KAMILAH’S POV
The fresh and cool breeze of air wrapped around me. Fluttering my eyes open, I got the best sleep I ever had in my life in his arms. This has been very surprising for me as I have always been tense around him in the past, but now…it’s different.

I glanced around to see I was in my own room now. He must have carried me to my room…and beside me…was empty. After staying in his bed for a week, this is the first time I got out of his room. It felt strange to be in my own room now…
I bit my lip, thinking about it. Getting up and preparing for the day, I saw a tray of food on the bedside table carefully prepared by him. I went to it and saw a handwritten note written on a yellow pad paper and black ink.
I know you’ll wake up by lunch so eat this, beautiful. I’ll be in my office - Magnus
I smiled at the way his handwriting looks on the paper. The food is also cold now but I ate it without hesitation.
But then, the door opened and a grinning Gusev appeared. “After two days, you’re finally out.”
I looked at him, “I’m surprised Magnus still left you alive.”
He smiled, “Well, I’m his best friend, he can’t just kill me…So, how’s your honeymoon phase?”
“What honeymoon phase?” I acted innocently.
“Don’t bother hiding it, your face says it all.” He said, teasing me. He then pets Lumiere from the corner.
“And update, we’re buddies too!” Gusev said as Lumiere went closer to him.
I gave him a look, “You tamed him? Good job.”
He beamed at me, “Yeah, since I was the one who fed him to stay alive while her owner had the TIME of her life.” He said purposely, emphasizing the time.
“I’ll buy another pet that will drive Gusev away.” I felt Magnus saying from the back, kissing my temple and Gusev scrunched his nose in disgust, watching his action.
“Ew. I think I’ll die because of the sweetness of you two.” Standing up, he went to the door, “I’ll leave now, I have work to do.”
As soon as Gusev left, Magnus leaned into me and whispered to my ears, “Let’s go to my room.”
I rolled my eyes, knowing what exactly would happen the moment we went to that place. “C’mon, haven’t you had enough?”
He pouted, “Please, baby?”
I was about to reply when Magnus' ears perked up.
“What’s happening?” I asked and he shook his head.
“Dimitri just sent me a message. We’ll have a visitor.”
I gave him a look, “Who?”
He shrugged, “An old friend of mine.”
My phone then rang, and I opened it to see it was Dimitri. Magnus’s expression stopped, “Don’t answer it.”
But I did answer it even against his wishes. “Hello, what’s wrong, Dimitri?”
“Can you ask Alpha Magnus to follow my request? His guest is waiting here outside the borders.”
I glanced at Magnus who was crossing his arms in front of him. “What request? That guest has paws and fangs, he can perfectly come here on his own.”
I could hear Dimitri’s stress as he sighed from the phone call, “See? He’s always like that! Ignoring the important etiquette! The Alpha of the pack should always welcome the important guests but here am I, doing it for him! Please convince him to come here now, Kamilah.”
“Tell me who that guest is,” I asked, still giving a weird look on Magnus. Who makes him feel like this?
“It’s Lycan King Ace.”
As soon as Dimitri said that, I gasped and yelled at Magnus, so it really was an important person!
I smirked, he could be a big help to us for us to kill Druscilla.
I dropped the call and gave a lopsided grin to Magnus, “Looks like you really made an important friend, Magnus. Come on, we need to greet him according to the norms.”
Magnus stomped on his feet stubbornly, “Why did he come here anyway..”
After a few pleas and cooes, I managed to convince Magnus to go to where Dimitri was and we run fast to get nearer.
After nearing the borders, I sniffed the air and smelled an unknown and strange scent. Strange scent but commanding aura. Just like Magnus.
I could see the sweat on Dimitri’s forehead leaving as soon as we arrived at the place.
Standing face to face with the tall and brooding man in front of us, I watched as his serious and stoned face changed into a small smile as he greeted, “Magnus.”
He has a dark emerald eye with his raven hair. He stood the same height as Magnus as they face eye to eye. Tall, brooding, masculine as his tanned skin glowed in the sunlight, his thin white shirt almost hiding his six-pack abs and hard muscles. He has two of his men behind him, the same height as Dimitri but looked also intimidating like their alpha.
Magnus scoffed, “Why did you come here?”
Dimitri’s eyes widened and signaled me. I lightly hit Magnus in the ribs and he let out a strangled noise and cleared his throat to cover it
The Lycan King smirked, “Aren’t you going to greet your old friend?”
Magnus crossed his arms in front of him and snorted, “You just go here every time there’s trouble”.
Lycan King Ace released a chuckle, “Right. Let’s end this little chitchat and get to the reason why I am visiting today. Because there is. I heard the news, and I have a different reason.”
Lycan King glanced at me, looking at me up and down and I stood my ground, not even intimidated by him.
Dimitri offered to let them settle in the pack first before directing them to Magnus' office to have a meeting.
Before going inside, Magnus and Dimitri pulled me to have a little conversation. “I hate the way he stares at you.”
I rolled my eyes, “Are you jealous?”
Dimitri pushed Magnus’s head, “This is not time for that. If you need a victory, we need the Lycan King to our side. I already arranged the documents that you planned out.”
Magnus cocked his head to the side, “Oh? I changed my mind. We can handle it without him.”
Dimitri sighed, “Alphas and their pride. Just do this for Kamilah, will you?”
I nodded, looking at Magnus.
He bit his lip, contemplating until he gave in, Fine.”
Smiling in victory, Dimitri high-fived me and started to enter Magnus's Office.
I decided to join in as this was also a bit about me. Lycan King glanced at me, which is the first time he did the entire time.
He offered a polite smile, “So you’re Kamilah, Magnus’s mate.”
I nodded, not even bother high to deny it. Guess my popularity is increasing so much these days. Good job, Druscilla.
“I believe I am, Lycan King,” I answered.
“Call me Ace. Lycan King is too long.” He offered and I nodded.
“Alright, Ace.”
I could sense Magnus glaring at him and cleared his throat, “Speak, Ace.”
The Lycan King turned to him. “My area, Europe, has been wreaking havoc. I noticed something strange going in. I came here today to inform you about the werewolves smuggling the werewolf steroids, under Druscilla’s men. They seem to be so keen on eradicating you two.”
