Chapter 77: The Punishment

What would it be? Could Cameron exile Mimi and send her away from our pack? I shook my head and held Cameron’s hand.

“Alpha, Mimi protected me when Luna Lisa wanted to hurt me. Please don’t give her a big punishment,” I pleaded with Cameron.

“What happened?” Cameron held my hand.

“Lisa wanted to ruin my face with a cutter. Yet Mimi stopped Lisa and offered herself to be harmed instead of me.” I gulped, recalling what had happened in the Hurricane Dawn Pack. “Mimi selflessly protected me while she was fully aware it would give her a huge disadvantage, as Lisa trusted her already.” I bit my lower lip, as I suddenly felt overwhelmed. “If it wasn’t because of her, maybe my face would be wounded.”

“I see.” He stared at Mimi. “Thank you for protecting Anna.”

“It’s my duty, Alpha. Anna is one of the Omegas under my protection. It’s my false judgment that put her in danger. I was wrong and ready to accept the punishment,” Mimi said.

“Yes, you were wrong, but if we want to find someone to blame, I’m the one who must take the most responsibility.”

Mimi and I shook at the same time. “How?” I blurted it out. “You didn’t make any mistake.”

“I did. Because I accepted Lisa as my mate, I placed you and Mimi in danger.” Cameron then said, “Will you forgive me?”

“You didn’t make any mistakes,” I repeated my words. “There’s nothing I should forgive you for.”

“You are my mate, but I failed to protect you. It’s only by luck, you were saved. Otherwise, you would experience the same thing before.” He gulped and closed his eyes. “I should have rejected my father’s request, but I couldn’t. As a leader, it’s my duty to protect my people, and I failed.”

“But you had no choice. I understand why you did it, and I didn’t blame you for that.” Taking Cameron’s hand and brought it to my face, I kissed his palm and touched it to my cheek. “I’m content as your mistress. I accepted my position as it’s something beyond our control.”

Then Cameron opened his eyes. He took a deep breath, then said, “Mimi, your punishment is to humble yourself and serve someone lower than you. Do you accept it?”

“Who must I serve, Alpha?” Mimi asked. Then she glanced at me. “Is it Mistress Anna?” She smiled and bent her head.

“Yes. What do you think?” Cameron asked again.

“Then I accept it gladly. It’s not a punishment, but an honor for me to serve her. She will be the mother of our Alpha’s pup. So her position is not below me, but higher than me.”

Cameron grinned. “You are smart.” Then he caressed my fingers. “Do you accept Mimi as your maid?”

“But Psi Mimi’s position is higher than mine. How can a Psi serve an Omega?” I protested. “It will create chaos in our pack. The rank, the hierarchy, and the role have maintained harmony within the pack. It’s impossible for my superior to serve me.”

“No worries. Tomorrow, surely our Elders will throw a meeting and discuss everything. I will give them satisfying answers, including to your question today.” Cameron kissed my knuckles. “I want you and Mimi to come with me tomorrow. Both of you were the victims, and Mimi was the eyewitness of what happened today.”

Mimi bent her body and touched her head to the floor. “Thank you so much for the honor, Alpha. I can’t wait to testify about what has happened today. I’m sure the Elders will understand.” Then she glanced at me. “Mistress, do you want to take a bath? I will prepare your water first.”

I glanced at Cameron. He only smiled at me. I was torn as I wanted to have a bath, but I didn’t want Mimi to serve me. Yet, if I refused her offer to serve me, I would be ungrateful and impolite to her.

“Sure, Mimi. Please help Mistress Anna,” Cameron said.

“Yes, Alpha. I will let you know when the water is ready, mistress.” Mimi smiled and bowed her head at me.

After Mimi left the dining room, I pouted. “Why did you place Mimi to serve me? It’ll create confusion within the pack.”

“My love, trust me. You only need to be patient and wait for tomorrow. Everything will be clear tomorrow.”

“But—”

Cameron stopped my words by kissing my lips. He nibbled my lower lip, then sucked it. I sighed contently, as it was a while since we had physical contact like this. I clung to his neck and kissed him enthusiastically. He pushed his tongue and played with my tongue. I sat on his lap and rubbed my bottom to his groin.

Then he groaned and kissed my neck. He sucked it, and his hand traveled to my orb. Massaging my mound, it was me who moaned this time. Cameron grinned and opened my buttons, but then Mimi entered the dining room.

She coughed and walked back to the door. Knocking the door hard, she announced, “The water is ready, mistress. Unless you need more time.”

I blushed and stood immediately. “No, I will take a bath right now. Thanks for preparing the water for me. Have a good rest.”

“Thank you, mistress.” Then she winked at me. When I approached her, she whispered, “Mistress, I pray you will have a happy life with our Alpha. You deserve it and more.”

I was speechless. I put my hand on my chest and almost shed my tears. Pregnancy made me emotional. That was when I suddenly felt dizzy. I closed my eyes, wishing the headache would go away.

“Let me accompany you to the bathroom.” Mimi held my hand and helped me walk to the bathroom. She even helped me to undress.

“Thank you so much. I’m sorry you must serve me. I will talk to Cameron later.”

But Mimi shook her head and smiled. “No need, mistress. I’m happy to serve you. If you don’t hate me, please let me keep serving you. It will be my joy and honor to serve you.”

I couldn’t say anything, and Mimi scrubbed my back as I soaped my body. When I finished with my bath, Mimi dried my body with a wide towel and helped me put on my sleeping dress. Only when I was on the bed, she finally let me go and left the room.
