Chapter 115: Something in Mind
Cameron let out a heavy sigh again. “Yesterday, I killed Elder Horace. I didn’t plan it, but he attacked me from the side. Bill saw his father die and attacked me too.” He put his chin on my head.
“Did Bill … die too?” I asked, wondering if it’s the reason Nate was so gloomy lately.
“No, I put him in the dungeon. I don’t want to kill him because it will add more heartache for Lisa. However, letting him alive will be dangerous.”
“Why?” I clenched my hand. “He raped me a few times in the past life and turned me into a vampire. In the current life, he tried to rape me again, even he asked our former Elder to pay someone to kidnap me.” Shaking my head, I blew my breath. “If Michael sent me to Bill, for sure Bill would rape me again. He seems to have a distorted idea about love, as he thought loving me was a good reason to rape me. He said it was his expression of love.”
Shuddering because of that, I hugged Cameron more tightly because it was too frightening to think how someone could association love with rape. How could a forced, non-consensual, and overpower physical act to others be the same as love? Bill’s mind was absolutely crazy!
Then I continued my words. “I think he deserves to die. I will kill him by myself.”
Cameron shook his head. “No, don’t do it.” He mindlessly caressed my back. “Yesterday, Lisa was nowhere to be found. I guess Nate’s gloominess is because of that. Considering she is pregnant with their pup, where can she be right now?”
“We can search for her relative’s places. Probably you can ask around in the Hurricane Dawn Pack. Who knows if she hides herself somewhere?”
My mate let out a sigh. “I will talk with Nate tomorrow. Hopefully, he can find her soon.”
I nodded and rested my head on his chest again. Kissing it, I licked his chest, trying to get his attention. Maybe having another mating session would lighten his mood, but Cameron didn’t move.
After a while, he said, “Nate has sacrificed a lot, you know. He deserves happiness too. I feel guilty now that I’m happy, but he is devastated.”
“Don’t worry. Everything will be okay soon.”
Cameron didn’t reply. He only hugged me tightly. Then I tilted my head. “Cameron?”
“Yes, love?”
“What are you thinking?” Rubbing his cheek, I truly wished to lighten his burden.
“Bill … he is like a thorn in my flesh. The best thing is getting rid of him, but I can’t do it by myself.”
“Why not?” I asked.
“Because of my relationship with Nate.” Cameron blew his breath. “As his foster brother, killing Lisa’s father has been a problem enough for Nate. Though it isn’t himself who killed his father, surely it has created a rift in their relationship.” He kept staring at the ceiling. “Now, Bill …. He is a threat to us as long as he is still alive. He can escape and gather his power to attack us.” Then Cameron cupped my face with both hands. “But I’m worried he may attempt to kidnap you again,” he shook his head, “or harm our pups. I can’t rest until he is dead.”
I said nothing, but suddenly, I got an idea. Smiling, I pulled myself to be on top of his body. Then I kissed his lips and helped to ease his mind by giving pleasure to his body. After finished, he grinned and did the same to me. It was a passionate time for us. But after three times of mating, the lure of sleep finally won.
***
Waking up, it was still afternoon. Cameron was still asleep. I kissed his forehead, then went to the bathroom and had a bath. I had a plan I must do today. After choosing a dress, I wore it and walked to the next room to check my pups. They were still sleeping.
“They are wonderful, Luna. They will sleep after we bring them to their beds,” Irene said. “Don’t worry. As soon as they wake up, we will feed them.”
I nodded. “Do you need more milk? I will pump my milk again.”
Julianna bowed her head. “It will be good to prepare more milk, Luna. The twins drink a lot. I think we will see them growing bigger soon.”
I smiled to see them sleep well. Bending my head, I kissed their forehead and left the room. After pumping my milk, I asked Irene to place the milk in the fridge. Then I called Mimi through my mind link. She came in no time.
“Luna, how are you today?” she grinned, calling me Luna for the first time.
“I’m good!” Glancing at my sleeping mate, I grinned. “Let’s talk downstairs.”
Mimi and I walked to the living room. “Mimi, I need you to call Melanie. I have something to talk about with her.”
“Sure, Luna. She is in the kitchen.” Mimi left me soon.
Melanie grinned when she saw me. She hugged me and said, “Luna, you are beaming! Mating undoubtedly has a good effect on you.”
I giggled, as she knew Cameron and me so well. “Thanks, Mel. Please call me Anna as you used to be.”
She shook her head. “Though you are my best friend and will remain that way, you are my Luna now. It would be quite disrespectful if I called you with only your name.”
“Okay, then. I have something in mind. I wonder if you can help me.”
“Sure! What is it?”
Melanie listened to what I said. Her eyes widened, but then she nodded firmly. “I’ll do it!”
“You sure?”
“Yes, it’s easy. Besides, after what you have done for me, it’s the least I can do to pay for your love, support, and friendship.”
I took a deep breath. “Be careful, Mel. Please let me know when you are done.”
Melanie nodded and left the living room. I went back to the bedroom. Cameron was still asleep, so I lay next to him. Unexpectedly, he bit my shoulder and turned my body. I laughed to see his grinning face.
“Round four?”
