"Aria," I heard Keno whisper in disbelief and my feet quickly carried me to him, where I immediately jumped into his strong arms and had to start crying.
"I'm so sorry I left!" I sobbed into the crook of his neck and at that moment I was quite sure that I would never leave him again.
"And I'm sorry for giving you the reasons why," he breathed, his voice shaking, and he held me tight to his chest, kissing my cheek lightly.
"I don't like to bother you," Jamal tore us out of our togetherness and while I looked over at him with tears in my eyes, I noticed for myself how more and more smoke filled the entrance area and the temperature seemed to be rising rapidly. "But maybe we should get out of here. I don't want to be grilled!"
Without saying anything, Keno turned around with me in his arms and ran ahead of the others down the wide steps while I pulled away from his shoulder to look into his beautiful face.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you," I smiled tearfully, then savored his genuine laugh as we slowly drifted further and further from this burning hell.
"Finally you're enjoying the sight of me. Otherwise you'll flee or insult me. You should let yourself be kidnapped by vampires more often," he smiled stupidly and I immediately hit his arm lightly, which made him laugh again.
"You're an idiot," I murmured, placing my lips tenderly on his, eager for his nearness. "My idiot."
He returned the kiss and grabbed my bottom with his hands, which he had under my butt, so that my middle immediately heated up and I let my tongue play passionately with his.
"Wow," I heard Juniper next to me, though, and reluctantly pulled away from Keno to try somehow to stay sane despite his proximity. "If you would have just answered me like that."
"What?" Keno growled angrily, lowering me in the process, causing me to look at Juniper in panic, who even seemed to find it amusing provoking my mate.
"Well, your sweetie stuck her tongue down my throat five minutes ago. The sight of you makes me a little bit jealous."
The blonde gave me an amused wink and Yasha seemed to like the atmosphere too. No wonder. After all, they lived off the emotions of other creatures and seemed to enjoy pushing others to their limits.
"I would have loved to see that," Jamal suddenly said, but when my angry look fell on him, my eyes immediately widened and my mouth gaped wide in amazement.
"Hold your-"
"Keno!" I breathed under my mate and reached for his hand with my hand as I watched almost breathlessly as far away the huge castle was ablaze, lighting up everything around us. Only the dark forest around us still seemed dark. The rest blushed from the wild flames and the dark smoke rising high into the sky made the sight just incredible. It should have been painted, it looked so unique.
"Wow," said Yasha suddenly, who stood in amazement in front of us and with her fiery red hair just fitted perfectly into this picture.
"It makes you hungry," Jamal explained, but quickly turned back to Keno, who held my hand tightly and watched the demise of the vampires just like me. "Can we go home please?"
He looked kind of snivelling to Keno, who nodded at him silently and turned back to me. "Let's go, little one," he whispered and gave me a gentle kiss on my forehead while my gaze wandered to Juniper, who also came towards me at the moment and smiled brightly.
"I guess it's time to say goodbye," she said and was about to hug me, but Keno stood in front of me, growling, so that she looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Get out of my way, or should I sic Yasha on you again?" she asked with a grin, but Keno made no move to let her, so I took the initiative.
"It's okay, big guy," I reassured him, even though I could understand him at the same time. He wasn't there in there. Had no idea what those disgusting creatures were trying to do to me, and didn't know that it was only thanks to that petite witch that I and the peanut were alive.
I put my hand on his back soothingly, stepping past him with a smile on my face to give Juniper a grateful look.
"I wish you all the best, so basically lots of sex with bad people," I said, giggling slightly, and couldn't help but pull her briefly into my arms.
"All the best to you and the baby too. May this guy treat you like you deserve," she whispered in my ear for only me to hear, then pulled away to step back towards Yasha .
"Well then," the redhead said, giving Jamal a seductive wink. "Maybe we'll see each other again," she breathed and Jamal, of course, immediately agreed.
"Well, I wouldn't have anything against two such hot women underneath me," he grinned dirty, but Juniper rolled her eyes at me and we wolves stayed here for a while between the forest and the burning castle to watch the sex-obsessed witches like her with their light linen shirts and dark trousers, disappeared dancing into the darkness.
And then, then it became very quiet around us...
"We should go too. Who knows what Aymo at home-"
"I'm pregnant!" I suddenly burst out loud and with wide eyes and a racing heart I looked up at Keno, who, completely speechless, let his eyes wander back and forth between my face and my stomach again and again.
"I-" he suddenly stuttered and I couldn't help but smile at his utterly confused expression.
"I can't believe it," he said, wide-eyed and suddenly beamed so happily that looking at his eyes I was sure I could forget the past. It was just the three of us... and Jamal, who just happily swept me into his arms.
"I'm going to be an uncle!" he roared through the night in a dark voice as if he wanted to tell the whole world and Keno quickly grabbed my arm to pull me close to him.
"You couldn't make me any happier," he breathed against my lips, almost breathless from shock, and immediately pulled me into a kiss that took me so much that I no longer even noticed the dancing Jamal next to me.
I was just glad... glad he found me...
but there was still a lot to talk about, because no matter how nice everything was, vampires were holding women wolves all over the world and even if I always thought I was nothing special, I felt it was my task to help these wolves.
