Chapter 78

Prince Xander –

Why won’t the Rogue King leave us be? It took me forever to obtain Clair’s heart, I want to make certain she is mine for today and eternity. The wedding will go on this weekend, just not as planned. I will reduce the size of the wedding guests; I don’t want the rogue king to have access to my people. I will move the wedding elsewhere and it will now become a small wedding, family members only.

The honeymoon might have to be cut short if the rogue king does attack my kingdom. I am sitting up in bed while I watch Clair sleep, she is so perfect. She is smart, sexy, fun, the moon goddess couldn’t have mated me to a more perfect match. I run my fingers through her tussled hair, it is so soft and beautiful.

I have had my beta’s contact all the packs, letting them know to be on high alert. The rogue is planning to attack. I told them to only trust their closest personnel, as there is moles in the packs reporting to the rogue king.

When I look at my mate, I think of the song “Time in a bottle” by Jim Croce.

I started humming the song lowly as not to wake her, however dragons have excellent hearing. I see her eyes flutter and she snuggles into me tighter. I used to hate love songs, but now they are the only songs I play. I never realized until I met Clair how good it was to love and be loved.

I mind linked the cook; I was going to serve Clair breakfast in bed. She is my everything to me. I got a knock on the door shortly after I ordered the food. I threw on some long sweatpants and walked out of the bedroom, through the living room to open the door. The omega wheeled in our food, and I nodded for her to leave, I had this covered now. I walk in with our cart of food, and I see my beautiful mate sitting up, rubbing her eyes. I smile as I am staring at my mates beauty, as I am always mesmerized by her beauty.

I hand her the plate I had the omega make for her. I fluff her pillows behind her so she can sit up straight using a lap tray for her plates with food.

Clair smiles and asks me what all of this is for. I let her know it was only because I felt grateful for her love. It was so cute to see her blush and then he “Thank-You.”

After eating I collected our trays of dirty dishes put them on the cart, then rolled the cart outside our door and mind-linked the omega to come and get the dirty dishes.

I sat down next to Clair on the bed and was talking to her about my thoughts and dangers around the wedding. Clair came up an idea that the many packs the would like to watch we can have a virtual wedding for them.

This was the plan we are going with for our wedding, for the many packs and wolves that could not attend they can watch virtually. For our immediate family and guests, we will give them an undisclosed location for the wedding. I took Clair in my arms and decided it was time for a little romp in the sheets.

Once we had a tousled in the sheets, I carried Clair to take a shower in the sheets while talking to my cubs in her belly. I made jokes of horrible names to give our babies depending on their gender. Clair slapped lightly on the back of the head.

During Clair’s and Colts sleep, she let them know that Xantara and Xander would be getting their Unicorns this week, and because the next alignment isn’t for a long time, this is a gift from the Gods’. The God’s stated they will need the unicorns to win this war as dragons are involved.

The Moon Goddess has a sense of humor, the moon goddess decided it would be a surprise. I kept giggling inside, I so love pranking my mate. I hope even when we are old we laugh at such things.

Xander –

Clair and I got dressed for the day. Clair had training today. I didn't want her to go because she is pregnant with our pups. However, she insisted it would be okay. I patted the bed for her to come sit next to me. Clair looked at me warily wondering what I was going to do. I laughed at her distrust, I just wanted to give her a back rub. Granted I am planning to write on the back of her shirt, “Don’t ask me, I just need a hug.” I thought about tying her shoes laces to the other shoelaces. However, I don’t want her to get hurt or my pups she carries.

After the back rub I gave her, I tried to get her for some more mattress romping, but she stated she needed to get the training done and head the electronic security department to make certain everything is double secure for our wedding. I walked with Clair out of our suite and we happened upon her Alpha brother coming to visit my dad, he came up behind and hugged her, she was startled at first and then saw it was her brother and hugged him back. I am just cracking up inside, when she finally figures it out she is going to have my head on a silver platter. She is going to wonder why everyone is so loving today.

Clair went on to training and I went with Alpha Cameron to see my father and go over security measures for the coming weekend.
