"What the hell was that, please?" I breathed, frantically starting to clean up the entire basement so Gloria wouldn't get a shock when she entered her home.
My hands kept shaking uncontrollably and I slowly realized that I would probably never see her again. Even if this alpha didn't get me, I still had to run away forever and this realization suddenly hurt me so much that I tried desperately to hold back my tears, but I only managed halfway.
Sobbing, I packed the rest of the things in the kitchen neatly into the cupboards provided for them, only to then make my way to my room in a panic to pack my most important things in a hurry. Among them were clothes, my books, and some photos of Gloria, Pasqua, and me, which I looked at wistfully before stuffing them into my black holdall.
After I had everything neatly stowed away, I ran to my desk and sobbed a piece of paper from my pad.
Nothing is as it seems. I'm fine, but I had to go. I always knew this day would come and yet, it breaks my heart.
See you again
Aria
Thank you for everything!
I felt the tears running down my cheeks incessantly, but ignored them and quickly put the note on my bed to walk back into the living room with the travel bag on my shoulder, taking a good look around one last time...
It was so dated and I had never really liked it, but now that I know I'll probably never see it again, it became beautiful and unique to me...
It's funny how people feel in certain situations...
One last deep breath with my eyes closed, Gloria's familiar scent wafting deep into my consciousness and I turned my back on my home and ran in tears to my scooter, which was probably the only thing that would stay with me.
Bag tied around my back, I sat on my rollers and started it up, but when I tried to accelerate I couldn't make any progress, which made me switch it off in amazement.
I checked the gauges and suddenly, with goosebumps on my arms, I felt that this guy was behind me again.
I jumped off my scooter excitedly and turned around to where Mister Unknown had one hand on my scooter and was grinning at me with a lopsided smile.
"That wasn't the deal," he said coolly, crossing his tattooed arms while I found my voice again after a short speechlessness and reacted rather irritably.
"There's no deal between us and now get off my scooter!" I snarled, trying to sound as menacing as possible, but my anger only seemed to amuse him more.
"Oh, Aria," he laughed and wanted to take a step towards me, but I immediately pushed him away from me so that he stumbled slightly and looked at me in bewilderment.
"That's enough!" he suddenly growled menacingly, but his growl made my heart pound in panic and even my wolf howled submissively in my head. She'd already given herself to him because, as everyone knew, you couldn't argue with an Alpha, but I had different views on that.
"Oh, no! It's probably not enough, otherwise you would leave me alone and disappear!" I retorted, head held high, without showing an ounce of weakness.
He was not at all deterred, eyed me with his head slightly tilted and fixed my eyes with his so intensely that I automatically stopped breathing. There was a feeling that came between us so unexpectedly that I could hardly stop it until I pulled away from his dark eyes and took a deep breath.
"Please just go," I whimpered, realizing that a fight would have been completely pointless. Maybe I had to hope for his pity...
"I can't and I don't want to," he said without expression in his voice and came towards me again. "You are my mate," he whispered in my ear, grabbing a strand of my black hair. "And so flawlessly beautiful."
He sniffed me, letting his wolfish instincts run wild, and while my heart pounded painfully in my throat, my closeness seemed to arouse him deeply, as I could almost feel the vibrations of his body trembling with pleasure.
When he suddenly put his lips on my neck, I fought back and growled to push him away from me again.
"Find another mate!!" I yelled at him, trying to get past the pretty boy, but without warning he just grabbed my waist and threw me over his shoulder, making me thrash desperately and as hard as I could fidgeting.
"You're making me the most powerful alpha in the world," I heard him say and shortly afterwards felt his hand on my butt, which made me growl loudly again. "And still so stubborn and stubborn. It will be fun."
He laughed and when we got to a car further down the road he parked me for a moment and opened the trunk then gave me an expectant look.
"In there, pretty," he grinned and I looked up at him from the open trunk, stunned.
"Do you have a bird?" I asked seriously and suddenly he grabbed my chin and I panicked at that moment.
"Learn where your place is," he whispered, biting my cheek lightly, which suddenly made me feel more than aroused.
That couldn't be true!
When he suddenly took a deep breath and looked me straight in the eye, I knew he could smell my excitement and I thought there was never a moment I hated my body more than I do now.
"Okay," he said suddenly, and he closed the trunk of the silver Mercedes again. "If you seem to like being around me that much, then you can sit in the front."
Jackpot! Eventually he would have to stop at some traffic light and I could just run away and call for help.
Knowing this, I smiled and ran to the passenger door and opened it to let myself fall onto the seat, but my cocky grin faded when I suddenly felt something cold on my wrist and looked over at him in shock.
"What are you doing?" I hissed and jerked at the handcuff, the second part of which was attached to his wrist.
"So you can learn that your life only happens at my side."
Stupid handsome asshole!!!
