Chapter 17 Fairy Tribe Lands

Luther POV

"Laura!" I scream as I look around the room frantically. The window is open, and there is blood on the window. Emily runs into the room. She goes straight to the window she touches the blood on the window.

"This is Laura's blood; this is not good for her," Emily says.

I hit the wall in anger and growl loudly. Ando and my brothers finally make it into the room with Emily and me.

"Where is she?" Silas asks.

I look at him for asking such a stupid question.

"They took her, you idiot!" I SCREAM AT HIM!

I run out of the room, with Ando on my heels.

"We will get her back," Ando says as he follows me out of the house. The fairies are outside, mourning the loss of the council members. Those lying pieces of shit probably got what they deserved in reality.

The fairies run up to me as I come out. "We need to see our Queen," the fairies start demanding. I look over at Silas.

"You handle this while we go get her," I say to Silas.

Silas begins to try to cover for Laura and the fact she is missing. Surely he can handle this just while we look for her. Ando, Emily, and Drake follow me to the truck.

The four of us get into the truck. "Where are we going?" Ando asks.

"Asks her," I say, pointing at Emily.

Emily smiles. "You decide to trust me?" she asks.

"I have no choice, do I?" I ask her.

"We are going back to the fairy tribe lands. Your mother is there," Emily answers me.

"Why in the hell did she go there?" I ask.

"Because she wants the fairies to pay for hurting her," Emily answers.

"Why did she take Laura?" I ask.

Emily looks at me strangely. She does not answer. She just stares at me then clears her throat.

"What did you tell her that scared her so bad?" I ask Emily.

Emily stares straight ahead. I grab her arm. "I asked you what you said to her!" I growl!

"That is for her to tell, not me, Alpha," Emily says.

"She is my wife, and I want to know!" I growl!

Emily pulls away from me. "You can bully me all you want, but I will not tell you. That is for her to tell you, not me, Alpha. I will not break her trust. I promised her I would not say anything," Emily says to me.

I let go of Emily's arm. Drake looks at me for shoving his girlfriend, but he knows better than to challenge me. I would not hurt her. I only want her to tell me what is going on with my wife.

Ando parks the truck on the edge of the fairy tribe lands. The four of ass get out of the truck. Drake comes over to me. "You do not have to mistreat people, and she will help you. All you have to do is ask," Drake says to me.

Drake is right. I should not have touched Emily. I am upset, and I only want to know why Laura is so afraid. Ando walks in front of us. Emily and Drake walk behind us. I look back and them. They do seem to be in love with each other. I thought this relationship was funny at first. I have never known of Drake to really care about anyone, but he seems to really care for Emily.

Emily smiles at me when she sees me watching them. She says something to Drake and then runs ahead of him to catch up with me. "Do you really want to know what is going on with Laura?" Emily asks.

" Yes, I do, " I answer.

"Even if it means missing out on something special?" she asks.

What does that mean? " I only want to know why she is so afraid," I answer her.

"Look, Alpha, I know you love her. I saw something when I first walked into the cabin. I told her what I saw for her. It is not that she is afraid it is just that she is anxious. She has a big secret to tell you, and you should wait and let her tell you. I do not want to break her trust, so do not force me to, " Emily says.

I shake my head that I understand. Emily stops so Drake can catch up with her. I keep walking behind Ando. I hope my mother does not do anything stupid. She has already done plenty of stupid shit over the last few days. I only hope she does not kill the woman I love.

I see a small stone house with a light or something burning. It seems to be occupied. I look back to Emily. "Is that where she is?" I ask her.

Emily nods her head. "Yes," she says.

Ando looks back at us and acknowledges that is where we are headed. The four of us change our direction slightly so we can cross over into the high grass and come up from the back.

We walk past the grassy area where I would meet Laura when we were sneaking around. Those days were so special to her and me. I would come to see her as much as I could. I loved every moment I had with her. I knew I loved her the first time I saw her at the edge of the tribe lands. The scared fairy princess that is now my bride. I cannot lose her, not to anyone. I will kill anyone, even my mother, if they try to harm her.

"What is that lying in the grass?" Drake says, noticing something toward the end of the grassy area.

"NO!" Emily exclaims.

"It is a body," Ando says as we move forward. Emily turns to look away.

"I cannot look," Emily says. Emily turns her head into Drake and begins to cry.

I run toward the body with Ando. Ando shakes his head and stomps the ground. He lets out a growl that I am sure the pack can hear. He drops to his knees as I make it to him.

"Father," I growl. I hit the ground beside Ando. I touch Ando's shoulder. I know this is hard for him. My father always loved him. My father was fond of all of the brothers, but Ando was his favorite.

Drake makes it to the body. Emily stays behind. She is crying and distraught. I look down at the cabin. She killed him and left him here for me to find. She has my wife. She will kill her too if I do not hurry.

"I am going to get my wife before she kills her too," I say to Ando and Drake.

"I am coming with you. She has to pay for this," Drake says.

"Me too," Ando says.

Emily collects herself. "I will find something to wrap him with from one of the cottages. Be careful," Emily says. She kisses Drake.

The three of us walk toward the cabin to kill my mother and her hybrid son. Most importantly we are going to rescue Laura.
