Chapter 16

Back at the pack with Cameron and Colt, they are discussing Colt's pack.

Colt -

My pack depends on us, but we let them down, and I need to rescue the survivors." "Alpha, I hope you could help me get my pack back from the rogues. I hope that I still have a pack left."

Cameron -

I sent a mind link to all my family members, except for my runaway sister. I ask them to come over so that we could talk about what to do with Colt's pack. In this part of the country, we have the strongest, fiercest pack of wolves, and have helped many a pack to save themselves for wolves.

I need to spend some quality time with my little brother so that we can bond. In all these years, my mother has cried over the fact that they could never see Colt's body. Even though she didn't see him, she always has the feeling that he is still alive. I act like an ass the way I treat him; I need to make it up to him. Although Colt was not raised with us, he is still my brother.

I grin at him and put my hand on his shoulder. "Come on, brother, let's build an army and take that pack back." "Tell me are you planning to be the Alpha? If the previous Alpha and his Luna are still alive, the council will not allow them to take their pack back. Having kidnapped you, they should face death.

You asked me not to kill him, so I will put them behind bars so that they can be together. However, I am not above them; the council and Alpha King will probably make the final decision. Since you are my brother, I will do all I can to help you. However, my heart wants to rip their heads off for causing my mother all this suffering."

I have sent a mind link to the pack witch. This way, Colt could see what happened when he had been taken. The hurt and fear that my parents had been through. In the aftermath of Colt's kidnapping and the news that he had died, I want him to see what we suffered through. In this way, if he decides with us, he can also see our point of view.

: Walking into the conference room I see my parents, my Luna, and my siblings. Coming in behind Colt and I is the pack witch.

"Hello Erica, let me talk to you in the other room really quick."

Erica bows, showing her neck in respect.

"Erica, as you were. Follow me. The rest of you listen to Colt about what he needs and discuss it amongst yourselves, and make our brother feel welcome and loved."

Colt sits next to our mother, and she grabs his hand, smiling and tears falling at the same time. I turn and walk out of the room, to another meeting room next to this meeting room.

I gesture to Erica that she should sit down, and I sit across from her at the table for her to sit down.

"Apparently, Colt is my brother who was supposed to have lost his life at birth. My mother never believed he was dead and never believed it to be true, either. He is alive, and I would like him to experience my mother's and father's memories both before and after that day involving his disappearance. Then when the Alpha and Luna who kidnapped him are taken into custody, he will understand why and how bad it was about us emotionally.''

Erica -

"Alpha, are we going to do this here? I would like as much privacy as I can with Colt and them. You're welcome to stay, but the others may be too distracting. "Alright, Alpha, if you don't mind, call your parents and Colt at the table. I am ready to start. Have Colt sit in between his parents so that they can both hold hands and have a connection."

Then I nod to Erica and send out a mind link to all three of them, informing them I need them to join me in this. And when they acknowledge my request, they confirm they will be there in just a moment.

When the door opens, my father, my mother, and last but not least Colt, show up.

Upon entering, I ask my father and mother to sit on either side of Colt. Erica looks at my mother with a smile on her face, "Hello Erica, nice to see you today, what is our pleasure in meeting with you today?" I see my mother ask Erica.

This is my queue to speak up, "Mother, Father, Colt, I am having Erica bring the memories you suffered from losing him right after your pregnancy, and from several months after. I want him to see how it affected you guys."

My mother grimaces for a moment, but she agrees as she lets Colt see her memories.

There is no expression on Colt's face. He may not be crazy about this idea, but he will see its value once he experiences it.

Erica -

Alpha, Luna, Colt, I am going to have my hands on Colt's head, and I am going to begin with some incantations and then I am going to have you drink some tea that I made especially for this purpose. The tea will get you into a meditative state, and the incantations will direct you to the period that is in question.

I am explaining each step to make sure that you will not be afraid." I look at Alpha Cameron and address him.

'Alpha Cameron, could you be so kind as to come to the kitchen in order to fetch the cups of tea, if that's fine with you?''

In no time at all, the Alpha turns to me and nods his head, smiling as he hurries out to get the tea. It isn't long before the Alpha comes back carrying the three cups of tea through the door. Then he puts the cups of tea in front of his parents and brother. As I nod, I ask them to drink the tea.

Then I walk over and place my hands on Colt's head as soon as they have finished drinking the tea. Since they need to be relaxed, I softly mutter the incantation to induce a state of relaxation. Once they are under, I will also see what they see, and pull them out once it is time.

I can now see visions of the past as the Luna, is laughing with her friend at how silly she looks waddling.

Constance -

"I can hardly wait until you get pregnant, Rosie, then I can tease you".

Rosie -

"I know right, believe me it isn't for a lack of trying. I haven't gotten a pup." Rosie looks sad.

Constance -

I walk over and hug my friend; we have been friends since we were in diapers. Her mate is head of the Peace pack, they never fight, they try to talk things out. They are the negotiators for all the packs.

Next scene -

Cameron -

"Can you believe it Josh, another twin? I am getting a little girl this time; I will have 7 hulking Alpha boys and a daughter. Wow, time flies doesn't my friend? How's your pack, my friend, I can't believe you guys have never been to war with the rogues?"

Colt -

Those are the parents that raised me, they never let me know they were my biological parents' best friends, why?

Scene changes - Constance is in labor at the hospital

Rosie -

"Constance, you can do this! Breathe in through the nose, and out through the mouth."

Constance -

"Where is Cameron?!!! Why is he not here?"

Rosie -

"He is on his way baby!"

Scene Changes to Cameron and Josh

Josh -

"Cameron, bet you can't beat me in another game of gulf!"

Cameron -

"Game on dude!"

Scene changed to the hospital: Through Colt's eyes from his bassinet

Rosie -

"You are my cousin, I need you to take the baby, you can tell her the baby died and was born deformed so rather he sees the baby that way, you had her cremated. What is in our favor is she passed out; she hasn't seen either baby yet. I will pay you One million dollars, that is every cent of my savings. It is unfair she can pump out so many kids and we can't have one child. We need an heir for our pack. Her cousin nodded and took the baby out, and when the nurse returned. Both the nurse and Rosie were in tears."

The nurse explained to Constance that her baby had been born with his insides turned out and they didn't want her to see her dead baby that way, so they cremated him.

Constance -

I don't understand it, they never saw a deformity in the sonograms.

"Where is my mate? Tell him to get here right now, or I will cut his balls off!"

Rosie -

"Hi Beta, could you find the Alpha and my mate and tell them to get to the hospital urgently? "

Cameron -

My beta comes running, stating it is an emergency and that if I don’t come immediately my mate would cut off my balls. I am thinking why no one call me, and I take out my cell phone, and notice it is off. I do have my mind link blocked; I do want pack members bothering me through the game.

I need time off every now and then. I feel guilty as my wife is pregnant, I never should have let the wall up in my mind. Josh and I hurry to the hospital.
