Chapter 37

It's been a long day for me and basically everyone in the Mansion. Tomorrow is Edde's birthday and the house has been busy. The event planner and her workers were all over the place and I couldn't get my Private time.

I walked out of the bathroom after a warm Shower as I saw Edde standing with his eyes peering on his phone, he has been busy all day watching the event planners and he couldn't find time to change into something more comfortable he was still on his night wear and he was obviously occupied with something else on his phone.

"Edde" I said almost in a whisper as I sat in front of the dressing mirror.

"Yeah Betta, get ready we will be leaving to a hotel right away. I already made a reservation," he said in a hurry and threw his phone on the bed.

"Why?" I asked curiously with a shrugged shoulders. "Your birthday is tomorrow and…"

"Elizebeth, quit asking me unnecessary questions! There is a bag in the closet, wear whatever you find in it… I will just go take my bath" he said and turned towards the bathroom.

"I don't think there is a big deal in telling me why we are going to a hotel when we have an event tomorrow and people are flocking around the house right now" I said, raising my brows as he sighed and turned to me.

"Elizabeth, there isn't any big deal indeed, I am just taking you out of here because the house is busy and we need a private time together, we are only staying out for one night! that's it, now go dress up" He said as I nodded "by the way, I have warned you to stop questioning me I fucking hate it and I hate that you don't want to listen I will just…just go dress up" he said in between gnitched teeth and entered the bathroom.

I stood watching his retreating back as I wondered why he said all that to me, I hissed and headed to the closet. Going to a hotel isn't a bad idea at all. The event planner and her workers were literally in every corner of the mansion. Edde really planned a big party.

After dressing into the free black gown Edde got newly for me and a beautiful black slipper I packed my hair in a top knot bun with a little swoop bang, I literally look like a mom and a wife.

I sat on the bed playing a game on my iPhone while waiting for Edde who was taking a lot of time.

"Elizabeth, please give me a few minutes. I will be back or I will call you to come down stairs" he said as I nodded slightly fully focused on the game.

Soon I got fed up with the game after so many failures so I quickly swiped to my contact list and clicked on my mom's number, after a few rings she finally answered.

"Hi Mom" I greeted cheerfully. It's been a while since I spoke to my mom and I really missed speaking to her and seeing her. I miss seeing her even if she isn't a good mom.

"Hi girl, how are you doing?" My mom replied.

"I'm good mum And you?"

"Well, I'm having lots of fun here in Vegas" she said squealing happily as my eyes shone in shock.

"Vegas! Mom! Thought you'd change by now!" I yelled hissing loudly "You're definitely there with some old married man, this isn't a good thing to be heard for the sake of your reputation and mine, you should really stop Courtney Albie"

I usually call her by her full name when I'm advising her or angry at her and yeah, for the reputation part I Know that my mom doesn't have a reputation but… That doesn't mean she should get her life more fucked up.

"Elizabeth, you should really get used to this because I ain't stopping, this is what pays me so I love it. By the way, when was the last time you sent me money for upkeep? I didn't disturb you because I'm working hard!… I think you should appreciate me" my mom said as I sighed, rolling my eyes heavenward, it's always fruitless advising my mom but I won't stop.

"I will send you some cash by evening, take care of yourself Mrs Albie".

"Elizabeth, I think it's high time you stopped calling me Albie, your dad was a fucked up cunt so I can't with his last name" she said making nearly laugh out with the way she expressed herself.

"Bye Mom" I said and hung up immediately as I bit my lips slightly realizing what it meant for me and Edde to spend a night together alone just us, no interruptions by Sadie or anyone! I might luckily get laid tonight!

The door cracked open interrupting my thoughts as I raised my eyes to the door.

"I'm ready, we can go now" he said flashing a smile as I grabbed my bag and headed out leaving him behind. "Elizabeth, is everything ok?" He asked curiously as I shrugged.

"Yes, what?"

"Uhm, well you didn't smile back at me" he replied as I rolled my eyes heavenward and flashed a fake smile.

"Now let's go already".

The drive to the hotel was so long and quiet I was already getting impatient until finally we drove into the hotel building as Edde packed at the lot. Such A beautiful place! I have never seen such nice expensive hotel before made of pour glass that shone like diamonds.

We came down from the car as a middle aged man walked to us almost immediately with a slight smile on his face.

"Welcome to the best hotel in the United kingdom Mr and Mrs Loxley, shall I show you the way to your exclusive room?" He offered politely as Edde nodded.

"What about our bag?" I whispered.

"They will bring it to us, don't worry," he whispered back as we walked behind the man. The interior of the hotel was so classic and every single person inside looked rich too. I can't imagine the amount Edde paid just for us to spend a night out here.

"Edde" I whispered as he turned "this place looks expensive, how much did it cost you?" I asked as we entered inside the elevator.

"Do I have to pay to be in my hotel?" He replied as my mouth fell open in shock.

His hotel!?

Throughout the day all I did was eat all sorts of dishes, Edde made sure that all I craved was provided while he just ate little, I walked over to the balcony and looked down to the beautiful luxury view.

I hissed and sat on the lounge chair exhausted. I have been trying to preoccupy myself with random things but it wasn't working. I didn't expect a night out with Edde to be this boring.

I looked into the room through the glass door and Edde was still on the phone yelling and directing the event planner on his choice of design. I stood from the lounge chair pissed off as I walked back into the room.

I stood by the wall glaring at him scornfully as he raised his eyes to see my pissed off face. "I will call you back" he said and hung up. "What's the issue, do you need anything? I can call the waiters to get you more food" he said as I gnitched my teeth angrily trying hard not to curse him.

"Wait, Edde, what's this night out for? Did we leave home to an expensive hotel just to eat and you make annoying calls!?" I yelled as he made a few steps towards me.

"Elizabeth, we came here because of you! I noticed that you weren't comfortable with how they flocked around the house so I brought you here! I mean…I deserve a thank you Babe" he said and hissed.

Did he just call me babe!? I was screaming internally as I felt his hand around my waist "your belly is so big that I can't even give you a proper hug" he said, making me chuckle softly as I felt his soft lips on my forehead giving me a warm peck.

If only everyday could be like this! I need his full loving attention, not just food and luxury. I felt so relaxed with our closeness that I just wanted to kiss his lips.

"I know what you want Elizebeth but I can't offer you that in this condition you know" he said as I bit my lips lightly.

"Do you have to f*ck your ex? Why don't you hold on until I leave?" I said almost in a whisper as he caressed my waist softly.

The fact that I would be leaving Edde after all these cozy moments is just too absurd, maybe it'd be best I let him do whatever he wants to do hence we ain't married for real.

"Elizabeth, can we skip this discussion please?"

"Is Sadie gonna be at your birthday party?" I asked curiously.

"I don't know, come over to the bed, let me be your masseur".
