Chapter 98: Another Surprise

A young woman sat on the couch. When she saw me, the woman stood and bowed her head. “Miss Anna, it’s an honor to meet you. No wonder our Alpha chose you.” She smiled. “You are so beautiful!”

“Oh, you are too kind. Please have a seat.” I sat on the couch next to her.

“I got a message for you. Here you go.” The young woman gave me a pink envelope sealed with a heart shape.

I grinned and opened the seal. There was a piece of card with a heart shape too inside. I pulled the card from the envelope and read the message. ‘Please dress well, my mate. I will wait for you at the Moon bridge today at 3 p.m. Go alone because I have a surprise for you.’ It was two hours from now and Moon Bridge wasn’t too far from here. I smiled and placed the card on my chest. “Did Cameron say anything when he gave you this?”

“Uh, I didn’t accept the envelope directly from our Alpha, miss. But the messenger said it was from our Alpha for you. I only sent it to you.”

I nodded. “I understand. Thank you for delivering it to me.”

The young woman stood and bowed her head again. “It’s my utmost pleasure, miss. As you will be our Luna in two days to come, I can’t wait to serve our Alpha and you more in the future.”

I walked with the young woman to the front door. She bowed her head once again, smiled at me, and then left. Why must Cameron be so mysterious like that? I took a deep breath and glanced at the clock on the wall. I would take a quick shower and then I would dress up and wear the diamond Cameron sent me earlier.

Mimi found me smiling as I planned what I would do. “Mistress, did the messenger leave already?”

“Yes. Cameron asked me to have a rendezvous elsewhere. Now, you must help me! I have little time to dress up. Please choose a pretty dress for me while I will have a shower. I will choose the necklace he sent me earlier.”

“Ah, a secret date! I know it!” Mimi clapped her hands and giggled. “Oh, wow! Our Alpha is such a romantic guy!”

“Yes!” I giggled too. We were like two teenagers instead of adult women, but I didn’t care. ”I never knew he would ask me for a date! Please choose a simple and comfortable to wear dress because I don’t know where he will bring me afterward.”

“Where will you meet him?” Mimi asked.

I shook my head and grinned. “It’s a secret! If I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret anymore.”

“Okay, then. Go to the bathroom now. Otherwise, you may be late.”

I almost ran to the bathroom. But my pup kicked my belly hard as if they reminded me not to rush. I giggled and caressed my stomach. “Yes, sweetheart. Mommy knows. I will be careful.”

I had a shower and took my time to rinse my hair with rose fragrant shampoo. Cameron loved the rose fragrant, so I wanted him to enjoy it when we dated later. Mimi gasped when she saw how wet my hair was. Immediately, she opened a drawer and took a hair dryer. Afterward, she patted a chair and asked me to sit there with no words.

I followed what she asked and sat there. She combed my hair with a loose tooth comb. Then she dried my hair and styled it to create a bun. But she left the hair on my right and left sides to form curls. Without stopping, Mimi powdered my face and put a makeup on my face too. Then, she brought the necklace box I left on the living room table.

“Ah, I forgot it! Thanks, Mimi!”

“Let me help you wear it.” She unclasped the necklace and wore it around my neck, then locked the clasp tightly. “You look wonderful!” Then she gave me a hand mirror.

I looked at myself in the mirror, and yes, I agreed. I looked beautiful. The necklace made my neck more slender as the diamond design was teardrops shape.

“Hurry, mistress, the dress!” Mimi said, carrying the dress. She had already opened the zipper in the back of the dress.

I put it on. The white dress complemented the diamond necklace well. I sighed, satisfied with what I saw, and couldn’t wait to meet Cameron. I was sure he would like how I looked right now.

The next problem was the secrecy. As Cameron asked me to meet him alone, how could I go to the Moon Bridge? After thinking for a while, I finally asked Mimi. “Can you ask the driver to send me somewhere?”

“Sure, mistress!”

I took the time to put on white flat shoes. After my pregnancy, I stopped wearing high heels because of the worry I would slip. After my miscarriage in the past life, I would do anything to protect my pup. I would even guard my pup with my life and wouldn’t repeat the same mistake.

Mimi came after five minutes. The driver was waiting for me outside. After seeing me, he bowed his body and opened the back door of the limousine for me. I got inside and waved at Mimi. “Don’t miss me, Mimi.”

She giggled and waved back. “I’ll try, mistress! Have a good time!”

The driver closed the door. After sitting behind the wheel, he asked, “Where will we go, Miss Anna?”

“The Moon Bridge. But after I arrive there, you can return here. Cameron will send me home.”

The driver nodded. “Understand, miss.”

Then I leaned my back and enjoyed the scenery. But somehow I wondered, could Cameron finish the meeting soon? He must plan everything before Bill’s threat. What would I do if he was late? I took a deep breath and shook my head. I would think about it later. Who knew if he was already there, waiting for me? Besides, I had never had a date with him in the past life. It would be our first date, and I wouldn’t let any negative thoughts rob me of the joy.
