Chapter 61

Beta Michael –

As soon as all the royals left, I introduced myself to Alpha Cameron. I needed to find my mate that ran off. She wasn't a wolf, and she wasn't a human either. Whoever she is, she is my mate, and I have waited too many years to find her.

"Alpha Cameron, I saw a beautiful woman that was a nanny to a child. Neither of them are wolves. Do you know where I could find her? She has the most amazing emerald green eyes. Sir, she is my mate, my wolf told me when we saw her earlier."

I see Alpha Cameron sigh and then lift his head from the paperwork on his desk.

Immediately not wanting to offend the Alpha, I apologized for interrupting him, "Alpha, I am sorry if I interrupted you during you work. I can come back later when it is more convenient for you?" I kept hoping he would say stay, as my wolf wants to find her now.

The Alpha smiled, "No really, it is not a bother. I will have to get this woman's permission as she is being protected by the pack. So if you hold on I will call her real quick. She can explain why if she learns to trust you."

Alpha Cameron picks up his cell phone from his desk, I watched him type in the number on the touchscreen. I can tell she answered the phone. I can hear her quiet voice from here. Wolves have exceptional hearing, we can hear from far distances.

Alpha Cameron –

"Elanor, how are you today?

Elanor –

"Alpha, I am a little concerned, I saw a dragon in the pack. He didn't notice us, I just wanted to make sure he won't be an issue."

Alpha —

“He is a golden one, and his father we know. However, we can get you guys better disguises if you feel uncomfortable? Besides, I have forgotten he was here, it is time for him to go home anyway, he has overstayed his welcome. I have something else to ask you. Did you meet a young man earlier? He would love to talk to you.”

Elanor —

I think for a minute, I have a feeling he wants to ask me out. I have never had a social life, and I really don’t think I should have one as long as I am protecting the princess. The princess is eyeing me and invading my thoughts. Her magic is growing every day, I am going to have to teach her to respect peoples privacy. I watch Akira walk over and she takes the phone from me.

Akira –

“Tell the man we will meet him in the pack house library. Thank you Alpha.” I hang up the phone.

Elanor –

“Don’t you think it is my right to accept or decline?”

Akira —

"My powers are getting stronger every day, and I can tell he is to be an integral part of your future. Your future is entertained by mine, which means he will benefit me. Let us go to the library and meet him properly.”

Elanor -

"You realize he is a wolf, and I am an elf? Right?’

Akira –

"If species didn't mate with other species, the green dragons would not exist. As we are part dragon and part elf. Do not wiggle out of this! You need to have a life; I will not be with you until I die. I know you love me and want to dedicate all your time to me. You have a strong sense of duty, but if you go out, the Luna will watch me. She looks at me as one of her own children.”

Elanor—

"If we are more visible, someone could recognize us.”

Akira –

“Then we get some witches and change our looks, besides I would like to start a school so I can make friends with kids my age. We need to get colored contacts and change our hair color. Wear long hair over our ears. Witches can make our facial appearance look different. You see, we can be out and about and still be hidden.”

Elanor –

“You are only 6 years old, how is it you are so wise?”

Akira smiled and shrugged.

Beta Michael –

I found the pack library and found a seat watching the door. I would try to sit and then I would stand up and pace. I am not sure why I am pacing, maybe it is because of my nerves are on edge. This girl isn’t a wolf and what does she know about mates? Will she reject me? She is living on pack lands, what does she know about our kind here?

Turning quickly, I hoped it was her, but it was just a pup. I sigh, wondering what was taking so long. Maybe she blew me off?

As I walk towards the door, it almost hits me as it opens. My nose fills with the scent of honeysuckle and rose. I stare at her eyes, unable to look away. The eyes are said to be the window to the soul. Although I don't know about that, I know I am lost in her emerald eyes as they wrap around my heart and pull me in.

Akira –

I look at Elanor and this guy and they have gone comatose. I keep trying to get their attention. Shaking my head, I decided to stomp on this guys foot. I know I am only 6 years old, but I can stomp hard and cause some serious pain. Which I did considering he yelped and fell into Elanor and they both landed on the floor.

I couldn’t help laughing they looked so funny. The guy was standing up and gave Elanor a hand. Helping her up, he looked like he was blushing.

I watched Elanor turn red from anger, glaring at me.

Elanor –

“What is your problem Akira, I have never grounded you before but this maybe the first time. What were you thinking?”

Akira –

“I couldn’t get you guys out of your comatose state. I knew he could handle getting hurt better than you could Elanor. You were comatose, and I saved both of your lives. You can thank me later.” Giggling I walked over to the kids book section.

Elanor –

“Akira! Come back here!”

Michael –

I couldn’t help but laugh, that little girl is a handful and so cute. I put my hand on Elanor’s shoulder and I felt the mate sparks, I notice that Elanor must too, she jumped at my touch. Then again I could have startled her. She isn’t a wolf after all, and she may not feel the pull. Which scares me, I need to win her over. My wolf will follow her for the rest of our lives.

I notice a sofa that sits two in the corner. Perfect I think to myself. I take her hand and again the sparks. She felt them and took her hand back.

Elanor—

“What was that?”
