Chapter 8

For some reason my legs suddenly couldn't move out of the spot I was standing in, the way he looked at my body was so sinful that I just wished the ground would open and swallow me up at once.

"When you're done drooling over me then you can come in" He snapped at me making me realize that I was indeed drooling! How disgusting and more embarrassing, I should be thinking of how to boss up and approach him like a grown ass lady that I am and here I am fooling myself.

I watched him walk majestically into the entrance which obviously was his office. I signed out of embarrassment as I cleaned the drool in my mouth and on my dress as I hurried towards his office.

Getting to the entrance of the office my mouth fell open in amazement at the sight of such a luxurious office, it looked more like a sitting room than an office, the walls were made of clear glasses, the swivel chairs looked expensive… well no doubt it was.

I couldn't take my eyes off of the luxury I saw in just one office, I can bet that selling our house won't give us half of the money used in furnishing Edde Loxley's office, who knows how outstanding his house would look!

"You still don't want to come in?" He uttered, making me realize that I wasn't alone as I turned to see him sitting like a demi god with his legs placed on the table. The way he looked at me was so bossy, like he had authority over me or something.

I swallowed hard as I rested by the door post with my hands folded across my breasts which were bigger than usual.

"Edde I didn't come here to sit and flirt with you, I ca_came to tell you something very important" I said, stuttering in my words which made me feel like I was failing.

"And what could be so important that you can't even sit and be comfortable at least" Edde said standing from his chair walking towards me with his hands deeply inside his pocket.

The closer he came the more I felt my legs vibrating, I don't know why his presence affects me a lot and it isn't nice!

He stood right in front of me staring into my honey brown eyes as if he owned me, I never noticed he got piercings on his both ears and his eyebrows also a very long beautiful lashes! but today our closeness made me realize all that.

Our closeness made me so uncomfortable that I was suddenly short of words.

"Edde if you don't mind, would you please shift a bit? We are too close and we are sharing the same air" I said softly as he backed off immediately still staring at me waiting for my reply.

"Edde, I'm pregnant" I said bluntly as he gave me a long glare and suddenly smirked.

"What kinda joke is that Elizabeth?" He asked, raising his brows in a frown as I sighed.

"Look Edde, I have got no fucking time to joke with you, this is a serious matter and I don't mind if we go for a DNA test but the fact remains that your seed is in me and you must accept it" I said bluntly as his lips fell open.

Edde was so shocked that he felt like pinching himself back to reality, how could she possibly be pregnant after a one night stand!?…

"Wait…" Edde said walking back to his chair as his mind raced back to the night he spent with Elizabeth "Oh Fuck!" He muttered as he palmed his forehead in frustration remembering that he didn't use a protection on her.

How could he have forgotten? He was just too drunk to think of a condom and he couldn't just wait to live inside his beautiful fan girl!

He raised his head as his shiny black eyes met with the angry eyes of Elizabeth as he sighed deeply, placing his legs on the table.

"So what's the plan now Elizabeth?" He asked blankly as he ran his fingers through his brown messy fringe hair.

"Excuse me Mr, I came here to ask you that… What's your plan for the baby?" She asked back.

"Well, there will be no baby Elizabeth you will have to abort the baby, as you can see I ain't ready to father a child"

"You have to be ready to father a child if you still want to use your dick!" A feminine voice came from the entrance as they both turned to see fury Mel walking in as if she was gonna bring down the building.

"Excuse me?…" Edde exclaimed, turning to Elizabeth who looked frustrated standing by the door as she sighed deeply.

"Oh yes, I am Elizabeth's bestie and I am here to stand for her knowing the kind of man you are, how in God's name will you ask her to abort an innocent child!?" Melanie yelled with fury in her eyes as Elizabeth walked over to her knowing the level of her anger and knowing that she could hurt Edde.

"Mel please go I got this, using violence on him will only make him stubborn and adamant about the situation… please" Elizabeth whispered as Mel gave Edde one last hard glare.

"If he tries anything funny with you don't hesitate to call me, I will be waiting outside for you" Melanie said and left now leaving Elizabeth to face Edde Loxley Who obviously was embarrassed by Mel's attitude.

"Really…?"

"What do you mean, Really?"

"You brought your friend to my company to beat me up or what?… Harass me? Do you know what that alone can cost you? Definitely not money because you have nothing to offer but at least you both could spend a week in jail!" Edde yelled angrily as he stood from his chair walking towards Elizabeth as if he was gonna strangle her.

"What's going on here?"

Edde turned to see his Dad, the last person he ever expected "Dad! You didn't inform anyone about your return and you didn't stay long as you said" Edde said in surprise as he gave Elizabeth signs to leave which she failed to notice.

"Yes I decided to come back unannounced to meet you in your wrong doings and…" He said turning to Elizabeth "I think I caught you, who is this young beautiful woman you're arguing with?" Reluc Loxley said, raising his brows at the uncomfortable looking Elizabeth.

"Welcome back sir and nice meeting you" Elizabeth said as she let out a slight bow which made Reluc smile.

"Hmm… Such a beautiful woman with great manners, Young lady, what is your name?" He said, making some steps towards her.

"I'm… I'm…my name is Elizabeth Albie sir" Elizabeth stuttered with her head bowed slightly.

"Nice name, do you have any problem with Edde? I know that he is a 100% jerk so feel free to complain to me"

"No no Dad, There is no problems" Edde said making a fake smiley face as he glared hard at Elizabeth who rolled her eyes at him

"There is a problem sir!"

"I knew it! Tell me about it dear…or, better still come over for dinner" Reluc Loxley said as Edde's eyes widened in surprise.

"No dad, no need for all that…"

"I will honor your invitation sir, thank you so much" Elizabeth said as she immediately used the exit not without giving Edde a long face.

"Like seriously you will be dining with Reluc Loxley? Omg! I must say, your pregnancy is taking you places Etta'' Mel muttered as her eyes focused on the driveway.

I sighed deeply knowing that I didn't really want to go for the dinner. I am just doing all this for the sake of the baby, Edde obviously doesn't want I and my baby and I seriously regret telling him about it really.

"Melanie you won't understand the emotional trauma I'm going through right now, I don't wish to go for the dinner but I still have to because I want to settle this issue… What if his dad supports him and asks me to terminate my baby, Gosh I really regret telling Edde about this" I said as tears blurred my vision.

"Come on Etta Don't be like that! Come to think of it, only a jackass father will support his sons bad deeds and the Reluc Loxley I have been hearing of can't support Edde trust me"

Mel said, rubbing my laps as she packed at a boutique which got me confused.

"Mel!? You recently got some clothes for yourself. As far as I can remember. What's the reason for shopping again?" I asked as she smirked.

"Don't be silly young woman, we are here for your sake babygirl, you are going for dinner at Reluc Loxley's house and you need to look good… Take it as a dinner date because you're meeting with a very important person" Mel said, turning off the ignition switch.

"Melanie there is no need for all this please! I am fucking going to complain and not to flirt" I said as she came down headed towards my door as she opened it for me.

"I'm sorry but I can't let you go for a dinner looking ratchet… Period! So come down ma'am"

I sighed deeply and stepped out knowing that I can't convince Melanie otherwise.
