Chapter 108

As Tobias flew through fairyland, many of the fairies bowed to him, realizing that he was the King of Unicorns. Then, he bowed his head in respect and shifted so that I was now looking at everyone. Quite naked, I might add.

I had tied clothes to my legs the last time I had shifted, but I put them back on when I reached the Rogues pack lands. In my hurry to find Clair, I forgot to strip first. As I stand here, I am covering the jewels of my family. It does not bother me that other wolves see me in this manner. In spite of this, I am not familiar with these people, and they seem fascinated by my anatomy. As she flicks her wand, one fairy giggles and poof has me dressed. As you can see, I am dressed in fairy clothes.

I am then escorted to their Queen by the Fairies, who all seem very sad. Later, it dawned on me that they must be mourning the Fairy King who had passed away earlier. The thought of their loss made my heart ache.

The queen was not what I expected, on the throne was a tiny person, possibly 6 years of age. I did recognize her scent, it was the scent in the cell and in the bedroom back at the rogues packhouse.

Kneeling, my head bent, I ask, “My queen, have you seen my mate who is pregnant with my pups? ”””

The little voice said, "Your mate is safe with my grandparents. Please rise." It was urgent for her to be with her mother because she was experiencing labor pains. It would be my pleasure to have a few more of my warriors teleport you to her if you wish.”

My head rose and I nodded, stating, "I would very much appreciate it." My deepest condolences are extended to you for your loss, your highness. My men have located your father's body and are preparing him to be brought here." A tear runs down her cheek. I would like to hug the little girl, but she shakes her head and calls over her warriors.

"I am Ellette, and these warriors will ensure that you reach your mate safely."

As my eyes turn to Ellette, I say, “Thank you very much, dear Queen, and if you need anything, please contact my Kingdom.” Consider us an ally.” She nods, and the next thing I know I am in the middle of a rogue war with the rogues attacking my mate's old pack.

Although I can now mind link my mate, it is silent when I attempt to do so. The feeling of panic is rising within me. Clair must hide with the women and children during a war. Children. I quickly locate The secret tunnels that lead to the secret safe room and pull out the universal key to unlock the hidden room.

When I was naked moments ago, you wondered how I had a key. Well before I was born, some royal witches arranged for any pack the Royals have under them to be able to summon a key to any building on its grounds. Therefore, I am in possession of the key to this door as well as all other doors and packs under my direction.

In spite of the fact that I know I need to fight with my men outside, I first had to make certain that my mate is okay since it has been a few weeks since she was kidnapped. It is impossible for me to imagine what she must have gone through. Firstly, my wolf and I have to make sure that Clair is both well and safe before we make any other decisions.

I was assaulted by 2 women when I entered the tunnels through the first door. I guess they are the twin sisters of the Alphas, the Lunas, who are also attacking me. I gasp for air as one is on my back and has me in a choke hold, and the other with a knife at my throat.

When the Luna that had the knife to my throat got a good look at me, she gasped, and bent down to her knees. I apologize to your highness, and her twin followed suit.

They walked me through a series of dimly lit hallways, until a door came into view. They unlocked the door and from that door was a massive descending stairway down. I followed the stairs down until it ended in a great hall, where there were hundreds of dining tables, towards the back was the kitchen. I mind link Luna Constance, who is Clair’s mother and let her know I am in the great hall and if she could send someone to take me to my mate.

I hear Constance reply, “Thank the Goddess you are here. I am coming right away.”

When Constance was in sight she ran over to me, giving me a big hug. I am glad you are well your highness.

“How is Clair?” I ask her mother.

“Clair has been unconscious for several days. Her vitals are fine according the pack doctor. The fairies that brought her here, stated that since she is pregnant and with so many pups, her body shut down to heal itself. I had a healer come as well, and they all state she will be fine. I just wish she would wake up. When she first got here she was in some premature labor, however since it was still too soon to have the pups, the doctor and healer gave her meds and some kind of herbs to help the labor to stop.

Your highness, did you realize Clair is having 6 pups? She will probably go into labor earlier than a normal she wolf due to so many pups.”

I hear Constance take a sigh, and we walk quietly together to the back room, where an entire suite is setup for us. We walk through the living room and into our bedroom here in the emergency shelter. I see my poor mate with her hair spread across a pillow as she slumbers peacefully. She is slightly pale, but I am sure it is because she is so far along in her pregnancy now.

I sit down next to her touching her hand and kissing her forehead. In the background Constance bids farewell to give us time alone. I am glad she did, as I needed to be alone with my mate. My mate was either running away or being kidnapped. How could I have not been a better protector? Whispering into Clair’s ear, “I love you and I am here.” I climbed in next to Clair and held her tightly. I first will take a short nap with my mate hoping it will bring her back to consciousness, then I will help save my kingdom.
