Chapter 79

Clair –

I like a good hug every now and again, however everyone is too loving today. Everywhere I go people are hugging me. I couldn’t even get a good training today. During the training people were hugging me. I am really starting to get annoyed. I decided I will head back to my room to shower and change out of my training clothes.

When I got to my suite little Akira was there, waiting for me outside my door. I laugh inside of myself; she must be bored.

“Hey Akira, what’s up?” I turn to unlock the door to my suite.

Akira –

“Why do you have this written on the back of your shirt?”

Clair –

“What do you mean?”

Akira –

“You mean you don’t know?”

Clair –

“What does it say?” I see Akira giggle.

Akira –

"You have no idea about that, do you?"? I'm sure your mate did this to you. As the caption reads, "Don't ask me, I just need a hug." I couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably. Clair's face was burning up into all kinds of shades of red, as if she were on fire. I find this to be funny.

Clair –

“Akira we have work to do. We need to think and plan a perfect prank.. Xander is going under.”

We both sat on the bed for a little bit, then it occurred to me, what we could do is put blue food dye in the hand soap. We will make Xander a smurf. -

Akira decided to put the blue food coloring in Michael’s hand soap which is also Elanor’s hand soap, and she put it in Zach body soap as well. I giggled at the fun we were having. I needed to head to the security office.

In that moment, I held Akira's hand and walked along with her until we reached the place where the other children were playing. Each of them bowed to me as I walked by. When I asked them if they would like to play soccer, they all jumped for joy and began running to get the soccer balls. As soon as I introduced Akira to the girls, one of them grabbed her hand and she took off with the young girls. As soon as I started the game, I eventually gave up after having done what it was that I really wanted to do. Which was to make some friends for shy Akira.

Walking into my office I put my purse in a locked drawer, checked out the paperwork left on my desk and the requisitions that were requesting to be paid for various items.

In order to get the backlog of paperwork caught up, it took several hours. As soon as I was finished, I had one of the technicians take me to our security center. There, I sat in front of a visualization of each of the cameras. I noticed that one camera wasn't working. That was a big disappointment to me. That meant I had to look for a mole in this department. A security camera should never be out of action, there should always be backups for the backups as well. There is a crazy Rogue King out there that would love to take over our kingdom. However, they still hadn't fixed that, they didn't have backups of the backups of the backups? I was furious. Since the security technicians do not have any backups as well as them being out of commission and leaving us vulnerable, they will need to do 300 laps on the field.

The technician showing me around, his name is Alexander. I told him to get a couple guys out to the security camera and get it fixed now. Also, to have all the security center staff to meet me in the team meeting room. I need to talk to everyone.

Alexander took off and let everyone know to meet at the security center. Then he sent two of the technicians out to fix the security cameras.

I went into the meeting room and waited patiently while everyone came in. I ask 4 people to watch the security cameras, so we are always on top of everything. I would talk to them when I was finished with this group.

The response to my question was that they did not know how long the security camera had been out. I was very upset and I pounded on the desk so hard that it cracked in half from the force with which I pounded it. In a very firm voice I say, "There is a rogue king that would love nothing better than to have a weakness such as that of the security cameras being out.". At night the pack feels confident that you are doing your best to ensure that the security is running and not broken. We want to make sure that our electric fences are on and working properly. As a result of the lack of good security, if someone were to be killed, it would be our fault. Now I need a team of 5 and I want you to get 5 warriors so that you can accompany you. I want you to walk the pack grounds and make certain we don’t see any security breaches.

The first thing you all do in the morning before leaving for work is head over to the training field and do 300 laps together.

Whenever I find that a security camera has been broken or that any other security equipment has been broken with no one alerting the department, everyone runs as a form of punishment.

I sent everyone back to their posts and had them create hourly reports.

The guys I sent out to fix the camera had not returned, this concerned me, I mind link the beta that was in charge of the team walking the grounds and asked him to go check on the area that the security camera was broken and see how the men are.

Half and hour later I check to see if that camera was online yet, and it was. I could see the warriors. I could also see dead bodies on the ground. We do have an intruder, sent out a mass mind link. They are to report if anyone sees any suspicious characters, I made certain we double the guard and of course. I mind linked Xander and the King to let them know. I explained I was near that same camera. I had walked out to where the breach was and had people take the bodies to our morgue and sent a couple of soft spoken tecs to inform the families of the men deaths,.

I felt very anxious, as if someone is watching me. I can feel their eyes even if I can’t see them.
