Chapter 111: The Morning

As I requested, Cameron didn’t ask for me to mate with him. We even slept in different rooms tonight. It might be weird as we had done it so many times, even we had already had our pups. However, I wanted to start our days of a new thing as the official mates regardless it was only an illusion. I still wanted to create a new beginning.

My past life was filled with so many tragedies. The current life was a redemption. I didn’t know if I could be a good Luna for our pack, but with Cameron and our pups, I felt I could do anything. Also, I had Nate, Melanie, and Mimi who supported me. I guessed the Rhos and Mus would help me too in doing my roles. I felt a strong connection with them when they helped prepare my big day.

Ah, also, the Theta and Iotas. Wait, I forgot a few crucial people—my future father-in-law and Elder Tom. I let out a long sigh. Cameron’s father was a person who completely changed his mind toward me. It was drastic, from taking me in prison to accepting me as his daughter-in-law. I couldn’t blame him because when conflict of interest happened, he had to choose. If my position was higher, it might be easier for him to accept me.

Well, the past was the past. I couldn’t change it. The most important thing was that tomorrow would be the start of a happy life. I walked to my twins’ room. They slept already. I smiled to see their calm faces. After kissing their forehead and wrapping their blankets around their tiny bodies, I returned to Cameron’s room.

There were only a few hours left before midnight. I closed my eyes, saying my thanks to the Highest One. It was a long journey and it was almost like an impossible journey from the beginning, because having the second chance was quite rare. Yet, the Highest One pitied us and gave us another chance to find, get to know, and love each other. We were the blessed ones. I couldn’t thank Him enough for this life. Through everything, I could be with the love of my life, and now I even had the precious little ones who held my heart from the first time they came to the world. I hoped I could be the best mother for Gavin and Belle. If the Highest One gave us more pups, I wished to raise them as best as possible.

Sleeping came later. It was like a blink of an eye, but Melanie opened the curtain. Morning greeted me so soon as if I didn’t have sleep.

Mimi shook my shoulder. “Mistress, the Rhos will come soon to prepare you for the big day. You need to have a bath and breakfast first.”

I let out a short sigh, as I still wanted to sleep. But then, I heard the bawls in the next room. I opened my eyes and sat. “My pups! They must be hungry.”

Melanie giggled and sat next to me. “Two Omegas will come soon and help you have our sweet little ones to breastfeed.”

“Who are they?” I asked.

“Our friends from the Omegas’ House: Irene and Julianna.”

I nodded, satisfied with the new Omegas who would help me nurture my twins. Both Omegas were patient and gentle. They also loved pups. So, choosing them as the new nannies for my pups was an excellent choice.

Glancing at Mimi, I asked, “Did you choose them?”

Mimi smiled. “Yes, mistress. I did. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Of course not. I’m glad you chose them. They are great people for the roles.” Then I remembered something. “Since I don’t know how long the ceremony would be, can I pump my milk for emergency use?”

Mimi nodded, opening a small fridge. “Yes, mistress. Our Alpha and Theta contacted me about it. This fridge will store your pumped milk. As we will need to feed the twins, you need to have a bath now, then have your breakfast, and pump the milk.”

Without wasting time, I followed what Mimi had arranged. After taking a bath, I felt fresh and energized. Then I went to the dining room. Cameron wasn’t there.

“Where is Cameron?” I asked Melanie.

“Our Alpha stays in Beta Nate’s house for a few hours until the marking ceremony starts.” Melanie grinned and held my hand. “I guess he wanted to make you feel you started the marking ceremony as a single.” She sighed and smiled. “I don’t know that he is so romantic. The white roses, the sleeping arrangement, and also ….” Melanie shut her mouth with a hand. “Oops! I need to go to the kitchen to get the bottles for your milk.”

I wondered what else Cameron prepared for me. Knowing Melanie well, she must notice something that I didn’t know. But it didn’t matter, as I would find out about it soon. I ate slowly because I wanted to ensure my milk would be nutritious for my pups. Eating slowly would help digestion.

Mimi brought a bottle of pills and put it on the table. “Mistress, it’s a milk booster pills from our Theta. You must drink it three times daily.”

“Thank you, Mimi. Please tell the Theta my thanks.”

Mimi smiled and bowed her head. I read the label. It was a star gooseberry pill. After I finished my breakfast, I drank the star gooseberry pill, then returned to my room. Soon, Irene and Julianna came with my twins. They bowed their heads and smiled.

“Good morning, mistress. Our little ones here need your milk.”

I opened my morning dress, and Irene and Julianna helped to position Gavin and Belle on my breasts. Soon, the pups sucked my breast greedily. I caressed their heads. “They must be hungry.”

Both Omegas smiled. “Yes, mistress. But they are nice pups. They didn’t cry the whole night, only at dawn.”

“Thank you for helping me to take care of my twins.”

Both Irene and Julianna bowed. “It’s our honor to be the nannies of your pups, mistress.”
