Chapter 106

Zach –

In an email I received from Xander, he explained that his mate had been kidnapped, and that she was carrying his pups, multiple pups, within her body. As soon as I heard this I immediately told him I was going to talk to my Alpha (Alpha Hunter). After I passed this information along to my Alpha, he immediately called Xander. Since the Rogue Kings brother was an Alpha of his own pack, Alpha Hunter knew where the brother lived. Additionally, he told him he will send men to help the Prince and the King locate his mate. As far as he is concerned, his brother knows where the Rogue King is.

Xander –

It was after talking to Alpha Hunter, that I had rallied up some forces, and we were going to take down the Rogue King once and for all; of course, the first thing I had to do was to save my mate and my pups from the clutches of the Rogue King.

Since I have not slept for days, I have been a mess and I have not been able to function properly. There is something wrong with me that makes me irritable every time someone returns without her, after I have exhausted every effort to find her. They are literally thrown out of my presence. In order to ensure that I do not injure the men who are only trying to help us, my father stays near to me at all times.

The feeling of helplessness I feel is unbearable. I should have been by her side, protecting my mate, keeping her safe. What kind of pathetic mate am I, that I cannot protect my beloved mate from harm, as I was unable to do that. After losing her memory, she is likely to be crying and shaking in a dank and dark cell all by herself in which she has lost all memory. After putting my head in my hands, I began to sob. It is rare for me to cry, but I felt so lost without her, I had no words to describe how my heart felt. Only one thing I could think of to do at that moment was to cry.

Xander had no idea at the time that he had magical beings as allies around him. His beta Michael's mate is an elf.

As a result, they have the ability to work with nature in a harmonious manner. Basically, you can make the trees move and the wildlife do what you tell them to do. Due to the fact that the elves considered nature a sacred thing, nature reciprocated their gratitude by obeying the elves.

The Golden Dragon King revered the wolves for putting up with his wayward son for so long.

It seems now the Fairies were saving his mate unbeknownst to him, and they will be able to help him in the war to come. Despite Xander's fears, the situation wasn't as bleak as he had thought.

In a message I sent to the beta, I announced that Alpha Hunter is sending men to take us to the Rogue Kings brothers pack. There was a need for us to gather up the men and rush to get my mate as soon as possible. In addition to the Lieutenant of the guard, I would like to have him with us as well. Besides being a skilled tracker, he was also an assassin when needed. Taking a chance on something like this was not something I would do. Those who followed the Rogue King as well as the Rogue King himself would have a bloody journey.

Having gathered the men together, I prepared to attack the Rogue King. After Hunter's men arrived, we loaded a small entourage into his helicopter and flew to the pack Alpha Hunter had told me about. In the helicopter that flew over the area where Rogue King's brothers lived, Omegas were mapping out the location of the pack. Our plan is to take as much time as possible during our descent. This brother of the Rogue King was actually going to be given the advantage of being asked to hand over his brother to me if I requested it. If he does not agree, then we will kill him and take over his pack. Until I had my mate back in my arms, I had no intention of letting anything get in my way.

Clair –

Floating with the little princess, I had drifted into a breathtaking valley of daisies and rays of dancing sunshine that surrounded us. Many fairies came and circled us, all communicating in fairy language as they spoke to each other. There was an older fairy couple who came up to Ellette and hugged her. The older couple was holding Ellette tightly and they were all crying at the same time. In spite of the fact that I could not understand their language, I knew that the young princess was telling them the story of how she had lost her parents and what she had gone through.

I have noticed that I am getting the most agonizing pains in my back that seem to echo throughout my whole body at the same time. Initially they come on gradually, like they are climbing a mountain. Then they become so excruciating that I am not able to move, I can only scream, and then they slow down and they go away. There seems to be an irregularity to their appearance. There was a time when they came every 20 minutes, but the next time it was only 10 minutes apart. While I still have a couple of weeks to go before the birth of multiple puppies, I do not feel ready to start getting in the mood to labor yet.

All the fairies within hearing distance looked at me while I was screaming surely thinking I am a madwoman. They hurry to me realizing that I was in distress and with magic they lift me and take me to a room clearly meant for fairies.

In an effort to reach Ellette, I tried mind-linking her, hoping she could hear me as the pain is too strong for me to be able to speak. It was then that I asked if it was possible for me to be teleported to my mother. As long as I focused hard enough, I could most likely be taken to my mother by someone who wanted to help me. A mother's support would be invaluable to me if I were having pups.

It was a surprise when the little princess answered me and told me that her grandparents and some of the fairy warriors would take me as soon as possible. I concentrated hard on my mother so that they would be able to read my mind and know where I wanted to go.

Upon entering my old pack, I see my mother hauling women and children into the safe house, and I am struck by how odd it seems. In the end, I was unable to handle the pain any longer, and I passed out as a result.
