied, reducing his driving speed.

"Oh! Definitely, It is one of my concerns now!… Anyways that's not my reason for calling, I would be coming over in an hour for lunch! At least to see you both before traveling to Spain" Mr Reluc announced as Edde wrinkled his forehead sadly.

"Alright Dad!" Edde mumbled and ended the call now facing Elizabeth who has been stealing curious glances at him "My father is coming over for lunch, do well to control the words that come out of your mouth" Edde warned coldly and increased his driving speed limits which almost got Elizabeth scared.

Edde walked into the sitting room as Elizabeth left him walking ahead to the stairs.

"Welcome home Master" the cook greeted in a bow.

"Has lunch been served?" Edde asked, ignoring her greetings as she nodded.

"Yes sir…"

"Get my Father's lunch too, he is coming over" Edde said climbing the stairs to the room.

Getting to the room he met Elizabeth's eyes focused on her hand device so engrossed in whatever she saw as she smiled widely that she didn't notice his presence, Edde Wondering what possibly could be making her smile that much and he just wanted to ruin it.

"Give me your phone!" Edde said in an authoritative voice stretching his hands towards Elizabeth who hid her phone behind her immediately.

"No Edde, I won't! That wasn't part of the deal, my phone is personal and you don't have the right to invade my private life! By the way the contract rules didn't mention this" Elizabeth replied raising her voice boldly at him.

Edde bit his lips tightly trying his best to avoid Elizabeth's attitude hence his father was coming, he gave Elizabeth who still stood her ground and held her phone tightly behind her a hard warning glare and hissed.

"Apply a nude lipstick on your lips and meet me at the dining room immediately".

Elizabeth fell tiredly to the bed once Edde exited and closed the door, her eyes drifted to the bags lying on the bed which had expensive outfits that cost a lot, she sat up squeezing her still flat belly hard.

"I can't wait to have you out so that I can leave Edde Loxley alone, he isn't healthy for me but… Am I ready to leave you for him?" She mumbled audibly to myself as she took out the nude lipstick from her purse and applied it quickly, grabbed her phone and left the room.

Trailing down the stairs Elizabeth's eyes drifted up to the chandelier which hung up shining brighter than ever, She smiled at her childish thoughts of breaking the shiny stones used in decorating it as she waved off the thoughts keeping an expressionless face on getting to the dining room glass door, she took a deep breath to calm her nerves as she pushed the door open.

"Sir! You're already here!" She muttered in genuine surprise as She took her chance to rather sit by his side to avoid contact with Edde.

"Oh yes sweetheart, you look tired, what's the problem?" Mr Reluc Loxley asked, caressing her palms softly with a worried look on his face.

"Not much problem sir, I and Edde went to get me clothes so… I think that's why" She said, letting out a warm, reassuring smile.

"Oh come on Edde! You should see that your wife is always comfortable! Don't just drive at the highest speed level like a maniac and forget that you have a pregnant wife!" Reluc yelled as Edde ignored him pouring out juice into his glass.

"If Edde makes you uncomfortable in any way whatsoever please do not hesitate to ring my line, I know who my son is and I won't tolerate lies from you Elizabeth, if Edde hurts you report to me" Mr Reluc repeatedly said as I nodded my head at him.

"Thank you so much sir for your kindness, I really appreciate it," I said as he pulled me into a fatherly hug that I always wanted, I never got this care from my father and I still wish I get to meet him once again.

"I will always be at your beck and call Elizabeth dear.." he replied waving at me as he entered the back seat of his Range Rover sport as I waved back at him watching the car retreat out of the compound.

"Now I am left to face Edde" I thought out loud as I headed back into the building.

I entered the bedroom to see Edde pulling off his clothes. My new clothes were no longer on the bed, they were already arranged in the closet, the maids definitely did that while we had lunch with Mr Reluc.

I sighed as I dropped my phone on the center table confused on what to do next. I needed to have a conversation with Edde concerning school and resigning from Barbara's Pizza palace. I missed class today and I am not happy about it at all.

I cleared my throat trying to get his attention which he ignored buttoning his polo shirt.

"Uh…uhm… Edd… Edde we need to talk" I stuttered as he turned to me raising his thick brows at me.

"What's the issue?" He asked coldly, crossing his hands together and staring closely at me, making me gulp the lump that grew in my throat nervously.

"It's about School and work, I missed class today and also I need to officially resign from work…" I said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"That's not a big deal Elizabeth, tomorrow the chauffeur will drive you around so that you can get all of that done, any other issues?" he asked, raising his brows as I sat up taking a deep breath to calm my nervous self down.

"That's not the point Edde, I do not want your chauffeur to go with me please, I need to spend a longer time with Melanie hence we won't be seeing always and I also want to visit my mom" I pleaded. Hopefully he understands.

"Suit yourself Elizabeth" He said and walked out of the room as my eyes shone in Surprise, I didn't expect him to accept that easily.

Thoughts of Amma Castane's reaction when I asked her about Edde's past love life got me thinking and I desperately needed an answer, yes I am not supposed to be bothered at this point but unfortunately I am and it isn't my fault because I will feel so dumb if any woman comes around claiming Edde and embarrasses me.

The way Edde emphasized her dress and all made me feel like he still loves the person and all I want is to meet with the person and probably cut this contract off.

My eyes drifted to my phone which I kept on the table as I picked it to dial Mel's line, she is the only one that can calm me down right now.

"Hey! Etta what's good!?" I heard her cheerful voice from the other end as I suddenly brushed into tears "Elizabeth what's the problem! Did Edde touch you or something?" She muttered worriedly.

"Mel, Edde has a girlfriend!" I said in a cracky voice as she gasped.

"Did he tell you that? Did you see her?" She asked as I sighed deeply.

"I wish …"

I took my time to explain everything to her, how I met Amma Castane and how Edde talked about his anonymous girlfriend.

"That's garbage Etta, Edde can't have a girlfriend, trust me, even if he does, what are you gonna do about it? You both ain't in a real relationship or do you still have feelings for him?" She asked as I took a deep breath of confusion, I don't understand my feelings for Edde anymore.

"Me,l we will see each other in school tomorrow…" I ignored her question and ended the call, just then my phone buzzed again.

clicking on the notification my eyes shone in shock…
