11 ~ Alpha's Need
Ryan POV
“I need you, Princess,”
And I really mean it. Knowing about her from my secret informer, I could see a ray of hope in her.
She was born and brought up by the most powerful witch, her grandmother. And, I wanted her to break the curse that Moon Goddess gave me. The war was close and our army was still unprepared and this curse was our biggest weakness.
I needed to break it.
She thinned her eyebrows and shook her head lightly while saying.
“I didn't get you,”
I took a deep breath as I realised she needed time to process everything. But, I wanted this by hook or by crook.
“Do you know where your grandmother’s book is now?”
I asked as we had our witches too but they were not that much trained for doing it. The Moon Goddess curse was something brutal and powerful to break. She was the werewolves goddess and somehow had the ability to increase or decrease our powers. And, that book might help them to increase their knowledge and power so that they could break the curse.
“I don't know,” She said with a trembling voice.
“Try remembering it,” I begged a little.
She closed her eyes and sucked on her lips a little. Blinking confusingly, she informed me.
“She gave me that book and I kept it safely in my Chamber,” She took a pause and continued.
“She even taught me more than half of the tricks but my focus and retention was very weak at the tender of twelve and thirteen,” She sucked on her lips.
“And then, I hid that book somewhere because she asked me to prot…”
She stopped all of sudden and took a step back in fear.
“You can't use it. Its precious,”
She yelled at me and turned to run.
I ran after her and before she could open the door and leave, I held her wrists and pushed her against the door.
“You have to do that for me,” I said in a stiff voice.
“Not for you, not for anyone. I will not become a witch,”
She said, her eyes turned teary.
“Then you will become something else. You know what I mean,” I Challenged her. My eyes darted into hers. Her heart beats fast and cheeks get red. I could clearly see my affect on her body and breathing.
“Make whatever you want me to make. But, not a witch, I will never let anyone use that sacred magic for personal use, and never in my worst dream for a selfish person like you. You kill people for your benefit. You are a demon,” She cried. Her eyes fuming with anger and fire. Her body was turning hot. I could feel an increase in her power and potential. Her Bright skin shined even more in anger.
And that's what I wanted. Her awakening. She was the one I was searching for the last eight years. The daughter of the most powerful witch. Because, she could break the spell of curse. But, the normal life and emotions had weakened her powers. Or maybe she didn't know that she owns powers.
“Trust me, Cass, you will regret your lines. I am offering you the easiest thing. Find that book, finish your knowledge and work for me,” I stated.
“Never, YOU CANNOT BREAK ME,” She challenged me back.
“I will definitely,” I started leaning in closer to her.
Her body shivered under me. The more I got closer, her anger calmed and her breathing slowed down. She looked softly at me.
No wonder, I was feeling a soft corner for her. Now and then, I wanted to push her on the bed and teach her a good lesson but looking at her face and those blue eyes, I melted.
I left her in a jerk as I felt an increase in my heart beats too.
What the hell is happening to me?
She quickly opened the door and before I could catch her, she ran.
I didn't know why I was feeling like that for her. I had to break her and use her to break my curse but whenever I tried to increase my fear in her, I melted down. The same happened in the morning. I wanted to be rough with her but I ended up pleasing her.
I ran my fingers absentmindedly in my hairs as all my efforts were feeling like going into vain. Eight years of hard work and sacrifice to find that girl and now I was becoming weak. When I got her, I was becoming a coward.
Why the hell I couldn't force myself on her. Why the hell I was so unable to raise my fear in her.
I wanted it so badly but this stupid attraction was killing everything.
I closed my eyes as I could feel myself so much disturbed. The only girl I had to break, was breaking me unknowingly.
I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down.
I had to have control over my feelings and emotions otherwise all this hard work would go into vain.
But, still I didn't know how I was supposed to make her learn that and work for me. She was already hard to pursue and it was impossible to do when I had an attraction towards her. There was no chance that I would be able to control my burning desires for a long time.
Wait!!!
She was sensitive to my touch.
I stood up from the couch all of sudden. I remembered how her fuming anger calms down whenever I get close to her. That also happened in the morning. She gave in to me so easily when I seduced her.
A slight smile appeared on my face.
I knew how to make her do that.
*Knock*
*Knock*
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in,”
I said and the door pushed open.
Lucas entered and seemed tense.
“Ryan, we are in a deep trouble,”
“What happened?”
I asked, thinning my eyebrows.
“Our secret messengers have sent the letters that the Firearm pack has joined hands with Moon Pack. They want their Alpha to be crowned as the Alpha of the Alpha. And for that they have to make you lose. They are preparing for a war,”
My forehead instantly imprinted tensions as without my powers I was nothing. And, in no conditions I wanted to pass on the Crown to anyone else. I was the powerful Alpha and I would always be it.
“How much time do we have?”
I asked with concern.
“Hardly one two months,”
He informed.
My attention again diverted to Cassandra. Because, I could get relief off this curse only after eighty years or a Kiss of Love by my mate.
In no condition, I could wait for eighty years and damn my mate. God knew where she was and I couldn't even find her. Because, I couldn’t feel the fucking sparks. In the past years, I have met more than eight hundred women but no one of them felt spark for me. So, I had to reject all of them. God knew if Moon Goddess had chosen anyone for me or not.
“I will do something, don't worry,”
My concern for losing the title wasn't just about me but my pack members. Because, when a pack loses, the winning one chains all the losers as their slaves and in no conditions I could see my people suffering.
Lucas went back after increasing my tensions over the limits.
I sat back on the couch thinking of the ways.
The only way that seems right and possible was her now.
I called an attendee and asked her to call Cassandra.
It was simple or my way, but I wanted the result.
I waited in my chamber for her while penning down my war strategy.
The noon came at night but she didn't come back.
I asked an attendee to call her again but she said that she couldn't find her anywhere.
My eyebrows thinned in a line.
I hope, she didn't try to do anything stupid.
Suddenly, an attendee showed up. Her heartbeat was racing and huffing for breath.
"My Lord,"
She tried to breathe.
"My Lord, Cassandra is bleeding badly,"
