Chapter 7

"Excuse me Miss! You can't terminate no baby, what's wrong with you!" Melanie yelled as I sighed, resting my head on my pillow.

Maybe that didn't come out the right way but still I meant what I said, telling Edde is a waste of time.

"Melanie what do you expect me to do right now because I'm confused, we both know that Edde Loxley will reject my baby, he definitely isn't ready for a baby so am I!" I Muttered as I tucked my baby hairs behind my eyes as it obstructs my view.

"You should at least tell him first and know if he will really reject the child, he can find out one day that you were pregnant for him and aborted it, you know what that means?… He can sue you to court" Melanie was making sense anyways

"So now Melanie, what do you have me do!? Keeping this baby means leaving school and forgetting my dreams of being a pharmacist you know how much I want to achieve that dream" I yelled as tears streamed down my cheeks, I was crying again and I hated it I ain't the sadist kind of girl but ever since I met Edde Loxley my life changed drastically, Edde is really a curse to me.

"You don't have to cry babydoll, just let him know first you can still go to school even when you're pregnant we aren't in highschool where you will get mocked so you just have to be strong and never be ashamed or act as so" she said taking a deep breath "You will call Edde tomorrow after class and ask him where you'd meet him, when you get to the meet point pour out your heart to him and don't act weak if not he will use it against you"

The thought of walking upto Edde and telling him that he got me pregnant after a one night stand sounded weirdly crazy to me, I couldn't see myself doing that I might miss my words out of nervousness.

"Alright Mel, gotta rest now"

"And do not think too much please" she added as I nodded while hanging up the phone. I am definitely gonna think a whole lot. I have things to tackle in my mind and how to confront Edde was one of them.

I stood from my bed and sat facing my mirror to see my horrible reflection. Crying too much these past weeks made my eye bags swollen.

The woman I was seeing via the mirror wasn't who I wanted to see, instead of the regular cheerful Elizabeth I knew myself as I saw a mother with a fatherless kid! A single rejected mom that was who I saw in the mirror!.

This was never who I imagined myself as one month ago, one month ago I was that crazy extroverted girl.

I stretched out to my phone ready to delete all the photos of Edde Loxley that possibly got me into this mess, I scanned through my Gallery deleting his pictures until I came across that one picture that broke my heart.

I stared angrily at the photo as tears streamed down my cheeks, it was the photo of I and Edde! that cursed night I met him, I definitely don't want to remember that night ever again so I deleted the picture now leaving my gallery with few pictures of I and Melanie.

I lay back on my bed facing the ceiling as different thoughts ran through my head until I dozed off.

The next morning I woke up quite early, maybe because I had the class in mind and didn't want to miss it for any reason.

I stood from my bed as I reached for my phone seeing 5 missed calls from Mel. I knew that she would be here soon to pick me up for school so I quickly ran into the bathroom to freshen up and get ready quickly.

I hurried down stairs with my mini bag expecting to see breakfast served on the dinning hence my mom seemed a little bit changed this few days but sad enough I got down stairs to see nothing on the dining with the house pin drop silent letting me know that mom isn't around, she must have gone out so early.

I quickly rushed to the fridge to take whatever junk I could find in it, there is no way I am missing breakfast today again.

Soon I heard Melanie's car honk as I rushed out of the building.

"Did you think through what I told you yesterday?" Melanie whispered as we were in class and she obviously couldn't hold the question and wait till the class was over.

"Yes I will call him after class" I replied as she gave that knowing smirk.

"That's the spirit babydoll, don't act weak in front of him just make him know that he has to accept what he put inside of you" she said as I nodded slowly, she made it seem easy with her words but I Know how hard it would be to tell Edde that I am pregnant for him, will he even believe me? Because I'm doubting if I am really pregnant.

I sighed deeply without realizing it as the whole class turned to me.

"Miss Albie, am I not correct? If I'm not, please come and explain better for the class" the lecturer said, making me almost choke up. I didn't even understand a thing they said in the class, talk more of explaining.

I cleared my throat sitting up…

"You're a hundred percent correct ma'am" I replied as she lowered her gaze at me and then turned back to the board.

"Oh fvck that was close!" I Muttered inaudibly now facing the board.

The class was finally over as students chatted out of the class, it was time for me to call Edde Loxley and Melanie's gaze at me was a whole lotta something, there is no way she is letting me skip calling Edde.

"Hey, your phone doesn't bite, type in the number and call him immediately!" She shrugged, clicking bossily at me.

I hesitated as I clicked his number, the ringing sound got my heart beating endlessly. I immediately felt like hanging up but before I could think it through he fvcking answered!

"Hello! Edde Loxley speaking, who is on the line?" His strong masculine voice sent chills down my spine, he was doing a lot to me! How can a guy have all perfection in one… Handsome, great skin, rich, seductive voice_ruthless and cruel.

"Hey say something" Mel whispered as she pinched my cheeks.

"Uhm..uhmm"

"No don't do that, don't stutter on phone be bold Etta" she whispered as I cleared my throat now ready to deal with my anxiety.

"Yeah, Elizabeth Albie on the phone" I said back, sounding as strong as possible.

"Oh the lady who hates luxuries" he said as he gave a short laugh making me roll my eyes heavenward.

"You mean the lady you raped?… Well didn't call for that, where can I meet you right now?" I snapped

"Oh finally she changed her mind, nice one then… Come to my office the address is in the card I dropped for you" he said as I hung up immediately now facing Melanie to see her reaction to Edde's response.

"Hey! Don't give me that look bitchelle just go at once or maybe I should drop you off" Sha snapped at me as I snapped back as we both bursted into laughter.

"Do you think I can face him?" I said facing the window as the steady air blew my virgin curly hair around disrupting my view.

"You're are Elizabeth Albie and you can handle just anything, Edde is just a regular man so it should be easy to get him on his knees"

All these sounded so much easy coming from her mouth thinking of it isn't an easy one talk more of approaching him, I just hope I don't pee on my panties.

"And here we are baby girl, you can do it just go in there and burst his bubbles I will be right here waiting for you" Mel said giving me a reassuring smile as I took a deep breath, hand combed my hair as I made into the magnificent skyscraper… One thing is sure, I am so proud of Edde for handling a company as massive as Briggite over the years without it crashing even when we know how irresponsible he is, maybe that was one of the reasons I liked him.

I stepped into the big hall as I could see working class folks walking to and fro with piles of files, at the left was an escalator and elevator with people going in and out of them.

I hurried towards a blonde fat lady walking past me.

"Hello ma'am, please can you direct me to the C.E.O's office" I said, showing her his business card as she nodded.

"The fourth floor, when you get there you will have to take permission from his P.A" she said as I nodded and went ahead.

The elevator bipped on landing on the fourth floor as I retreated out and lucky enough I sighted a cute little office with a young lady of maybe my age occupying it, she definitely is his P.A.

"Are you looking for me?" I heard that familiar masculine voice as I turned to see Edde Loxley looking smoking hot like always, he wore nothing under his grey suit leaving his outstanding bare chest to choke me up.

"You added so much more weight than the last time I saw you!" Oh Lord! He noticed my weight.
