Chapter 31

Colt -

I keep Rose (my little sister) with me in a 2-bedroom suite. My biological mother has her seeing therapy to help with this entire ordeal. My sister seems to get attached to my mother. My mother comes in and lays down with her every night and reads to her.

I am concerned about Rose; the doctor had given her a physical and had performed blood work, making certain the wolfs bane didn't affect her. It surprised the doctor when he saw it did nothing really to my sister. Why? Because she isn't a wolf, she isn't a human either.

I then realized that the people who I saw as my parents all these years had once again lied to me. And they are not Rose's parents either, from a genetic standpoint. When I told my mother that I was going out for a walk, she smiled happily at me while she was reading to Rose.

The situation overwhelmed me as I contemplated it. What I wanted to know was, who is Rose's biological father? The question which arises is whether Rose will cope with moving with people she does not know, regardless of whether they are biologically related to her?

It is strange that Rose has grown to become so attached to my mother, so that she is calling her Nana all the time. Rose has been glued to my mother's hip when she is not at her daycare. Because of this, I am left wondering what the right thing to do would be. Because of my anger, it led me to the dungeons of the castle, where I smelled a lot of puke and vomit, and urine.

The guards led me to their cells; the guards had them in cells across from each other. I didn't even look at the woman who claimed to be my mother. I had the guard open my father's cell, and I pummeled on him, screaming repeatedly. Who are Rose's actual parents? The man who claimed to be my father kept saying they were Rose's father. I yelled liar!!! Why do you never tell the truth?!!!

My wolf is taking over, and I cannot seem to quit pummeling him. The guard must have called Cameron, my brother to come and calm me down.

Cameron and the other guards were trying to get me off a now passed out father. They called the pack doctor for the man that used to be my father. I told them a week ago they belonged in cells and not house arrest. Cameron used his Alpha voice on me, which didn't work because I was an Alpha as well. That is when about 5 guards and my brother sat on me until I calmed down. Once I calmed down, everyone stood up and Cameron ordered the guards to have the doctor take care of my ex-father. Then lock him back up.

Cameron -

"I don't know what that was about back there, Colt, but let's run off some of that energy.

Colt -

We head to the tree line and take off our clothes and hold them in our mouths as we shift into our wolves. I didn't even wait for Cameron to run; I was running out of all that frustration and anger I had been holding in for some time now. After about an hour of running, I slowed down and walked over to a lake, and sat as I shifted back into my human form. Cameron switched to his human form as well. Shifters were used to being naked, and that is how we both sat. I was quiet for a few minutes as I let the waterfalls soothe my aura.

Cameron -

"Talk to me, brother. I want you to know, I am your oldest brother, and I ALWAYS will have your back. What happened back there?”

Colt -

I took in a deep breath mostly just to calm myself.

"I have been talking to the doctors the past couple of days while they gave Rose physicals. The doctor called me into the office today, I didn't really expect anything as the doctor until now kept giving great readings on her checkups. Today the doctor brought me into his office. The doctor informed me that Rose was not biologically my parents either. In face Rose was not even a wolf.

She isn't human either, the doctor thinks she might be of dragon genetics, but he is uncertain, he needs to do more testing. Those people who pretended to be our parents once again lied. I don't know with Rose being so young how much change she can handle. I mean we are going to have to find her biological parents. It isn't right. They don't know what happened to their baby girl, but I don't know that Rose could handle this.”

I could see Cameron becoming enraged as well as I did. At the moment, Cameron is silent. I am sure that Cameron is trying to get control over the wolf. I can see Cameron clearing his throat.

Cameron -

"If Rose is a dragon, we do not know how to help her when she shifts, or what is going to happen to her. Don't worry, she is family; so, we always have relatives back. We just need to find her family and ask them to stay on pack grounds until she feels comfortable with them. She is your sister. What are your thoughts?"

"I will call together a council meeting, I also know one of the Dragon King, they have several Dragon King. It all must deal with the colors of their pack dragons. Hey Colt, ask your sister if she has a colored birthmark anywhere, that may tell us what pack of dragons she came from. Also, let me know what the doctor finds out from her blood work.”

Colt -

Then, I lightly nodded and headed to my room, keeping in mind that I needed to get my room in order, as soon as possible, as next week, along with Beavis and Butthead, as Clair lovingly refers to them, I will fly to Alpha school.

Cameron called behind me and told me to be at the large meeting room in about an hour, I turned and nodded in compliance
